6 Best Salad Restaurants near Brandon

Pancho’s Cantina & Grill Mexican • $
155 W Government St, Brandon

“I noticed this restaurant maybe a week or so before it opened, and I had told myself that I'd give it a try!Whether you're simply looking in through the large, open windows that serve as the restaurant's front-facing wall, or you take your first step into the building, you'll very quickly notice that it is very lively inside--maybe a bit too lively for some. At 6PM on a Sunday evening, It was very, very noisy in the building, as the walls seemed to echo and amplify over a hundred dining customers' voices.Despite the crowd, I am quickly seated, asked for my drink, and provided with chips and salsa. The chips are about average, though there were some in my basket that were a bit on the over/undercooked side. The salsa is pretty good, in my opinion, though I've certainly had better.I ordered three Mexican tacos, asada (steak), chorizo, and pastor (grilled pork with pineapple), wrapped in a corn tortilla with onions and Cilantro, served on a narrow, wooden block that was sized for the tacos, though I would have preferred a plate. The Cilantro didn't quite taste fresh, but the taco was very good, especially the Pastor and Chorizo! The green salsa they serve with it is good, and the spicy, darker red sauce had a nice kick. That said, I think the three Mexican tacos are a little overpriced. You can order any one of those tacos a la carte for $4 each, but 3 tacos would be $15. I would have appreciated a fourth taco at that price point, and you could probably get two tacos and some side for nearly $15 and have more food. I think they should adjust the "3 for $X" pricing if they want to sell these more frequently.Customer service was good. You can definitely see in their faces that they're working very hard to serve their customers, so be sure to tip them well!Overall, I enjoyed the restaurant and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind eating in a very noisy environment. Next time, I will order the burrito texaco!“

“Called to purchase a sack of live crawfish, with no notice, the day before the super bowl. They happily fulfilled my request. Out of all of my years buying crawfish I have never had a sack that only had 2 dead in the sack. That's right 2. Definitely very fresh. Great place. Great people. Thank y'all so much for helping me with no notice.“

“Take out on our way through the state. This was our first visit to a Newk’s and we will definitely visit others. We had a Cobb salad and an ultimate salad. These are big salads with a lot of items on them! Sometimes you get toward the bottom of a big salad and it’s just lettuce. But these had the “good stuff” mixed all through, and plenty of it. The dressing was mixed in and we thought it was the perfect amount. Well done!“

“First time at Sunset Grill tonight and it was just what I needed! Fun place for a date night or with friends. My husband got the Ribeye with a baked potato and asparagus. He said the ribeye rivals Tico’s! it was great. I tried the pork belly tacos and loved it. Only thing I would do different is order more of that tangy sauce on the side. It was DELISH. Our server, Bobbie recommended the chargrilled oysters for an appetizer and I’m so glad she did. They were some of the best in town. Can’t wait to come back and hopefully have Bobbie as our waitress again!“
