Don't miss these Raymore Mexican restaurant gems.
“The service was great. Friendly, lots of helpful people asking our table if anything else was needed, checking on us regularly.Food was delicious! Loved their cheese dip & the chicken entree with lots of vegetables I got.The atmosphere was nice, had to go down a star because the bathrooms definitely needed work.Kid-friendliness: Lots of quarter machines, a video game machine.“
“Raymore mo location. Staff was friendly, attentive, and really went above and beyond. Food was excellent and pretty quick. Clean dining area. I rarely eat fast food because service and food (everywhere) have gone downhill and gotten very unhealthy.I've been to this Taco Bell twice within a month or two and was very pleased with food and service on both visits.“
“Went on a weekday night around 6 o’clock based on a recommendation. The seating area was full, but it was pleasantly not loud. Despite their being TVs, you weren’t overstimulated by the environment, which was a fantastic change of pace. Even the position of the TVs felt intentional and while they were there, you could still focus on your dinner and guests and not what was playing on the TV.The staff really works together as a team, so we always had fresh chips and salsa and topped off waters. Being gluten-free there were plenty of options, and they were very knowledgeable (even having corn quesadillas). The chips were thin, and perfectly salted, which I like. Well, the quality is good and you’re definitely going to go home with leftovers. The pricing is also great. For example fajitas with steak and chicken and shrimp was only $18.It’s worth a visit!“
“The customer service here is fantastic. Every single staff member was kind and smiling and willing to help. The service is also fast which I appreciate since I didn’t have much time for lunch. I made a mistake and ordered the wrong dish so I can’t really rave about the food but it was still up to par.“
“Really good food and service in general. Below are just my personal preferences for my own reference.Coke 4/5Dr pepper 3/5Orange Fanta 4/5Salsa 3/5Cheese dip 4/5 (just plain cheese)Don chuy cheese 4/5Tortilla chips 3/5 (not salty)Rice 4/5Shredded Chicken quesadilla 5/5 (really good for shredded chicken)Barbacoa tacos 3/5Beef burrito 1/5Carnitas 1/5Street corn 0/5 (I don't like elote myself)“
“Go check out their new location. I’ve been coming here for about 3 years and have always liked it but it rivaled one of my favs in Overland Park. Tonight they blew them out of the water. They have definitely been putting their all into the not only the restaurant but the food too and I could definitely tell. Best meal I’ve had in a while. Tacos al pastor always hits but tonight it was other worldly. Also ordered pozole, tamales and elote. All was so fire will definitely be coming more often than I was.“
“Barrigas is a great local spot for delicious Mexican food. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is a pretty basic small midwestern town Mexican restaurant, and the service is pretty good. The prices are reasonable. My family and I have frequented this place for years.“
“Excellent experience! I went in about 8:30pm on a Friday night (they close at 10) and they were still pretty full but had a table for me to sit at alone without taking up too much space. They were very accommodating, and most importantly, the food was delicious!!! I had a chicken quesadilla, and 3 tacos. One each of: chorizo, carnitas, & chicken. All 3 were a delight! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who considers them self a fan of authentic Mexican food, done right! The food came out quickly and perfectly cooked. The hot sauce was a perfect pairing for the tacos. I’ll be back soon!“
“I'm just an average Joe, but in my opinion, Costa Vida is hands down better than Chipotle. You can never go wrong with the sweet pork anything. The customer service from start to finish was excellent and a great model for how all businesses in the customer service field should be.“
“Seriously the best carne asada & pastor tacos I have had! We tried this place for the first time last weekend - we live right down the street. We have ate here THREE more times because I can’t get their tacos off of my mind. Can’t wait to try their Tortas next! ?“
“First time trying this place and can I say Oh My Gawrd!!!! Delicious!!! The place is clean, the chips we done with clean oil, the hot sauce was actually hot, the server was a great guy. Just everything was perfect. You don’t get this kind of experience anymore. Good job everyone!“
“If you want delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine, this local establishment is the place to go. The people are always friendly and the environment is warm and inviting. From the crispy flautas, filling burritos, and delicious tacos; to the various snacks, candies and paletas, you’re sure to leave happily fed. This hidden gem puts in the extra work to bring a little bit of Mexico to Belton.Well worth the money in comparison to most places nowadays and will gladly return every chance I get.“
“The food is delicious. The food is so good that we took some home for later but ended up eating our take-out on the way home. The food is so good that the kids sat down, ate all of their food, and didn't give us a hard time. LVegetarian options: They have a few vegan and vegetarian options. They offer burritos and burrito bowls that you can design yourself.Dietary restrictions: This really isn't the place for dietary restrictions.Parking: It's in downtown Lee's Summit. You may have trouble funding a parking spot, but I can assure you that the walk will be fun. There are plenty of friendly people to guide your way and several places to window shop on the way.Kid-friendliness: There isn't much for kids to do except eat. Believe me, the food is good enough to keep the kids at the table.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps and plenty of tables out in the open.“
