“I'm from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, just 30 minutes east of New Orleans.I have moved around since hurricane Katrina. (not my choice)I'm now in Nixa, MO and I have been wanting some Catfish. I found this place here in Nixa called S.S. Dockside Grill and Pub. I've tried other places here but I have to say it is really good. I had the Catfish plate w/slaw and fries. Great!❤️I also had the fried pickle chips w/remoulade sauce.Hummm. All was very good. I was born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and it was pretty good considering it's not on the gulf coast.I give it a 5 ⭐ star rating.Thank you S.S. “They are doing everything right. Moving to this area a couple years ago, it’s been hard to find consistently good food, especially sushi. Ariake is both great food and service, cool vibe, nice owners, very quickly became our favorite spot in town!“
“Been here twice and both times was excellent. The steak was seasoned to perfection both times. The house salad is surprisingly delicious. The asparagus was flavorful. The kids enjoyed their food as well. “I just want to share my experience here at Krackin Cajun seafood restaurant. I am from GA visiting and decided to give it another chance with my seafood selection in this area. I must say I visited several places where I was highly disappointed on the seafood selection. So, I came across this place after reading the google reviews and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I took a chance they did not disappoint. The owner is from Louisiana, that explains why the seafood is good here in this area. I order the create your own seafood bag, with black mussels, live crawfish (which where big in size, I guess it’s because the crawfish are in season), and snow crab legs. The butter sauce used is very flavorful. The seafood itself was not bland tasting which made a great combination with the butter sauce. My server Kristine took very good care of me making sure I had what I needed. Ya’ll she even tied my bib on for me. lol! The atmosphere is pleasant. I felt as though I were eating seafood at a close relative house. So, for those of you who are just passing through or you are a local willing to get your hands dirty. This is the place.“

The guacamole was the best I've had in Springfield but the refried beans were a little different from what I'm used to. Not bad though. My husband had Los Cuates. “Hey bestie, you need to check this place out! The ambiance is amazing! I was on a work lunch or I would have taken photos of everything, from the fish pond at the front, bright white interior, tons of sunlight, everything was super clean, to the very nice bathrooms. Great date spot or lunch spot either way! We were recommended to get crab rangoon and the server told us they have the best rangoons in Springfield. They were very good, sitting in a flavorful sauce, that I could have spooned off the plate into my mouth, but I held back. My colleague was recommended the Mandarin Chicken, he was very happy with his decision. I ordered the tuna poke bowl, it was a lot like a sushi roll, deconstructed. It was very good, pleasing to the eye, I would totally order it again, but there were so many things I'd love to try on the menu!“
“Was looking for a yummy local seafood spot tonight and came across this place on Google so we took a shot. Glad we did! Our broil was full of delicious flavor with excellent quality and quantity. “This place is amazing. We're from Southern California originally, and I'm so happy we found this place! The price is reasonable, the guacamole is heavenly, and the flavors were spot on. We've only eaten here once so far, but it is really fantastic and we plan on returning. The lengua had some tough spots, and there was some gristle in the carne asada, but the flavor was so delectable that I don't mind a few tougher bites. And the pork tamale was the best I had had in my life! The masa to pork ratio was absolute perfection.This place was worth every dime. The restrooms were clean, and the service was fantastic!Vegetarian options: We have to eat Gluten Free, so Mexican food is a great option with the corn tortillas. But my 8 year old also just had rice and beans and quesadilla, which is vegetarian as long as they don't use beef or chicken broth in the beans. You'd have to ask. But I would consider this place able to accommodate vegetarians.Dietary restrictions: Our 4 year old that has to be gluten free had street tacos (pollo, lengua, and chorizo), and they didn't have an episode after eating here. They are just gluten intolerant, so if you're a person with true Celiac disease, still be cautious. But Mexican food tends to be the most friendly gluten free option while eating out, we've discovered.Kid-friendliness: My kids had a blast looking at all the beautiful murals and colors in this place. They also have high chairs and booster seats, though we're finally out of that stage of life.“

“We signed the walls which was very neat.The seafood cheese bread started was great, maybe the best part of the meal. The oysters were ok, but not rockefeller good, just a little garlic on them. The fries were pretty good, cajun style. None of the kids really liked the food. Fried mac and cheese puffs were odd, give em mac n cheese regular and it would've been fine lol. Corn good, potatoes weren't. Server was good but could've been more outgoing and seen service needs in advance“
“I've always been a fan of Captain D's. While I think it's more expensive than other fast food. Then again, it's not the same as a burger and fries, is it? The service was fast and friendly. “Not sure why people rate tbis place low. The food is good, service was greaat and fast. Went on xmas day, they were steady, but not overly busy. I got weat coast benedict, my family got a standard eggs/bacon bfast, biscuits and gravy, a wAffle and the turkey dinner. The rolls and buscuits were really good. The ropls and pancakes were light and not dense. Our waitress wa super nice and friendly. I would recommend trying it.“

“This may be the most underrated joint around. The bread on their sandwiches is world-class. They have an impressive menu offering of deli style sub sandwiches that rival the best in the business. They also make an outstanding hamburger. Do not expect a round bun because they put it on their amazing French style bread. They are traditionally made on a bit of onions and served up juicy at hot to order. It reminds me of an Oklahoma burger or a smash burger, but this thing seems to have some additional spices that make it pop. Many people do not realize that big Al's owns the right to sell the dole pineapple whip. That's the stuff at Disney. This is the only place around here that you can get it, and it's worth the drive. Big Al, being the entrepreneur that he is, has also added the Crabshack business to the Nixa location. I must admit, it's not a fancy joint, but it may be the best crab and shrimp meal. I have ever eaten at any price. I also feel good about supporting big Al because he has a big supporter of the community, the schools, and our first responders. there is even a community donation box and a code program on his property. I just think it's extra special supporting local businesses, and this one gets it right.“
