“As far as food quality, I think this may be the top Panera / Bread Co in the area. The last few visits it has been good and the staff have been on top of things. They seem to have given up on pagers and you'll have to ask for your drink cup at the counter, they don't put any out. Yeah, it's spendy for what you get, but so many places are these days.“

“This place is a definite must try! It’s billed as Latin/Asian fusion and the menu is so eclectic. I had the Ropa Vieja Beef Bowl and added an egg. I cannot say enough good things about this meal. It was amazing-so many flavors, so delicious. Me and my friend also split the funky monkey fries. Do not pass these up-they are incredible. Although this was my first time here, I will definitely be back. There was too much on the menu that I want to try.“

“Somehow I forgot to review SSC when I ate here a few months ago, which is weird because I tell everyone how great it was.The ambiance here is very nice and the service is fantastic. But of course the food is the driving force here. The beef tartare was an awesome and unique appetizer that you'll only see at a high end place. The broccoli salad was excellent and presented beautifully. The duck was by far the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked on the inside with an amazing crunch and sauce on the outside. The chicken and pasta were also both great.I keep a list of restaurants in St Louis to try, from burger places to high end establishments. Sidney Street Cafe will remain at the top of that list and I'll be back for sure.“

“BEST VALUE for your money. They are a little bit short staffed, and, can be a bit of a wait. However, once you get the food, it's hot and DELICIOUS authentic Asian food. If you don't like the wait, you may order on the phone.I love it here , Vicky the owner is the best, and, so is the food in this small restaurant. Also, the bathroom is the back since it's an old Taco Bell store. Everything else is EXCELLENT.“

“I’ve gone here a handful of times now, and every time I’m glad I did.It’s a quiet restaurant in an unassuming location, and a great place to visit with loved ones. Good layout, but in my experience their focus is on the food. I get salmon sushi, the cuts are fantastic. Whether you dine in or take out, the food comes pretty quickly too. Every time I’ve been there I see incredibly hardworking staff, and they’re very nice.“

“The food was great. We have been there many times and as always the food never fails. Our waitress was very attentive and extremely bubbly. The check-in process on the other hand was horrible. We called ahead to let them know we were on our way, clicked on the link they sent us when we arrived, also in person at the desk. The website said we were in position 1 for over a half hour as we watched group after group(varying sizes) go in before us. Even spoke with another family who was getting frustrated as they were in position 2 and also watched group after group go in. They finally went in after the grandfather and I started to get vocal about how it wasn't making sense as to why we were still waiting. We finally were seated about five minutes after them but not before a party of 2 that was there after us was seated. I'm not sure what happened but I was not happy with how it was handled.“

“Today was my first time going here and everything was top tier and magnificent the food was fresh the lemonade was amazing the chili was great I got two cheeseburgers egg rolls and four Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and they were so hot and delicious I would highly recommend this place the service was so wonderful the guy at the front that took my order and made the food was also wonderful I hope he's there for many more years“

“Their food is not only delicious, but you can tell theyve put a lot of effort in preperation and cleanliness.Me and my significant other were running errands and decided to stop by and give them a shot after seeing their ad we got in the mail.We both really enjoyed their food. their crab rangoons are home made and more on the savory side as opposed to sweet. 5/5!“

“We went to pick up and sandwich for lunch on the lawn near the Gateway Arch. Two 12” specialty subs (prime rib and BBQ), a pickle and potato salad cost $38. The service was good. The restaurant was clean. The fillings for the subs were good, but the bread (wheat) was not a favorite for us. Being the bread lover that I am, this was disappointing. Did the fillings make up for it? Almost! I would definitely try it again!“

“An Oasis for a Fool like me! I was in the neighborhood for an event and discovered upon my arrival that the food plans at the venue had completely fell through so I just had to go ahead and start walking. I kept walking and walking until I found it. This was the first place that was open. It was as if the spirit of love in the universe opened around me to rescue me from starving. I can’t even get a Jimmy John’s where I am here and now I’m glad because I prefer this.“

“Very inexpensive but the reason is that the food is vegetable heavy. Food is still very good and if you're a veggie fan, probably the best place in town.I'm an out of towner but the St Paul Sandwich was good. I can't compare it to whatever the St Louis standard is though.“

“Ambiance = none I stopped in for plain white steamed rice to go. The smells are AMAZINGLY DELIGHTFUL so upon entering I was disappointed to see a large too With really no decor only tables and chairs. I did not go on a tour, nor peruse the online photos so I'm guessing that the back rooms are sexy intimate dining rooms. But that's for you to check out! Enjoy“

“Someone mentioned that the Ham Fried Rice is the best around. True. Crab Rangoon was way above average delicious as well. Delivered by what was probably the gentleman that started this family business 70 years ago or however long it's been around. Love that kind of family business. What an absolute delight!“

“We visited during the Garden Glow and purchased dinner tickets for $16/person.We ordered the Chicken Sheppard's Pie. It looked more like a stew than a Sheppard's Pie. Flavors were bountiful and with an amazing blend of chicken chunks, mushrooms, and potato chunks (what they called tater tots).Four of five stars only because menu was very limited.“

“I was working in the neighborhood and decided to stop by for a late breakfast. I decided to get a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and it was pretty good. It's nice to know that they serve breakfast all day. The service was prompt and about the only complaint I would have is that, I'm not big on hearing loud music.“

“This experience was amazing! Our twin 2 year olds loved it, including calamari. They are very picky eaters so it was great to see them try something new. Our server Lee was amazing and so very friendly especially to our kids. He was very attentive. Would definitely go back soon and ask for him if he was there at the time. The food was very delicious so I also commend the cooks as well. The atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. The hostesses were always smiling and you could tell they enjoyed their job. “Loved the atmosphere and the food. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the severs were checking out my guy that I was with. They were friendly to him but barely acknowledged me. Was funny to us but they shouldn't be doing that. Overall 4 out of 5 stars“

“I was skeptical coming here for a while. I would always frequent the Westport location before they closed so driving to Ladue was a bit out of the way and a bit upscale for some coffee and pastries but these aren’t just any pastries are they? I find myself going 5-7 miles out of the way JUST to get a bowl of oatmeal from here 2-3 days out of the week and I don’t regret it one bit. I’m going to have to learn how to perfect my own oatmeal but until then I will happily splurge on theirs (I get brown sugar, pecans, and craisins on mine) and get the occasional piece of deep dish gooey butter cake for my daughter and I to snack on all week or the soup when a flavor catches my eye.I’ve not had a bad item off the menu yet and don’t imagine I ever will. Love the new updates too.“

Staff is super friendly and if they get something wrong they'll make it right.The "value duets" are great, affordable options in an expensive sandwich world. You get a half sandwich, chips, and soup for $7 or $8. Choices are limited, but we really enjoy the BBQ chicken sandwich with tomato soup. Another good deal is bagel Tuesday, when you can get 13 bagels for $9.50, and their family value feists.Interesting fact: it's located across the street from the site if the first St. Louis Bread Company (closed when they opened this one), which was a tenant in the little shopping center. “I can't praise this Panera enough. We recently had two funerals close together, and Panera catered both celebrations of life. During one funeral, the service ran well over the scheduled time. Sarah Berg went above and beyond, not only delivering our order but also arranging the food and utensils in a beautifully displayed manner. My family was impressed, and it relieved us of the labor after a long week. All we had to do was sit down, eat, and cherish our time reminiscing about our loved ones.
