Anvil Restaurant & Saloon in downtown Ste. Genevieve offers delicious meals like onion rings, salads, bacon cheeseburgers, and desserts. The staff is accommodating and great, especially if you mention you are military. The historic building may feel a bit confining, but the food and service make up for it. The Sunday breakfast, especially the country fried steak platter, is amazing and pairs well with a southern smoked bloody Mary. Overall, a good experience with a 5-star chef.
