“Excellent food. Probably one of the best eggs Benedict we’ve had. Good ingredients and great flavor. The service was questionable. I think we just wound up with the slow waiter. The other service staff seemed to be working harder. It took about 10 minutes for the waiter to first stop by our table. We were actually tempted to leave, as the restaurant was not busy and had many open tables. But once our food was ordered it came out relatively fast. Finally, we had to wait a while again for our waiter to get the check and pay. Other than the slow waiter, it was a great experience.“
“This is where the real locals of Chapel Hill go! First off, it’s cash only but doesn’t worry, they have an ATM outside the door. The food is fresh.You walk into the restaurant and move immediately to your left and place your order for your meat. Then you pay; after you get your plate you go over to the bar and get your vegetables. I recommend the onion rings and the green beans are scrumptious. This place is no fuss and all food“
“This is my favorite place for Chinese take-out! The delightful experience begins with the friendly family members who take your order. Every dish I have had here has been delightful. The level of seasoning is just perfect. I particularly enjoy the way they prepare their vegetables so they maintain their integrity. Personal favorites include the House Special Wonton Soup, Roast Pork with Chinese Vegetables, and Vegetable Egg Foo Young.“
“I came here with my husband and we were really impressed by the food and the atmosphere! It's been a while since my visit, but I was honestly shocked that I hadn't had the chance to review it. We got the smoked brisket plate, the jambalaya, and the gumbo. I think the brisket plate was out favorite item, but the jambalaya was a close second!! We are excited to come back soon.“
“I always get the biscuits and chicken gravy, which is very good—hard to find quality non-pork sausage versions of the white gravy! My server, Brittany, was very nice and helpfully tried to accommodate dish substitutions. “Wonderful! Have been to this cute bake shop a few times to try different items and all were so tasty! She does a variety of donuts and cookies, which are my husband and I's favorite! Tonya is also so warm and welcoming to talk to. She even does cakes and was kind of enough to give me a red velvet cake from the back. Don't miss out on her famous pecan crisps either!“
“We made our first visit to Walt's Grill yesterday and we really enjoyed our visit!I had the smothered pork chops, fried okra, and macaroni & cheese. Everything was full of flavor and very enjoyable.Mr. Walt found it hard to believe we had traveled all the way from our town to Chapel Hill just to visit his restaurant but we were talking the truth! We don't get to the Chapel Hill/Carrsboro area very often, but we like to find great eating spots along the way for those times we do find ourselves near those areas. We will definitely be back and look forward to talking with Mr. Walt, again!“

“Just had a GREAT meal at 401 Main! I got the buttermilk fried shrimp and the side of the day, which was roasted broccoli in an Asian glaze. The shrimp were humongous, tender, and flavorful, and there were TEN in the order. The broccoli was also addictively delicious. Service (aka Wayne) was outstanding as well, very friendly and kindhearted. Can't wait to sit on the patio with my dogs to hear live music once the weather warms up!“
