“Was in the mood for tuna bowl or some sort of bowl that was healthy and we happened to be down the street the Honey Bee when this place came up and saw that I had 37 minutes to get there and get my bowl lol. This place is hidden in a corner and can't see it so you have to know where to look....I passed it once ‍But we walked in on a Saturday afternoon at 1:30. My daughter and I were planning on ordering and taking it to go since they close at 2. But, the lady(assuming owner) was inviting, didn't seemed bothered that we came in right before closing so we ordered our food to dine in.Daughter got their squid fried sticks and chicken tenders (she's 9 don't judge lol). She liked both of them and said were very good. I did try a bit of her chicken tenders and chicken was fresh not dried....wasn't expecting much for tendies but was impressed. I of course got the beef bulgogi with the egg on top. It was so good and extremely filling! We even ordered the chicken tenders at 1:47 at our food and was out by 2! I also over heard the lady literally taking a to go order with 5 minutes before closing. I love how accommodating and kind she was. The kinda service that makes me def want to come back and want to dry their other stuff. Def recommend giving it a try. It's nothing fancy.....food is served on to go containers, paper plates, plastic cups, etc. the chairs weigh a ton lol. But the food and service is top notch“

We thought about Top Sushi since we passed by it all the time and never went and said, "Let's try it out."We were stunned by how delicious it was! We got 3 rolls and some spring rolls. Highly recommend the Crab Rangoon Roll! The gentleman who greeted us was very welcoming and couldn't have been nicer. The inside was very quaint and cozy. “July 2023 update - My friend and I came back a couple times and the food has improved. Will be back again, increasing to four stars.Original review: My boyfriend and I have heard so many great reviews about Nudo House so we decided to try it! The ambiance was great - very modern and inviting; the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I asked what their suggestion would be and they said you can't go wrong with the classic Nudo or the Bahn Mi so we ordered both, but sadly it was very underwhelming. The flavor wasn't rich or flavorful like we expected, and the noodles tasted like instant ramen, kinda rubbery and very bland. Maybe it was just an off day for them but it was highly disappointing, especially after reading all the amazing reviews!Their Mai Lee restaurant, however, is incredible.“

“Had dinner this evening at Sen Thai. Sat at the bar. Bartender was friendly but didn't really ask me typical usually questions when ordering Thai food. I had the Tom yum soup, a crispy salmon hand roll ( as they have sushi as well) and crying tiger beef. I love my Thai food very spicy. With that I wasn't ever asked my spice level. My soup was good. The crying tiger salad was really good just wish it was spicier. I asked for Thai chilies in fish sauce to help bring more heat to it. Over all good food. Not super authentic but good. Would come back for sure.“

In total, there is not only more than standard Japanese fare, but it is also delicious, high quality, and beautifully presented. Many different sakes, mixed drinks, and Japanese beers along with international Gin, bourbon, tequila, rum options. They even have Japanese soda pop. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely decor with exquisite hand painted scenes. I had been there once before and couldn’t wait to go back for seconds to show my adult son who also, this day enjoyed his food immensely.“

“Good food for a reasonable price. Had dinner here on a Friday night. It was quite busy and seemed to be a bit understaffed but they were attentive. The main reason the service is four stars rather than five is because the wrong food was delivered to our table, and the person who dropped it off did not know what it was so we couldn’t verify whether it was ours or not until a server walked past several minutes later.“

Our waitress was a literal angel on this earth. The food was INCREDIBLE!!! Sushi is some of the best I’ve ever had — such freshness and so high quality. “In my opinion, Sushi AI makes some of the best Japanese food in STL. And while I enjoyed eating there in-person, I've mostly ordered online, but I've been very impressed with that alone. They get your order ready super fast, but don't get it twisted, they still don't sacrifice quality! They also have the best packaging compared to other Japanese places. Most places usually put it in a styrofoam takeout box, but Sushi AI uses a plastic container that actually seals, meaning the sauce doesn't splash all over the place!!! I've noticed that there's a lot of Japanese places in STL that are inconsistent with the quality of their food, particularly their chicken teriyaki. Sushi AI ALWAYS has amazing chicken teriyaki, and the presentation in-person is beautiful. Everybody I've introduced to this restaurant LOVES it. The service is amazing, they seat you very fast and they're just generally very kind and upbeat. The waitress was very friendly and ended up convincing my dad to try a sake bomb since he'd never heard of one. She showed us how to do it and the entire table ended up having a blast!“

“I have been here 2x, once for dine in and once for carry out and have had great experiences both times. The menu in the cwe is different from the chesterfield menu, and everything I have tried so far has been good. The 1st time, I tried the shrimp udon. It was delicious and the shrimp were huge. The 2nd time I do the spicy chicken wings, and even though the wings were small, they were very flavorful. Fries were just okay, but everything else was delicious! Service has been quick both times and they did a great job of packaging everything up when I did take out. Staff seem friendly . It's a decent space, and they have a large tv on. Cute decor overall. Per usual parking in the cwe is not my favorite, but I will def come back and try more!“

“We love supporting small local business. I realized I haven't written about Ichiban- my favorite sushi restaurant in St. Louis. We have been customers here for about 5 years or so. We came here at least once a week. We usually ordered to go during the weekdays and dined in on the weekends. The owners treat and talk to us like family. Our go to orders are hamachi sashimi, spicy crazy roll, hamachi Kama (yellowtail collar), spider rolls and eel avocado rolls. Last night, I was in a mood for grilled fish so I ordered saba shioyaki combo. It came with ginger house salad, and miso soup. I absolutely loved the ginger dressing here - the owner made it herself. The restaurant is quite spacious, and clean. Highly recommend.“

If you're more of a people watcher or on a date, you can sit back in a booth and still enjoy the good food in a little bit more of an intimate setting. If you have a birthday they come out and play a little tune for you.. it's pretty funny. The cheese wontons are a great starter and you can order what you would get from the Teppanyaki Grill brought straight to your table. Everything here is solid. Wait staff is usually cool and right on time. They work together well as far as expediting. Not the cleanest restaurant but they get really busy so I its understandable.“
