“I don’t really get all the bad reviews that seem to have problems with the hours, I haven’t ran into a lot of times they’ve been closed when they said they were open or anything like that. I honestly think this is one of the nicest bar in the triad. Great atmosphere. Cheap drinks. Massive enough so you can party, play pool, or just find a quiet corner and chill. I think the downtown Greensboro bar scene is so overrated and it’s really nice to have a local watering hole in Archdale to save you the drive.“

“Had a meal here tonight with friends and family. Nice relax atmosphere with friendly service. Food was really nice and good value. AllThe the patrons seemed to be happy. Great place to enjoy a meal and a cold beer. Will definitely be back again.“

“Great little secret. Great atmosphere, great people and best of all great beer!On weekends there can be live music and some times game nights. Patios in the front and rear are great when the weather is willing.Most folks grab food at one of the local places and bring it in.The staff is great and always willing to educate you on their most recent brews.“

“We ended up at Sammy G's for the first time in a very long time this past weekend. It was a Saturday evening so I was expecting a wait but luckily we were able to grab a table quickly. Our server was very good and attentive. The restaurant was busy but the wait staff stayed polite, attentive, and kind. The meal starts with these little rolls that hit the spot if you come in hungry. My husband picked the Blackened Salmon Sandwich with the chips. He said it had such a great taste and the blackening was the perfect level. I tasted one of his chips and they were perfectly crisp. I ordered the Tavern Chicken which comes with mashed potatoes and corn, as well as a side salad. My Caesar side salad was very good--the salad was well dressed and the dressing wasn't too "goopy" or heavy. My only super minor complaint was the salad took a bit to come out, and our server brought us more bread in the interim. The chicken was sheer perfection! I was hesitant about the tomato (they aren't my favorite) but the tomato added the perfect amount of acid which added to the flavor. The corn might be my favorite! If they gave out the recipe, I'd take it! Looking back, I'd ask for corn instead of the potatoes, they were just that good!“

“Always a great time, any day of the week. The bartenders and regulars treat you like family. Good prices, also. Always something going on, great live music that ranges from a live DJ on Fridays, a rock band on Saturdays, or acoustic sets on Sundays. The patio is also very spacious, and heated during the cold months. If you’re in Thomasville and going anywhere else, you are missing out.“

“My husband and I had a awesome time Junior from the Steve Harvey show was awesome. Just went to another show with Coca Brown she was awesome. The only thing I didn't appreciate is being asked if two other people could sit at our table and we purchased food and drinks that should be a choice not something mandatory. And these comedians that come there they honestly have nasty attitudes about taking a picture etc unless they can make money off of it then it's beneficial to them. Now we purchase tickets patronizing and we all in a recession money is tight remember celebrities you didn't make it by yourself we helped get you were you at .I don't like having to sit with people that I don't know and the fact that they don't even ask. The management is poor in my opinion and greedy.“

“Came to this location after a comedy show to party with my family.. The DJ had the place jumping.. had no idea the food would be so good and the drinks were so flavorful and the prices were surprisingly reasonable.. small establishment but this spot has so much personality.. We got to speak with the owner Anthony and he was such a great host. We live almost 2 hours away but we'll definitely be back .“

“Last Sunday we went to this bar with our group of 4. Awesome place! Good food, good music, good atmosphere, friendly people and I had a great time watching our men play pool.Wish we had a place like that here in the Netherlands! (or I'll just come back ?)“

“We had four meals for pick up. Salmon combo, 1/2 lb shrimp combo, chicken tenders and a Whitting combo. Everyone enjoyed the food. We could actually taste the fish, chicken and shrimp. Hush puppies where delicious with a few having actual corn in them. Very tasty. It was very easy to order over the phone and when we arrived they were finishing up our order. Everyone was very nice and pleasant. Definitely worth the money. We have found a new favorite.“

“I recently got the chance to visit High Point Bistro and I want to say that I was highly impressed and amazed by the food and also the customer service was also top notched. I would highly recommended if you are local to High Point and or are just visiting to check the place out. On weekends they have live music, amazing drinks, and impeccable food. “This place seems to be hugely popular and it has a very fun vibe that really makes it feel like a beach bar. The servers are friendly and very hard working as well. The drinks were very beachy and I loved them. They also have a few of their own beers which were light and go well with their menu. The menu is much more Oyster-shack than seafood restaurant which is exactly what they advertise, but if you're looking more of coastal style seafood place they have limited options - not no options, just less than you might be looking for. They also don't have any specific Gluten Free options, however much of this kind of menu is naturally GF so you can find something for sure. You may want to check the menu before coming in though. The place was busy at what should have been off hours so be aware that it's popular and you may need to wait. That also means it likely won't be a good place to just grab a drink if you're not hungry. Next time I'm in Jamestown, this will be high on my list of places to revisit.“

“Good atmosphere decent size and great sound system for bands nice little family local dive bar I would have given it 5 stars but to be honest second time I've been there and I'm not really impressed with the mixed drinks never really taste that good but besides that great place I just stick to beer LOL?“

“Making your way in the world today takes everything you got. And after all that, sometimes you just want to get away. ?This is my favorite bar in High Point. Reminds me a lot of the Cheers bar from TV. Everybody knows your name. And they are always glad you came.Thursdays are a lot of fun with open mic. Wednesday is also awesome with karaoke. Owners are awesome and the bar staff makes the best drinks. Great selection of beer and wine too!“

“Been here many times. Foods always good. Service is top notch. I do highly recommend the deep fried deviled eggs. They are amazing. This place is usually busy but they keep it clean and it normally runs pretty smooth. I will recommend you try this place out“
