We went for the food and it did not disappoint. You got to have the tater kegs! Our service was slow. App came out with the meal and we waited at least 25 minutes for that. Waitress was not very friendly, although other customers were very friendly!
Nice place. Enjoyed sitting on the deck. They had staffing issues possibly due to the eclipse since it was busy but not packed, and so it took a bit too long to be waited on, but our server was great anyways. I hope they can hire more like her.The queso was pretty good though the chips seemed stale/had no crunch. My country fried steak was more breading than steak and dry, broccoli overcooked, and mashed potatoes tasted off, maybe instant? Lava cake was fine, probably microwaved...read full review

This place has a unique charm. It reminded me of some Northwoods Wisconsin places we have been to which we weren't expecting in Missouri. Everyone was super friendly and the portion size for the pork cutlet sandwich was surprisingly generous. Save some room for dessert if you like bread pudding. My son starts at Missouri S&T in the fall and I am sure we will be back then.
