“Great date spot patio - wonderful outdoor atmosphere. Super attentive waitstaff (great attention, recommendations, and personality). Cool cocktails and some really good beers available. The food was outstanding! The menu was basically laid out in order of smallest to biggest plates; the snacks were very much snack-sized, the small plates were still plenty enough to share, and the entrees were generous. Very creative and fun cuisine. The white anchovies that we requested on the side of our (outstandingly fresh and summery) tomato salad were the absolute best anchovies I have ever had - if you like anchovies and they have "white anchovies" on the menu, order! (Our waitress was nice enough to check in the restaurant pantry to find out the brand for me, which was very appreciated.) Though we were stuffed, we had dessert and the chocolate cake we ordered was decadent and a wonderful end to a fun and romantic meal. Totally recommend Little Fox, especially for a spontaneous date night out, whether you want to graze and sip cocktails or get a full dinner.”

“Visited yesterday and omg the food was delicious. I had the brisket which the cook said is new to the menu. It wasn’t dry at all. It was tender and i like they put the sauce on the side instead of drench the meat with it. My sister had the salmon croquettes and they were good too. I’ll be back but remember to make reservations for brunch or u might not be able to try it due to the crowd. The staff were nice and the place was clean. Oh and the flight of mimosa had us still talking after eating.”

I came as a final goodbye tonight and it was so bittersweet! I can't believe this place isn't rated higher on Google. Absurd. The food has layers of flavor, is interesting, fresh, and always so well done. Dishes are clearly so well thought out, with visual, textural, and flavorful elements that just scratch an itch in your brain. The quality of the sashimi is superior. I sometimes forget we're in Saint Louis because man, that is some good fish. The service also never misses, with knowledgable staff and perfect coursing of dishes. The food is the best part though. The Cuban honestly did not impress me visually, but when I took a bite... oh my! The pork butt was soo good. My mom had the famous Picadilly fish. She wanted to try the Mayfair salad, but didn't want the whole salad so they made her a side salad with Mayfair dressing. They make this dressing in house and its amazing. I had a cup of Gumbo with my sandwich and it was soo good. I forgot to get a picture of it, but I have to believe it was homemade. I will definitely come back. You should come try it too.”

“MUST VISIT IN STL! Coming from NYC, this is hands down one of the best spots I’ve been to lately from the drinks, food, service, and all around vibes. They put an incredible amount of detail into everything and it shows. The craft cocktails are innovative, yet approachable, and extremely well-balanced. They also carry a unique variety of spirits on the menu that you can’t find anywhere else. One drink I especially loved and recommend is the Budgy Smuggler made with their housemade clarified milk. You can also order off the entire Yellowbelly food menu (sister restaurant next door) and every dish we tried was amazing. Get the raw and hot fried oysters, beef fat fries, lump crab fritters, elote taquitos, brussels, charred carrots, pork belly, green curry salmon, and grilled hangar steak. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were so unique. This should be a must stop if you’re in STL and also a great event space. I can’t wait to go back!”

The guava lamp drink was quite interesting looking, and it had decent taste. It was somewhat unique so only get if you’re ready to try some new flavor combos. It was very strong too.SERVICE: QR code menu was easy to access, and our server was attentive, often asking if we needed drink refills.AMBIANCE: The decor and layout works well, it’s a more modern look with lots of pretty lights and a bar. I took my sister to treat her to some boba, we got the order and not even 5 sips into the cup, AS we walked the small distance between the store and my parked car, it ran out and all that remained was ice. It is even more disappointing considering it was a children’s cup. The same happened with mine, and mine was a much larger cup. Quite literally, 75-80% of the cups were ice cubes. It feels like a waste of money when things like this occur and demotivates us from going here again, as it has happened multiple times now even with light ice requests.”

2900 Missouri Ave, St. Louis

“So happy we finally tried Yemanja! Waitress informed us we picked the perfect weekend to come because it's the last weekend Yemanja will be open in its current form. According to her, the owners are closing the restaurant for approximately one month and reopening as a Brazilian bar and grill with a different menu. I'm sure some regulars won't be happy about the change but I'm excited to try the new version of the restaurant next month. When we arrived we were asked if we had a reservation (we did not) this caught us by surprise because the website doesn't mention reservations. It wasn't an issue and we were seated immediately. The restaurant decor is festive and a bit eclectic. We ordered the National Drink of Brazil and it was very strong but great. I loved it. The heart of palm empanadas for the appetizer were recommended by our waitress and I'm glad we ordered them. I don't think I've ever had an empanada, they were very good. The options for vegetarians are limited but the only entree I could eat was really good and filling; I couldn't finish it. Yucca fries, black beans with rice and greens. The greens were my favorite. Entrees came either soup or salad. We both chose the salad and it was a nice salad. The house bread was okay, it came the seasoned butter. My boyfriend ordered one of the seafood entrees with shrimp. He loved it. Cleaned his plate. We will return for the new version of Yemanja. Hopefully there will be more vegetarian options.”

“Our first time here and it was great! Our server Genesis was sweet, bubbly, and attentive. The food was fantastic! Had burrata salad (off menu special), the Tiger rolls, and brisket dipper. Other than the au jus being a little too salty (which is prob normal, I don’t like things that are too salty) would eat it all again it was so good! And the servings are huge, we have enough leftovers for two more meals. The cocktails were also terrific- it’s hard to find a Vieux Carré outside the French Quarter but they make a good one! Sazarac was also delicious. Will be recommending this place to others and will definitely be back!”

“This place was great. I am sad i didn't grab pictures. We seldom find someplace that everyone liked their food. And it was a bit pricy, but i dont think it wasn't a good value quality for the dollar. For example, the side of fruit is $4. It had blackberries, blue berries, straw berries, grapes, pineapple, and cantaloupe, and was a significant size. I doubt you could get that much fruit from a grocery store for $4. They were not shy with their bacon on the breakfast sandwich. The siracha was home-madede and fantastic. The coffee is debuque, a local premium brand, very good and again a bargain compared to say starbucks. The breakfast butters were unique, and we were split between our group on which was best (obviously the bacon maple was best). The biscuits were exactly what you wanted when you ordered a biscuit from some place, fresh, homemade, and filling. They dont have a kids meal, but a $4 side of pancakes was too much for my growing 5 year old to finish. While it is too expensive for a regular breakfast spot, it is one of the top brunches in st.louis, no doubt.Kid-friendliness: Not specifically kid friendly, but kids will enjoy their food.”

“We stayed at the Cheshire hotel and were fortunate to have Basso on the premises! We met a friend here the first night of our stay. The restaurant is in the basement. The atmosphere was inviting with gas lit wall lights, a center bar with booths and high tops. Autumn was a wonderful server. She was so pleasant and informative. We really enjoyed having her as our server. Happy hour is from 4 to 6. We tried the fried meatballs, which were great. The lemon ravioli and the shrimp pasta dish were both delicious. Prices were reasonable. When you dine, the food taste and quality are top priority, but when the food is phenomenal and the service and atmosphere are just as good, it makes the experience memorable. We ended up returning on our second night! Julie was our server and we really enjoyed her, too. She was helpful and interested in our satisfaction! We tried the Brussel sprouts, an heirloom salad with delicious bread. Our entrees were the butcher steak and the burger. The steak was wood fired and super tender! The burger was delicious. The fries and shishito peppers were very good. We highly recommend this hidden gem and thank Autumn and Julie for making our stay in St. Louis so memorable! Oh, try the Secret Door specialty drink, a next level Old Fashioned”