“I had a "to go" order with a great coupon; I asked about it, with a sweet response that the coupon was to help families out since the cost of living has gone up. I walked into a huge restaurant with a nice Mexican flair. The food was good, loved the salsa (mild so ask for something hotter?) but for pinto and black bean lovers, refried beans is only option.“
“We've been coming here for over 7 years now, and it's a family favorite. The food is incredible. I have at least 4 favorites, and they continually update and add new things. Some favs for reference, the choripollo, carnitas, chicken fajitas and tamales. The staff are incredible. They get to know you, and everyone is welcoming and helpful. The owners are always active and involved as well. It's comfortable, friendly and amazing. Not to mention the best margaritas around! Tried the new chicken and spinach enchiladas tonight and will be adding them to my rotation.“
“Love Rooster's. Although rustic, their food is always delicious. HUGE tenderloins, awesome roast beef on white bread with mashed potatoes and so much wonderful brown gravy over everything. I also love their meat salad. I usually can only eat half. There is so much ham and turkey! Love all the servers but, we try to ask for Karen.“
“First time here. Combo A is enough food for two people!! Everything from the chips and salsa, to the margaritas, to the combo plate is amazing! Great flavor and seasoning, not greasy! The service is exceptional and very friendly. I consider their menu prices very affordable in today’s economy. I highly recommend this establishment!!“
“Everything is great there !However ,The woman at the register seems to make us feel like we are ordering too much if we ask for extra salsa or cheese dip . She has a few times made comments like “really ? You want that too!?“Otherwise it’s great food !“
“It was ok. Aunt and ma said the margaritas tasted off like something was wrong with the mix. Management kept saying we just opened it. Guess what, just because u just opened it doesn't mean it isn't bad. Or maybe they bought a different brand to save money. The server was very nice and the food was ok.“
“Went there last night. The server was very polite but made a slight error with my wife's order. She ordered steak enchiladas and got chicken enchiladas. She tried the plate anyway and really liked it. The manager stopped by to ask us how everything was, and my wife told him of the error. She said it was so good that she didn't mind. The manager was very polite but insisted we let him make it right. He replaced my wife's meal with the steak enchiladas, which were even better! I had the carnitas tamales, which were also very good. We will definitely be back again!“
“To start off, the restaurant was busy. The greeter was extremely rude (1 star) from our first interaction until she took my payment. We were seated in a back corner off of the main room. After we were seated and given chips, no one came by for about 20 minutes. I finally poked my head around the corner to flag someone down. The manager came over and I mentioned no one had helped us and he came over and took over our table. He did a great job (5 stars) and our food was pretty good.“
“First time eating here today. We shared the beef super nachos and wow was it good and lots of flavor! Got the flautas also and they were the best we've had at any restaurant. Very reasonable too! They have protein bowls and we'll try those next time, that will be sooner rather than later ?“
“Their accents was heavy , so you already the food was gonna be Bomb ? ?. Ordered the carna asada and costillas de res en salsa, and they were super good home-made dishes. Tortillas were freshly cooked, and the sauces on the side were not too spicy, so I could actually enjoy them flavors. Over all a 9 out of 10 for an authentic Guerrero Mexican foreign very criollo high-end restaurant.Their coffee was excelente, and the owner introduced it as Coffe made in Guerrero, Mexico.La comida espectacular y bien criolla.Muy buen café.“
“I’m from Las Vegas NV. I didn’t think anywhere else could have better Mexican food than back home.I went out with the girls tonight and had a lot to drink, so I ordered ponchos for the first time using door dash. The food was incredible, and I got a tres leches cake at 4 am?!? Everything was hot and good.I’m really happy to have tried this place because it was chefs kiss, I’ll have to order from here all the time.“
“I absolutely love this restaurant!! I have one more Barrio to go, in KCMO, then I will have been to them all. Out of the three I have been to? I can’t say I have one favorite. I now have three favorites out of three if that’s possible. I chose the deep fried avocado tacos? I was in heaven!! The waitress was amazing, kept our lemonade glasses full, food was delivered hot and delicious. Their very own home made tortilla chips, are the very best. I enjoyed every bite! If you want a laid back atmosphere, great food and the best of the best, servers, chefs and wait staff, you will find it all here!!“
