“What a fantastic meal! The Del Pietro salad and a glass of wine were the perfect starters for the meal. I ordered the cheese tortellini with mushrooms and peas, and my husband ordered the Spaghetti alla Angela. The pasta was so delicate and just melted in our mouths. The decor was a beautiful mix of traditional and contemporary with wonderful lighting—a very relaxing atmosphere. One of the best pasta meals we've enjoyed lately.“

“"From the moment I stepped into The Crossing in Clayton, I knew I was in for a remarkable dining experience. The exceptional service began with Sunny, who skillfully handled my reservation, and continued with David's warm welcome at the door. My server, Joshua, was simply outstanding, ensuring that my visit was nothing short of perfect. What truly set this experience apart was the meticulous attention to dietary restrictions for both me and my guests. It's rare to find a restaurant that genuinely cares and accommodates with such grace. The meal was unforgettable, leaving me talking about it for weeks. But the cherry on top was a chance encounter with Joseph on the sidewalk days later. His genuine follow-up about my experience showcased a level of care and knowledge that is unparalleled in the industry. The Crossing in Clayton is not just a restaurant; it's an experience where the staff goes above and beyond, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking culinary excellence and exceptional service."“

“We had a lovely evening sitting outside. Perfect weather! The tasting menu was delicious. My husband loved the scallops and I loved the chicken. Both of our salads were fantastic. I had the gnocco with prosciutto and it was amazing. Desserts were fabulous!!“

“This is the kind of restaurant that you save your 5-star reviews for. The food is insanely incredible, the staff are sweet angels, and you're treated like royalty once you step in the door. The environment is charming and welcoming while not overwhelming, with dimmed lighting and beautiful artwork. I left my phone at home when I went last night but I would have taken a picture of every dish and drink if I'd brought it. The broccolini (and the vinaigrette!) is a must-have, as well as their various breads and the prosciutto. Everyone's meal was a favorite, and the Rosa y rosie drink was divine. We greatly enjoyed our time and will definitely be back!“

“Food was YUM, service was friendly, and the space and location is so cute. In the heart of the hill, a must-go-to place for a hot or cold Italian sandwich that tastes authentic and made with love. The Grace was my fav! With Italian sausage, pepperoni, cheese and red sauce.“

“Riccardo’s on Broadway has as much atmosphere, friendly service, and great food as the old Ricardo’s. They’ve done a great job redoing this old building. Haven’t been there for dinner but do intend to try it. Their lunch menu including lunch specials was great!“

“This is a GREAT neighborhood restaurant! Great ambiance in the front room! Very good wine list; we thoroughly enjoyed the Manzone Gramolere Barolo. The food was excellent, and the portions quite large on the Chicken Marsala. One of the specials was Divers Scallops on a bed of risotto, and the scallops were perfectly done. Service after the entree could have been more attentive.“

“Wow! Great Italian / Greek restaurant on The Hill. Yes... they have both Italian and Greek food and do both very well! Be sure to get a reservation because this place is popular and we had to make a reservation 2 weeks in advance for a Saturday night. Wonderful service, and our table was ready right at the reservation time. Everyone lives their food. Try their pizza it's amazing.Parking: It's The Hill. very residential, narrow streets, but lots of street parking opportunities just may need to walk a little.“

“Amazing…so good! Perfectly cooked and everything is customizable in case you have some picky eaters. They jam a ton of toppings inside and loved the whole roasted garlic cloves.Vegetarian options: Vegan pepperoni was an easy substitute or addition.Dietary restrictions: Any of the ingredients can be removed or substituted.Kid-friendliness: Fountain lemonade and quick service.“

“I want to start by saying I LOVE GIOIA'S.... However they did something today that is totally wrong. I had placed a four sandwich order with work colleagues. My order was a roast beef sami with AU JUS... with out the AU JUS the sandwich is dry and not very desirable. It was delivered by door dash and the AU JUS was forgotten. I asked for a refund and was told that they are not able to do this as the AU JUS is complimentary. WTF is that !!! You guys are better than this and I would expect for you to make right on a mess up that YOU made. I think it will be a while before I order with my colleagues from Gioias. Its a shame because we were going there at least once a week.“

