“Ok, we’re on a road trip in Asheville and see this little out of the way restaurant. My husband is hungry so we stop. My husband loves his fish Reuben. My chicken gyro had no flavor. They don’t skimp on the portions so you’ll definitely get your moneys worth. But I would not recommend the Giro.“
“Bargello was a nice surprise. Located in the Arris (Kimpton Hotel) in downtown Asheville (close to everything Asheville) is the place to go for brunch on Sunday morning. The eclectic menu had just what everyone in our party wanted for brunch. From the classic Cubano, to a delicious take on Eggs Benedict, to Avacado toast and sumptuous French toast, everthing was delicious and the service was superb. Asheville has plenty of brunch options, and this option delivered.“
“I was in town for a work trip and stopped here for lunch with my friend/coworker. Its a super cute little place. We enjoyed our server and the food. The food was delicious. We got the cheese plate appetizer and the shared the baby lamp chops plate. We were in a rush to get back to our meetings otherwise we would have stayed longer and enjoyed some of their dessert options.“
“The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the rice bowl, a masterful blend of flavors that felt like a symphony in my mouth, each spoonful better than the last. The spices were perfectly balanced, the rice cooked to fluffy perfection, and the accompanying ingredients fresh and vibrant. But it was the Yum Yum Wrap that truly sent my taste buds into a celestial overdrive. Every bite of this wrap was a revelation, with the tender, juicy fillings wrapped in a soft, freshly baked bread that melted in my mouth. The harmonious blend of sauces added a delightful kick, elevating the wrap to a level of its own.“
“[A Vegetarian & An Omnivore, Eating Out Together]Fig Bistro is one of our favorite places to eat. While small, the place is lovely and the service is attentive and friendly. The menu has a terrific balance between vegetarian and meat-based options. Favorite dishes include the salmon and the farro. We appreciate their commitment to sourcing locally whenever possible. While your favorite dish may not be on the menu forever, there will be something new you enjoy just as much. The tables are tightly spaced, but again, it's a small place and they need to maximize their seating. Whether you reside in the area or lucked into a visit here, Fig Bistro is worth your time and money.“
“Great food at reasonable prices. We had a gyro sandwich and the meatballs. I wish I had a plate of meatballs right now! We will eat here again next time we are in Asheville. We were too hungry to stop for photos!Kid-friendliness: A family restaurant.“
“There was nothing wrong with the food, definitely more 'American' than 'Greek' . Congratulations on celebrating 24years in business. That's a wonderful accomplishment.I moved to Asheville 22 years ago and Apollo Flame has always been a staple. Whether I was on the west side of town for work or play, it was a consideration.“
“My wife and I are huge foodies and were looking for the perfect catering for our wedding. Well, this was it. The owners went out of their way to coordinate with us on our schedules for a tasting and logistics. Pricing was highly both transparent and reasonable. Everyone was helpful and responsive to our requests, adjustments, and needs (we had a number of dairy and/or gluten free as well as vegetarian guests), getting us our requested items as well as anticipating and suggesting additional ones that would fill out our options to make everyone feel comfortable. Oh, and lest we forget, the food was INCREDIBLE! The tebbouleh (probably botched that) and dolmas were favorites. The chicken shawarma and felafel were giving them a good run for the spot though. With an hour or so drive from asheville to our venue they were perfectly punctual and everyting arrived hot (or not as needed). All this would be more than enough but made exceptionally exceptional given they were simultaneosly working on final stages of opening another location! Head to toe an amazing restaurant run and staffed by wonderful people whose magnificent food and service made our special day something all the moreso. Cant recommend them enough.“
“Cava is always one of my go to healthy options, when I don’t feel like the price or the sodium of eating at other restaurants. I love building my own thing, and you can always switch it up! This particular Cava looks new! It was super clean and the staff was friendly :)Vegetarian options: Very easy to eat veg here :)Dietary restrictions: Easy to make your meal GF or Vegan“
“A group of us were in town for business and came here for dinner… They have a very nice menu loaded with fresh, interesting items. They offer cocktails, beer, and wine and all selections were really good.Service was great! Friendly, helpful, and prompt. The venue it nice, whether you’re sitting inside or out; we chose to sit outside, as it was a beautiful evening. We enjoyed everything we got… The crab cakes were outstanding! All meat with hardly any binder, so they used a nice, breadcrumb “shell” to hold it together, which offered an amazing crunchy texture to some bites – loved this!Definitely stop in, it’s worth the visit!!“
“Joined a friend for breakfast at the Med. Waited about an hour to get a seat, and while waiting, got in trouble (over-shopped) at the amazing store next door. Make sure that you call ahead and get in the list! I ordered the catfish with collards and potatoes. The catfish was very good and the potatoes were delicious. I think the best (home fries) I've ever had at a restaurant. They give you a generous serving of half sized potatoes. The collards were not my cup of vinegar. Too much vinegar and spine. I dislike the spine included on most leafy veggies. I also had a cup of hot chocolate that was good too. My friend had an omelette and she thought it was okay. I enjoyed my food and would go back when in town.“
