I'm new to Jackson I've been looking for a home cooked meal. I work at Walmart and the owner comes in there all the time so I decided to give his place a try and I must say IT'S A 10 star for me. I will most definitely be going back. I had the smothered bake chicken dinner with sweet peas rice and corn bread. It was delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming friendly server and she's very patient for the long line they have and they get you in and out.
Lunch today was at a new spot for me. After watching the Soul Food documentary on Hulu, I decided to try Maxine's Old Country Kitchen. The staff working the line was so sweet and patient as I tried to make a decision. There were so many good looking sides that I went with a veggie plate and added one smoked wing.