“Good looking place, but call beforehand when ordering. They are booming with customers and get a lot of orders, so if you don't order beforehand, you're looking at ~40 minute wait time. Definitely recomend it if you like thin pizza ?“

“I would put myself in debt to eat this food, It's so incredible the head chef is brilliant, and the staff from the front of the house to the back make the entire experience a joy. the wild boar and polenta is writing home about worthy, and the tirimisu makes me emotional... the pizza is literally the only pizza in st louis worth eating and I'm from Chicago so I feel like my opinion is extra valid lol. there are a ton of "fancy restaurants" in St. Louis but table cloths and wine selection don't mean crap when the menu of a reasonably priced pizza joint makes your food look like McDonald's by comparison.“

“We went there at around 7:50pm. We didn't have any reservations and the wait time was 45 mins. When we finally got our table the wait time for food was minimal. We started with freshly baked soft bread while waiting. The food was delicious. Capellini alla Zia was my favorite followed by Cannelloni. The server was very nice and attentive. The ambience was nice but too loud, lol ?I suggest book a reservation if you want to avoid long waiting time.“

“Had their pizza for the first time, and it was worth the hype. The Chicken Delight pizza is so good! It is probably my favorite thin crust pizza I’ve had. I also loved the wing sauce! All of the workers and owner, John, were incredible. They got our pizza out quickly (even though it was busy). We will definitely be back!“

“The food was very good - flavorful and just the right amount of filling to bread ratio. Service was so friendly and they had patience with us as first time customers. Sitting outside was not an issue except wish there were umbrellas - sun was reflecting off the foil inside box so made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. But would definitely go back - great job and highly recommended!“

“The staff at Failoni's were amazing we came in with a large group of 25 and not only were they able to accommodate us but they also provided expert service. On a busy day at the restaraunt they got all of our orders out together and very quickly... the restaurant had a great Midwest vibe with friendly people and would highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing Italian food.Parking: Plenty of parking along the street on both sides“

“Comfy, intimate spot for a quality meal. Sat at the bar for a light dinner. Arrived in time for happy hour and ordered a mocktail, plus some small dishes off main menu. They do offer gluten free pasta and pizza, which will try next time! Today, I tried their green bean whipped ricotta dish with bits of bacon (yum!) and an order of arrancinis. Both were delicious, and I look forward especially having the green beans again. The service was outstanding at the bar. Friendly, engaging wait staff. The food, nice cozy interior and staff will keep me coming back. Great small space with our Webster neighborhood vibe and also offers a small outdoor space for dining. Well done yet again!“

“I could go on and on about how great the food is, but what really sets them apart is the service. Every person that I've run into appears to genuinely like working there. Just makes for an overall enjoyable experience and obvious that the owners treat them well. And the patrons benefit from that. So happy to have them in the neighborhood.“

“This was a night out with my brothers and friends. We enjoyed the atmosphere. The drinks were okay. The bloody mary was simple, not much zing to the taste. It was kind of bland. Our server was polite and friendly. We were treated to vocals from retired football tight end Jackie Smith. He sounded great that night. A nice place for dinner or just cocktails after donner.“

“Have been going here for years but last night's service and food was beyond any experience we have ever had. I commented on their Facebook post about a dessert and how awesome it would be to try the next night when we were there. They set one aside and put it with our reservation! That is about the highest level of service I have ever experienced at any restaurant. Jamie is an amazing host and I will make sure to request his section every time we make a reservation. He has been our host the last couple times and just goes above and beyond for all his guests. Cannot say enough great things about every experience we have had here.“

