“Went to eat with my two toddlers while visiting my father in the area. The service was great, food delicious and the staff was amazing. My 2 year old was throwing a tantrum on the way out about this small toy zebra she saw on one of their displays and their manager followed us outside and gave her the little zebra! She was so happy, it made her day! Everyone was so great and we will definitely be back next time we are in town!“
“This entrance is deceiving, as it is in a home, and you actually enter through Olio. It is truly a unique space unlike any other though. Transported to the inside of someone's living room, it has a cozy feel that doesn't seem overly pretentious or boisterous. It feels like a quiet evening at home, amongst friendly acquaintances. The food was delicious and plated beautifully. However, the lighting made snapping a decent photo nearly impossible it was a lesson in accepting limitations and enjoying things in the present. Loved the Thai smoked scallops, fancy butter and divine breads, the crepe lasagna dish, and the desserts. The price seems a bit high but still reasonable for the quality of food and service delivered. Definitely a worthy experience.“
“I have dined at the Preston before and found it to be a great experience. The food is still very good but the space is looking tired. The paint on our table was very chipped and the decor for Christmas was disappointing. The server was friendly but not very efficient.“
“This is a VERY nice restaurant in Clayton. I didn't realize it was fine dining and showed up in a hoodie and jeans. At first, I was concerned that I would be turned away or treated differently because of my attire, but that wasn't the case. We ( my son and I) were led to a booth and ordered drinks. My son ordered a burger, which looked delicious. He confirmed that it was. I ordered the lobster bisque, and it was to die for!! Velvety smooth and full of chunks of lobster! Honestly, the BEST lobster bisque I've ever had! For dessert, we had cheesecake, and again, it was divine!The atmosphere is beautiful!! You are immediately filled with a sense of calm. Its the kind of place you would take someone for a very special occasion...like a marriage proposal. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient. We were well taken care of and will definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: It is NOT a place for small children.“
“Celebrated our daughter’s birthday at Fleming’s tonight. Ordered a medium rare ribeye and it came out medium. They were very apologetic and got us a medium rare one promptly. Excellent food, service, and management. Much better and smarter than J. Gilbert’s who got us a bad steak and wouldn’t apologize if or replace it. They just shrugged. Looking forward to our next visit at Fleming’s despite the rather pricey price tag. At least you get what you pay for there!“
