I've visited Smoke's Poutinerie twice, and it has left me with mixed feelings. The first time, I tried their classic poutine, but it had an unknown spice that I didn't enjoy. I prefer a regular poutine, and while it was slightly pricier than my favorite Costco's poutine, it was still reasonable compared to other downtown Fredericton restaurants. It's potuine. In every variety of the rainbow, but still, limited to deep fried food. Obviously, if you're headed there, be aware, but if you're shopping for a salad in a poutine shop, you've already got a screw or two loose.

I was not expecting much since this is poutine outside of the belle province but it was open so why not. The suace is excellent and really makes this poutine. The fries were great and the correct cheese curds were used. I would have like a little more cheese but overall good food and I would go back next time I'm in Fredericton.
