When we go there are usually not very many people which makes me sad because it’s so affordable and so delicious. I hope they have enough business to stay open always. I was on a work lunch or I would have taken photos of everything, from the fish pond at the front, bright white interior, tons of sunlight, everything was super clean, to the very nice bathrooms. Great date spot or lunch spot either way! We were recommended to get crab rangoon and the server told us they have the best rangoons in Springfield. They were very good, sitting in a flavorful sauce, that I could have spooned off the plate into my mouth, but I held back. My colleague was recommended the Mandarin Chicken, he was very happy with his decision. I ordered the tuna poke bowl, it was a lot like a sushi roll, deconstructed. It was very good, pleasing to the eye, I would totally order it again, but there were so many things I'd love to try on the menu!“
“Holy cow was this place good!!! All five of my family members were able to find something to feast on. I got the California roll and the spicy tuna! This filled me up with the great portion sizes! My family was able to find ramen to their hearts desire. We all felt this was a place to be if in town. The service from our waitress was amazing. It’s very clean and nicely decorated. Staff is very friendly and remembers me each time I come back. They even recall what table we sat at during the first visit. Highly recommend! “Great food and service! I sampled the Jalapeño bomb, Avocado bomb, Crab rangoon, The fire 3 roll, the Alaska roll with Jalapeño, and a seaweed salad to top it off! All delicious! All of the dishes left me satisfied. Ask for the Avocado Wasabi sauce! The perfect blend of spicy and sweet! Our waiter, Dustin, is always personable and attentive, making sure our needs were met. I recommend this place for anyone looking for good sushi in Springfield!“

“Wow, what a surprise finding this place was, and can I say it is worth giving it a chance? This was what my husband surprised me with for our anniversary lunch. It's in the Price Cutter strip mall on Battlefield and I usually shy away from strip mall restaurants due to way too many people but to my surprise it was slow probably because of the time of day I am so thankful my husband said "Let's try it". There were two other families in the restaurant, we were greeted as soon as we walked in by the sweetest young lady she told us her name was Mary, and she would be our waitress if we had any questions or concerns please ask she would take care of it right away. We placed our order and I got hot tea it arrived in a cast iron teapot and stayed hot the whole meal I was overjoyed by that, and my husband got a Diet Coke, Mary filled it without him ever asking her she was so polite and on top of everything. My husband ordered lunch and got the Tom Kha Khaki Soup Miso Soup, The Thai Connection with Fried Rice, The Volcano Shrimp with Fried Rice, and the Diversity Roll. The most expensive thing was the sushi at 14.95 but it was all so good and WELL WORTH the price. Ask for Mary when you go it will make her day!! “We came to Maru to celebrate our little dudes 7th birthday. This was our first visit but he wanted sweet chicken for dinner and birthday boy gets what he wants! I was a little nervous trying a new place for such a special occasion but it was a great experience all around. The entire staff and especially our waitress Emily, were so kind and welcoming and they went out of their way to make him feel special. The food and drinks were a hit for everyone. “Dietary restrictions: We had a person with a shellfish allergy, and our chef made sure that the person was not exposed to any allergen by thoroughly cleaning the grill before he began cooking and then cooked the meal, reserving the shrimp people had as the last cooked item.Kid-friendliness: We had an almost-3 yr old with us and the chef made her feel special, serving her foods she would love. The cashew chicken may not satisfy your "Springfield-style cashew chicken" yen, but there are a wide variety of other dishes. Some of their options are standard Chinese buffet fare, but there are several original combinations you're bound to love.Service was attentive and polite.“

The service has suffered like so many other places but the ones that are there work very hard so they get 5 stars.My biggest issue is that families normally come here to celebrate things, etc and there are no steps taken for noise dampening. You have to pass messages down from one end of the table to the other like a telephone game. Take that into consideration if you need to catch up or have someone with noise sensitivity.Parking: Parking is shared by detail other businesses but most aren't open at night so dinner parking is pretty easy.“
