The West End Bakery is a hidden gem in AVL, offering a variety of delicious meals and baked goods. Their breakfast sandwiches are top-notch, especially the fantastic grits bowl. The lunch menu, available from 12-4, is a pleasant surprise with items like the porccetta sandwich that will blow your mind. The bakery itself is clean and well-maintained. While some pastries like the vanilla cheesecake are amazing, others like the chocolate donut may fall short. The cinnamon roll with cream cheese, however, was hard and disappointing. Despite some misses, The West End Bakery is worth a visit for those looking for more than just a basic cafe experience.
