“Quaint little place serving coffee, craft beer, wine, and sweets. Comfortable atmosphere to just sit and sip with friends. Didn't try any food so could not rate cookies etc. but it looks good. Parking is mostly street with a couple of small lots close by with a space or two available to patrons. Love it's name too!“
“Best lamb burger everProbably one of the better places in winston for a great vibes and amazing foodDrinks are great as wellLots of local and international brewsDefinitely recommend this spot to any out of town visitorGuess we ads considered locals and it always lifts the spirit“
“Well it doesn't say drinks and they don't have food so... but this place is the best! Was here to visit a family member for a function Downtown for 2 days and ended up here 3 times! Amazing cocktails that I couldn't even imagine the taste reading the description but were all really original and delicious! Amazing selection of find bourbon and scotch. Also rum, tequila, and vodka to a lesser extent. Met the manager BJ and 4 of the other tenders and they were all very good at their job as well as friendly and accommodating. Great atmosphere, not too crowded but crowded enough to meet other people and still be able to converse. Only downside is that I'm from Florida and now my favorite bar is over 8 hours away! Thanks for everything tate's!?“
“Village Tavern was recommended by friends. This was my first visit. It will not be my last. I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu. The catch of the day was Mahi. It was prepared with care, yielding a dish very close to perfection. The wait staff was friendly and attentive without being interruptive. Overall, it was a great dining experience!“
“My beautiful wife and I tried Twisted Pine for a quick date night. Had queso and chorizo as a starter which was great, I had the Young Cardinal burger which was fantastic and a side of the lo mein noodles. My wife had the Reuben special which was also amazing. Margaritas were great, beer was cold, server was awesome. We will certainly be back.“
“I really enjoy this place! I haven't tried everything on the menu but I do have a few choice favorites! The Pittsburgh Steak Salad with the lemon vinaigrette is top notch, as well as the Jail Bird Jerky and the Ruben Croquettes!! The drinks are super good, if you are a light weight, then you'll be good off of one. If you're a heavy weight, then you'll probably be good off of two, lol!!! I definitely recommend this spot.“
“Great location and convenient to Benton Convention Center and nearby Marriott and Embassy Suites. Food was excellent. No natural light penetrates indoors so you feel like you’ve entered a cave or perhaps a Mayan temple? Hmmm. The low, black painted ceiling and dark furniture contributes to the cavernous atmosphere but it didn’t deter from the great food.“
“Only went once in my short time in the area in Winter 2022/2023, but the music was stellar!!! I was lucky to get a decent seat I think. The drinks were great but the band Saphron was incredible. They truly revived my energy for live music (not that it was completely gone) with a vocal style and unique song structures that didn't hold back. The bands Withdrew and Sweet Dream were seriously great too, I was just tunnel-visioned on Saphron at that point. The patrons and bartender were super respectful. I am so glad I didn't leave the area without coming here first; check it out especially if you like good rock/punk music!!!“
“Absolute gem in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem! Everything about this place is great. Coffee is great & biscuits are great. They offer vegan & gluten-free option as well.Worth noting: the biscuits are not cheap, but the quality absolutely matches what you pay. Best biscuit in-town!“
“Had a good time after eating dinner at the porch which is right next door! It was bingo night which we were informed happens every Tuesday night. The bartender was very nice, I wasn’t a fan of the margarita tho. The Hurricane was good and only $5“
“Probably the only place in Winston-Salem to get quality sushi! I love coming here for lunch or dinner. The staff is very kind and the sushi options are vast and delicious. Even with some lactose intolerance I will eat all their crab rangoons! This place is great for a group lunch in the day or a cute date night.“
“I messaged to let them know that we had 3 couples that wanted to check them out. Very quick, warm response. The vibe feels right and the cocktails were creative and superb. David and Madeline took great care of us and we look forward to being regulars!“
“Definitely very great food and fast service. They are very busy but that does not take away the hard work. You can tell when you actually see it.Yes, it can be a hole in the wall but it’s a hidden gem. You will not be disappointed. I recommend the Snack Bar. Thank me “
“Delicious drinks with great presentation! Such a cool atmosphere, love the tiki vibe and the bartender was awesome and great to talk to! We definitely would come back for the cocktails. The bartender told us they infuse their alcohols with fresh fruits and that was pretty awesome!“
“Although the Long Island Iced Tea I ordered did not taste like one (I'm from Long Island NY)We had a great time and the band was tight! Also try the hot dog guy outside-Cleanliness was also impeccable!- ladies room was immaculate!!Looking forward to visiting again ?“
“Whether meeting with coworkers for lunch, dining with the fam, or in need of a date night, Hungry Palate is the place for you! Their menu includes unique dishes you won’t find anywhere else in WS and they rotate creative new dishes on their menu each week. Their food is consistently delicious!“
