“I cannot say enough great things about Bruce and his wife’s efforts and care in their establishment. Elevated cuisine, creative menu options, great insight into their sourcing of ingredients and efforts in preparation. I hope to visit Tavern 287 two-hundred eighty-seven more times and I live clear across the country. If you are vegan or vegetarian call ahead and Bruce and the chef can suggest options. Love this place! Keep up the amazing work. PS- Peep the dessert and order entrees accordingly. They’re amazing.”

“The best service in town! Every single sandwich I've tried has been so delicious. Great selection of teas and the fresh iced tea is just the best. Big soft cookies to go with your sandwich, chips, and pickle. I have nothing negative to say about this shop and Kalena herself. Go check it out.”

“Hubby, kiddo and I stopped by for lunch on Friday and received excellent service by the super friendly barista working solo. She went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and had a wonderfully genuine smile to match her “no problem!” attitude. I was very impressed with her poise while holding down the fort all on her own. Thank you for the lovely lunch!”

“my 9yr, 4yr, and 1yr, grandkids and me absolutely loved the food! fresh, clean tasting, and the service was so kind and patient, especially dealing with kids!! they asked another of questions, wanted a bit of variation (no onion) but the crew was lovely. Definitely a go-to for good lunch food.”

“Good beers (especially liked the marga wheata). Pizza was good, but per some other reviews, the top was a bit overly-crispy. Crust was actually a bit soggy, so not sure what they’re going for. When mentioned to the wait staff, we were advised that “that’s the way we do it…crispy. It looks good to me.” In actuality, the meat on the top was blackened. They might want to re-think this degree of doneness…a bit more on the crust, a bit less on the top. Didn’t stop us from eating the whole thing!”

“The service and food are exceptional. I stoped here on my way to the airport. I was skeptical considering it's a tiny building, but they did not disappoint. The woman who helped us was sweet as can be and the breakfast sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The coffee was amazing as well. Cheap and far better than almost any coffee shop I've been too. I wish I could frequent this place!! They deserve 10 stars”

“Awesome food! We had fall off the bone ribs which comes with 3 sauces, pulled pork, brisket and bison ribs all was absolutely delicious. For the sides, we had mac and cheese, mashed potatoes with gravy, collard greens, cornbread and side salads. I do not know what they do to the mashed potatoes but I could eat a gallon of them! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back!”
