“Went for lunch and had no regrets. Both the food and service were top notch!! We were fortunate to grab the last open table during our visit so due to the limited inside seating here be prepared to wait for a table or just carry-out but don't let this stop you from at least trying this place!“

“This place is great value for your dollar. It's my husband's favorite gyro. The portion sizes are incredible and everything tastes great. Sometimes certain soda flavors are out in the machine but everyone is nice when you point it out. You can tell the owners care.“

“I want to start by saying I LOVE GIOIA'S.... However they did something today that is totally wrong. I had placed a four sandwich order with work colleagues. My order was a roast beef sami with AU JUS... with out the AU JUS the sandwich is dry and not very desirable. It was delivered by door dash and the AU JUS was forgotten. I asked for a refund and was told that they are not able to do this as the AU JUS is complimentary. WTF is that !!! You guys are better than this and I would expect for you to make right on a mess up that YOU made. I think it will be a while before I order with my colleagues from Gioias. Its a shame because we were going there at least once a week.“

It has good food, very pleasant staff and a good overall atmosphere. Plus you can take fresh items home and they have other products besides sandwiches. “First time here and there was one guy working but he was so fast, not to mention we came around 10am and there was a man ahead of us with a huge order. Food was hot and fresh and really filling. Only thing I didn't love was the German potato salad. Tasted like it had Italian dressing on it. Very generous with the meat on both sandwiches and the pastrami was the delicious kind with a little bit of fat. Perfect.“

“Service was so friendly and efficient! You order and pay at the cashier and then someone brings your food to the table. The ambiance was fine. It's basically a wine shop with a row of tables. Great for a casual lunch. There is a display of sardine cans and such above the kitchen -- very cute! I had the prosciutto sandwich. It was delicious!“

“I tried the blackened Mahi tacos, and they did not disappoint. I'm usually not a huge fan of mangoes on my tacos, but this actually worked. The chips and guacamole were adequate enough. The service was great, Thank You Christine!!! I was told the burger was a good bar burger (who doesn't love bar food) and the grilled chicken sandwich was also very good. The had a ton of sports memorabilia, and TVs visible from any angle, playing a variety of different events. My only complaint, and it's no fault of the restaurant, is parking sucked. “We had been at the hospital all morning and was starving! We aren't from STL, so walked around the area trying to find somewhere to have lunch! We found Pickles Deli and it was the best choice we could have made! My mother and I had a Philly cheese steak, my husband had a gyro, and my dad had a ham sandwich that was stacked with a like a lb of ham! My Philly cheese steak was the best I've ever had and I've tried them all over the U.S! We will definitely be returning customers! Thank you all at Pickles Deli for making what was a hard day at the hospital, a better day with great food!“
