“This may be the most underrated joint around. The bread on their sandwiches is world-class. They have an impressive menu offering of deli style sub sandwiches that rival the best in the business. They also make an outstanding hamburger. Do not expect a round bun because they put it on their amazing French style bread. They are traditionally made on a bit of onions and served up juicy at hot to order. It reminds me of an Oklahoma burger or a smash burger, but this thing seems to have some additional spices that make it pop. Many people do not realize that big Al's owns the right to sell the dole pineapple whip. That's the stuff at Disney. This is the only place around here that you can get it, and it's worth the drive. Big Al, being the entrepreneur that he is, has also added the Crabshack business to the Nixa location. I must admit, it's not a fancy joint, but it may be the best crab and shrimp meal. I have ever eaten at any price. I also feel good about supporting big Al because he has a big supporter of the community, the schools, and our first responders. there is even a community donation box and a code program on his property. I just think it's extra special supporting local businesses, and this one gets it right.“
“I drive by this little place all the time and always wanted to stop by. I finally tried it for the first time and it's a place I'll definitely visit again!I did stop by for a potato, but they don't serve their spuds on Saturdays. That was no biggie and a sweet girl gave me a menu to help me chose a different option! I got the Rooster and it's a really good! I did add salt and pepper when I got home, but that's just my personal preference. Also the price is a great for how much you get. I'll have to stop by again and try some of the other menu items!“
“Remains my favorite cafe in Springfield. The staff is always great, they use good quality beans, and it's one of the very few places in the area that actually sells whole specialty coffee. I stop here almost every time I have to go to Springfield and have literally never had a bad experience in the last 5+ years.“
“The service here is PERFECT. Elise is so sweet! I love coming to this location because of her. She gives the best recommendations and is so kind and funny. I love seeing her face every time because I know my drink will be yummy. She definitely deserves a raise for her kindness, willingness to help, and knowledge on the drinks. They are so quick at this location that sometimes I get sad I can't speak to the wonderful baristas longer. The people at this location have always been so kind and amazing. They are so accommodating and friendly--I couldn't imagine going to another location.“

“I love blacksheep but tonight my food was just not good and it was so disappointing because we usually never have any complaints. I got the loaded fries and they were not very good which getting them to go happens but the "pulled pork" was just huge chunks of extremely tough meat I could barely chew.“

“Stopped in here on our way through, what a perfect spot for a late breakfast, or a brunch. They have a lovely staff and it didn't feel busy despite the full parking lot and drive thru. The breakfast sandwiches were fantastic and fresh, and the muffins in the case were a tasty treat. If we ever find our way out here again, I'm sure we'll swing by.“
“I just left Black Dog, a shop which I’ve been in many times, but mostly for coffee not for food. They had just released a new chocolate orange cruffinish bread so I thought I’d give it a go. Words are hard to describe what I felt but It was the most amazing pastry experience I have ever had. Seriously from a man who loves pastries this is otherworldly. I can honestly say it is the best pastry I’ve ever eaten. I’m absolutely blown away. This has ruined me for other desserts. Well done Black Dog. Well done.“

“First off it's a very small shop and as you drive to the location it may look like it's not there. Well it is and it's delicious. I have attached photos which help for those who can really get a good visual of how they serve the food and the portions. It's more on the healthier side of things which I enjoy at times when you have been consuming butter and grease too often.“
“The first time we went, they were unfortunately out of their berries and my husband didn’t get something that he really enjoyed. However, the second time we ordered the ‘Clean Green’ smoothie and added protein powder… delicious! I also added strawberries to mine and enjoyed it!I liked that the protein powder wasn’t a strong tasting whey powder (I can’t seem to like them at all). We will definitely be back!“