“What a great little hole in the wall bar. It's is small inside, but they do have some outdoor seating. Going in, you have a kind of Old Western Saloon. We had 4 adults and a gaggle of young teenage girls. The bartender made some special Shirly Temples for all of them. We all got a drink, and it was like $20. Fantastic prices! It's definitely a great place to check out. Outside, they even had an open window to the bar, so you could order.“
“This taqueria deserves the most stable review. The management is so comfortable and the atmosphere is so appreciated. They have so many options to choose from and they stock many drinks that are delicious even for those non-alcoholically. But if you want a bar they supplly many options. Plus the menu is very diverse!“
“I’ve enjoyed Eastern Standard a few times but our most recent visit was for a birthday celebration. The service from Cherry, Bob, and equally delightful bartender whose name escapes me really helped make the experience. It is classy and elegant but also very approachable. If you appreciate traditional mixed drinks or want to experience them, this is your place. The bartenders are legitimate bartenders who know their craft and execute well. Not that there isn’t also a thorough wine selection.Mixed nuts! Warm, seasoned, mixed nuts! They’re delicious and I’m not really a mixed nut person. The charcuterie is always impressive. The pimiento cheese is delightful as well. They have also truly nailed the aesthetic. It’s a beautiful place to feel beautiful.I’ll add that while there is dress code and security, it does not seem to be about gatekeeping or limiting minority patrons but actually about maintaining the elevated and elegant experience. So few places can manage that.Would recommend.“
“I came here a couple Sundays ago. It was just after they opened for the day and there wasn't many customers. For a spell it was just me and the bartender, an amiable chap with whom I had a nice chat about sundry pablum over a couple cocktails. There was some speculation that a drifter who had come in right before me had fallen asleep in the bathroom. Apparently, he went in but never re-emerged to order a drink, which is pretty sus. I helped the bartender check the situation out a little while later, thus establishing myself as a different brand of more trustworthy drifter, but it seemed the guy had just slipped out the back door. Again, a lil weird, but there was no untoward trackings left behind, and honestly, be there no harm, his business is his. This anecdote has nothing at all to do with the quality of this establishment. In fact, this bar is in a rather swanky, relatively recently remodeled part of town where I doubt anyone's got to worry about unsavory shenanigans unless they want to. I dig the Dram & Draught chain. I've been to three out of about a half dozen locations. They're of varying sizes and layouts, but they all share a smooth, jazzy atmosphere and top notch concoctions. I had the "Birds & Bees" off their favorites menu, which is sort of like an old fashioned with a little extra fruitiness. I also had a "Waters of Youth" from their seasonal selections. I don't remember what the flavor profile of that was but I remember thinking to myself: "I'd order this again." That's the best that can be said of any drink. Anyways, whoever that mysterious restroom roamer was, he missed out. He should have tried a bevy here. They're all good.“
“What do you call a brewery taproom that's long on style, has a downturn chill vibe, a super cool bartender, delicious beers, Yugioh ok the Telly and smooth R&B and Hip Hop keeping it real? I call it Hoots Taphouse. And the real question is...why aren't you here right now enjoying a beer like you know you should? A kaleidoscope like this is meant to be enjoyed! Get down here!!“
“If you're looking for a place with valet parking and they put napkins on your lap, this isn't the place. However if you're looking for good food and a local pub like environment this place fits the bill perfectly.Enjoy their burgers and their menu changes daily.Recommend the place for a good meal and some of the regulars are interesting.“
“The Quiet Pint is our go-to dinner spot around town! The food and service are always consistent, and we love to take visitors here for a casual bite that is sure to please! My go-to dish is the loaded black bean cake, which is always perfectly crisp and topped with fresh toppings. There is something on the menu for everyone, from burgers to street noodles to loaded mac-and-cheese. There is a covered outdoor area, an open outdoor area, and a smaller indoor bar area. The vibe is perfect for drinks, watching a game, or a chill dinner!“
“My wife’s first visit. We tried the fried deviled eggs and they are delicious. Our waitress was fantastic and the rest of our meal was great. More money than you would normally spend on a burger, but worth the extra bucks. Highly recommend.“
“Had an amazing time at Ole Watering Hole last night with friends. The hospitality was warm with a laid-back and cool vibe. Friendly staff, including the owner who introduced himself and made us feel welcomed. Fast service and the beer was absolutely cold. They had a phenomenal band named Hedtrip playing, just a really good time! BAM!!!“
“Don't be fooled walking inside Single Brothers having just a small indoor bar, but there's tons of outside seating at the back! It's a comfy neighborhood bar located in the Art District, and the chill atmosphere is what I love about this place. The drinks are amazing and is always a good time to wind down and hang with friends. Their cocktails are always made well but they also have draft beer and wine, too.“
