Disappointed in the food here, went on a Monday morning brunch to meet a friend visiting in town. Felt so sorry that I picked this place. She was polite and didn't say anything but noticed that she was pushing her beans aside, asked her if she didn't like beans (thinking it was weird her being vegan) and she said, no I love beans its just these taste like they are about to go bad.. i myself tasted it and yes, it was just old cold beans that they reheated (center cold outside warm) that was just about to go bad. I got shrimp and grits and thought they accidentally poured salt in it, it was so salty. I won't be coming back here, what a shame!! They have a perfect location with a lot of traffic, beautiful decor but the food is just awful!!

No place to park. The food was good to medium well. The service was really good. It's just too hard to get parking around or near to the restaurant.

Food was good, but service was fairly awful. We waited for over an hour for our meal to come out after we ordered it. The Caesar salad was average, but it was nice that you could get actual anchovies. The shrimp and grits was pretty solid but very rich. It's a good dish to share.. had a really nice West Coast IPA by Vicious fishes "there be dragons" Ambiance is charming. It was strange. My husband wanted a roll with his salad, and they appeared to have no bread besides hamburger buns when we were told that there was a great bread bakery just down the street!!! They should take some initiative to pair up with the bakery and serve their bread....

Sorry for length. Great Location. Great Food. Great Ambiance. Service questionable. Management response terrible. 3 stars only because we liked the wait staff. Otherwise, it would have been 2 stars. We got there for our 12:45pm reservation and waited til almost 1pm before getting water. We then waited another 10 minutes before anyone came by to take our drink order. We were pretty relaxed so didn't make a big deal about it. Waited another 10-15 minutes for someone to take our food order. We felt like we just slipped through the cracks with communication in the restaurant. We were ok until the two tables, who sat well after us got their food. They were almost done before we got two of our 3 orders. The salad with grilled chicken came out about 5 minutes later. None of the above is an exaggeration. We were frustrated but ok until the manager made it worse. He kept reiterating that the other tables put their orders in before we did. We explained that this was the issue - nobody came to our table to begin with. That didn't seem to be a problem to him. Even the table next to us came over later, saying the manager was obviously gaslighting us. The meal should have been comped and it was only discounted. This is a very nice and expensive restaurant. I expect much better. This might be a one-off but it is disappointing.

The two stars is because it's easter Sunday and I am trying to be nice. Ambiance: love the interior, wall paper and furnishing.,Clean and cozy feeling. Service: They were very attentive and quick in providing the service needed. Food: The food was not good in any way. I got waffles and chicken. The waffles were ok but the chicken was just off. Not flavorful and looked burnt. I kept trying to poke the middle to be sure it was properly cooked. Nobody finished their meal it was disappointing. One of the people in my party usually inhales his food and he only eat half of his meal. They did have lots of free desert. I will give them credit for that.

I've never been for lunch or dinner but I can say Outstanding early morning breakfast for which I've been several times.. great service.. only thing keeping it from 5 stars from me is would be nice to have a few more options on the breakfast menu.

Peck & Plume bar offers a truly cool atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Their cocktails are not only great but also exceptionally tasty. I particularly loved their take on the old fashioned—it was simply superb. If you're looking for a place with a great vibe and delicious drinks, Peck & Plume is a must-visit.

My recent brunch experience at this restaurant left much to be desired, primarily due to the glaring disorganization of the service. Despite arriving promptly at 11:30 am and being informed of a 30-minute wait for a table, the handling of our seating was haphazard at best. After the designated waiting period, instead of being seated as promised, we were redirected to the bar, an offer we declined. Subsequent attempts to inquire about our table were met with vague assurances and further delays. It seemed the hostess's attention was divided, leading to confusion and frustration among waiting patrons. The disorganization extended to the kitchen, as evidenced by the excruciatingly long wait of 50 minutes for our simple salad orders to arrive. When the food finally did reach our table, it was far from satisfactory. Overdressed salads and improperly prepared poached eggs left much to be desired regarding taste and quality. In conclusion, while the restaurant's ambiance and design may have been appealing, the overall dining experience was marred by the lack of organization and attention to detail. Without significant improvements in service efficiency and coordination, I cannot recommend this establishment to others.

Honestly the hostess was a snob. If you don’t have a reservation you’re considered a person who can’t sit in the dining room even though it’s empty. The waitress really wasn’t any better. They need to work on personal skills and the menu is really limited.

It's in Cary downtown so finding parking can be a challenge. This is a hotel restaurant inside the Mayton. I made a reservation and got lucky enough to sit in the super cozy library side. The restaurant itself is very beautiful and spacious. It got pretty crowded while we were there. Now for the food, the menu could be better. The brunch options were okay and limited. The food was alright. I got the chicken sandwich and the meat was quite dry. It was just a basic sandwich with lettuce, tomato and cheese for $18. My soup had no flavor and I regretted getting it. They don't have any other coffee options other than black coffee. Giving 3 stars for the beautiful ambience and good service. But their food and the menu needs some work for improvement.

We made reservations for our wedding anniversary 3-4 weeks in advance. Our reservations were specifically made for the heated/cover terrace as we knew from reviews that the main dinning room was very loud. Upon arrival at the restaurant we were seated in the main dinning room and told a private event had recently been scheduled for the terrace. They were not seating any uninvited guest in that area. After requesting to speak to the manager three time, he finally came over. He said all guests with terrace reservations were called in advance except us. He comped half of the food cost on our bill and apologized. This was all well and good but conversations at our table were strained to say the least. Food, cocktails and service (server Campbell) was fantastic and highly recommended, but we will probably never return as we could only enjoy our outing in solitude as we can't speak ASL.

Great burger and atmosphere . Great views of the park from the patio. Parking is always complicated so arrive early to find a spot.
