“We went for a birthday dinner. One person in our party has a serious dairy allergy. After a slight miscommunication, our server and the chef were incredibly accommodating, even making a special dish! Wonderful service and the food was absolutely spectacular! Thank you ?“

“Sandwich shop in a farmers market with outside picnick tables. Food of exceptional quality. Top few Cuban sandwiches I've had and I've tried at least 50 different versions. Best was at an authentic Cuban place in Florida but this one was right up there.“

“Great large indoor and outdoor area that is pet friendly. We tried a few beers that were good, not spectacular but good. We had the Brussels (really good!) and the smash burger (okay). We got to be out for the eclipse which was awesome after a great local hike as well. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.“

“Cashiers offers a number of good restaurants, though some may be closed in the off season. If you don't want to drive to Brevard Cashiers has options. The Ugly Dog pub is a great choice. Good food served fast. The place was not crowded in March. The manager made the rounds to check on us. My wife needed gluten free. They don't have GF bread ? but they offered to give her the sandwich on the plate, no bun. They have a full bar with two big screen TV's over the bar. If you are in the area and don't want a chain restaurant, it's a good option.“

“This is our favorite restaurant in Cashiers. Apparently, it's the favorite of lots of other folks, too! During season, there can be a line. Their sandwiches are delicious, and are always fresh. If we are anywhere near, we'll be stopping at Cornucopia. They seem to have plenty of parking, though you might sometimes have to search a bit for a spot during the busy times. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the restaurant has an open feel that makes you feel comfortable. I think you'll like eating here.“

“Burger was quite good, omelet was okay. Got strange looks from what must be locals when we came in. Service was good. Order took a long time to arrive and two tables that came in after us received their food first. Server was much more attentive to the other tables. I wouldn't stop here again on my way through but wouldn't advise you against it.“

“We stopped in after a little road trip from clemson to highlands and found this gem on a busy weekend night. We spoke with the hostess, who was very polite, and were seated promptly. The food was delicious! believe I had the NC trout and my friend had the tomato bisque with some pasta dish. We will be back“

“Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! We took a trip this past weekend to highlands where I proposed to my beautiful girlfriend, and decided to celebrate here for dinner. Great decision! Food was 10/10, service was unmatched, and the atmosphere was great! A little on the pricey side but well worth every penny. I’m somewhat a foodie so it takes something special to wow me and this place did it!“

The service was efficient, polite, and on-time. We also had an afternoon lunch in the back where there is a putting green and other activities outside the bar. Dereck and his team are real pros. This place is a treasure and highly recommended.“

“Luke was our server at last night's delicious dining experience. He was seemingly playing host, runner and server so it did take time for our orders to be taken. We arrived shortly after 5 so had to enjoy appetizers and drinks for the hour until the kitchen opened at 6. Enjoyed probably the best homemade pecan pie I've ever had, with vanilla bean ice cream and a trout dip with crackers while we played cards with our daughter and sipped on tasty cocktails. Jason, the manager was welcoming and incredibly hospitable and took time to visit with several tables, making eye contact, engaging with patrons and making everyone feel at home. Stellar management because of the efficiency and running the front-of-house like a well oiled machine. Hummingbird lounge is a stellar setting complete with comfort, ambience and gives the feeling of a speakeasy and rustic upscale cabin. Comfy chairs and couches are strewn throughout with interesting artwork and artifacts as the fireplace crackled and the Christmas tree lights flickered. The food was topnotch and worth the high price tags ranging from $32-56 per entree. Luke was spread thin so we didn't see him as often as we would've liked, but the overall experience at Hummingbird lounge is decadent. Thank you Jason!“