“Great food!! I ordered the lunch buster 1/2 sandwich 1/2 house salad. For the sandwich I got #22. My fiancé ordered the #30. Both sandwiches were bursting with flavor! The house salad was perfect. The Italian dressing was not to overwhelming or underwhelming. The roast beef on the #22 was great. The sausage on the #30 was so good we bought some to take home with us. I got giardiniera peppers on the side and they were very fresh. You can taste the care put into your meal. I would recommend to anybody. I will definitely revisit when in the area!UPDATE!!!!!!!!!I made homemade red sauce and penne with the Saliccia sausage we bought!! OMG!! Entire house rated 10/10!“

“Love these subs, as a rule. Kinda spendy, but usually yummy. Today one of our subs had a huge, way too thick slice of salami on it. Thanks for the extra, but way over the top for meat this time. Just do it right and it will be great! Don’t over-do or under-do.“

“Picked up 3 pizzas for dinner here tonight (pepperoni, bacon, sausage). They even went out of their way to make sure there was no egg in the crust, even calling the distributor to make sure, because my daughter has a severe egg allergy. “I just tried this place and I was overall satisfied, but there are some pros and cons. I got the roast beef sandwich, pasta salad and potatoes with a side of their cheese sauce. The sandwich...very good. They forgot my aujus sauce, but I didn't care. It was absolutely delish! The pasta salad...great flavor. Ate that up first thing. Now the potatoes...meh. They looked wonderful, but they smelled just awful from the cheese they coat it with. They were just meh. I didn't eat a majority of it.The cheese sauce...also meh. Not much flavor. Didn't add anything to anything. I didn't eat that hardly either. The service....TOP NOTCH. The guy cooking was very friendly and made my order so quickly, plus, he kept that kitchen CLEAN AND TIDY, which is very hard to come by in the STL.In all...it is a small, simple joint, but I enjoyed this place and will be back to try many more sandwiches!“

“The food here is great! I love the bread they use on their sandwiches. If I'm catering to a larger group I usually preorder their classic subs 16" to go. But if I'm eating there at lunch with just myself or a friend I always get their cheese pizza bread! It is the best! There are no other comparisons. Also their garlic bread is a hit!“

“Tried this restaurant yesterday. Had a reservation for Valentine’s Day. The food was really good and the waiter was nice. The restaurant wasn’t really crowded when we got there and we still had to wait. “We were traveling and after a fun day at City Museum, my kiddos wanted some noodles and pizza. Reading the reviews, this looked like just the place for us and let me tell you it did not disappoint. This small family owned restaurant is a hidden gem. The cook came out and talked to us several times, even talking with the kiddos. My son was sad when he found out they were out of the cheesecake ravioli's (they come 3 to an order). But we tried the the chocolate ones and they were fantastic. As we were walking out to our car, the cook came out with the last ravioli cheesecake drizzled with caramel!! My son was over the moon and enjoyed every bite! Thank you for going above and beyond!! Will definitely come here again when we are in town and recommend it to anyone wanting some good itialian food!!“

“Special-ordered filet with shrimp, grilled to perfection and topped with a whole-roasted garlic cream sauce. Best carbonara I've ever had. Delicious fried escarole to start, delectable cassata cake to finish. Brought two kids and the servers treated them like royalty. This story is dime-a-dozen among Frank Papa's patrons. Brentwood's best-kept secret. Order the Carpini! Or the "eviction notice" pasta. Those chocolate martinis, and that chocolate ravioli. I could go on and on about this legendary restaurant. I could write a book about how working there changed my life. And tonight, I tell you now as a diner, the train is on the tracks and full speed ahead with Frank's more-than-capable nephew Rob at the controls. The food is still incredible, the service warm and welcoming, the atmosphere...home.If you have never been to Frank Papa's, I implore you: go. If you haven't been in a while: return. “Holy cow, this place was awesome. I went with a group of 7 for lunch today. It was slammed with customers but they still got our orders taken and food to us in good time.