“I had the steak fajitas and they were wonderful! I loved the flavor and the proportions were a nice size. The drinks weren't bad either. I had the Prickly Pear margarita. It was a wonderful balance between sweet and sour.Parking: They have a spacious parking lot. Plenty of parking!Wheelchair accessibility: And they have spots for wheelchair accessibility.“
“I mentioned to the waiter that I could only understand about half of what was on the menu since I don't speak Spanish. He laughed but made no effort to explain. So I ordered tamales, Wow! The pork tamales were fabulous! The masa was tender and fluffy around tender chunks of roasted pork! Yummy! We also highly recommend the cheese dip with plablanos. My husband thought the Corner Burrito was good. When the waiter brought our food, he also gave us a red and a green table sauce. He made no comment about it. His little joke, I think. I won't ruin for you!“
“Wow!! We've been to the other location in KC and liked it but this location was excellent today. We tried to come here a few weeks ago with friends but they were closed for remodeling. So thought we'd try again today for a late Saturday lunch. Obviously they had just finished a lunch rush. The interior is nice with plenty of large booths. Less typical Mexican decor and more casual dining feel. Got chips and salsa and not my favorite. A little thin and too hot. Got some queso and chips appetizer. Yes!! Excellent cheese texture and taste and the large half tortilla chips were fabulous!! I got the puffy tacos with pork and a side of guac. Delicious guac. My wife got a chim... Huge!! Delicious refried beans... Had some substance to them. My tacos were large and generously filled with wonderful roast pork that was moist and tender. I used the salsa as a taco sauce and it paired perfectly. Things were going nicely so we also got the sopillas with cinnamon sugar, honey, and cream. Yes!! The cream tasted homemade but it is a spray can. The texture was thin but I have to tell you these are some of the best we've found in the KC metro. I'd probably come back just to stuff myself with these. How is it we've never heard rave recommendations to come here?? I really want to come back to try the pork chili. If they serve it with some more of those half fried corn tortillas or some fried flour tortillas... I might go crazy. Right now this place ranks in my top 3 Mexican restaurants in the Metro.“
“I was here on a Valentine’s Date with my girlfriend and everything was amazing from start to finish! My girlfriend is vegetarian and she was please with the options! I loved my own food, and would definitely come back! Kayla was our server and always made sure we were doing okay and was on top of our service! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!“
“It was Friday night before Christmas...place was packed. A short wait of about 5 minutes. Our waiter was prompt and took care of us efficiently. Once we ordered, food came out super quick and perfectly cooked, hot and fresh. I had the California burrito. If you know, then you know... It hit the spot. I definitely recommend.“
“Hands down to the Menudo. The food it’s so homemade style. It was our first time and will definitely comeback! The older lady in the kitchen has an excellent hand on cooking! The bad thing is that she definitely needs a better helper in the kitchen because the lady is not much of a help and the friendly faces don’t except it not even from the servers! But will comeback just because of the older lady in the kitchen her gorditas and menudo are delicious. But just a small tip if the lady in the kitchen helps a little more home made tortillas will be a home run. But other than that food it’s Boom ? paid $36 for 4 dishes / 3 Drinks!“
“Eewww! I just seen a Hispanic older bigger guy, grey hair, Monday @830!! Freaking blow his nose and continue to serve a table!! That is disgusting! Food, was just ok, as I had to send my queso back because it wasn't hot and it had burn chunks in it! The service was great! She took fault for a kitchen mistake which I would never do! No manager check. I've only been here 2 times the past year, and there are better options than good ol Jose peppers, I used to come too when I was a preteen! Thought about happy hour, still better options!“
“I arrived just an hour before closing and received prompt service. The waitress was friendly. The Carne Asada had a decent portion size, and the steak was tender and tasty. The Pollo Cheese Dip was smaller, but it was also not bad. The lively atmosphere added to the overall ambiance.“
“The torta I had was really good. I don’t think I’ve had better in the city. Came here after a soccer game as recommended and we all very much liked it. The fruit cocktails were yummy. Very fresh. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“I have only eaten at Taco Via a few times in the last 20 years. It's run by a nice Christian family. Always clean, and the food has been a little better than I expected each time I've eaten there. It looks like they've never redone it inside since they've owned it. It's always nice and clean, but it looks like something out of the 80s. Waaayyy better than Taco Bell, though, in my opinion.“
“My second time in this place, the atmosphere is familiar and the waitress is very friendly, the Mexican food is very good and what I ordered this time was the carnitas dinner and of course I couldn't miss a michelada to celebrate my birthday. I recommend the place and the food.English: My second time in this place, the atmosphere is familiar and the waiters are very friendly, the Mexican food is very good and what I ordered this time was the carnitas dinner and of course I couldn't miss a michelada to celebrate my birthday.
