“The Isles is the only restaurant on the Beach in OIB. My husband and I have always enjoyed going there and sitting outside at the Tikki Bar. The Bartenders are always friendly and attentive. The food is ALWAYS delicious and delivered hot. Our only complaint is this past year, (2021), they served a very shortened menu. We don't necessarily think they need to go back to the old menu of too many options, but a daily special of some type might be welcomed. I know we didn't go to the restaurant as frequently as we usually do, because we got bored with the same ole menu items, (we live at our house March-October). Overall though if your just here for a vacation, you will not go wrong going to the Isles. Beautiful views and Great food. For sure check theIr hours, the hours in 2021 were shortened because like so many, they were short staffed. Also, we suggest you make a reservation if you don't intend to sit at the bar.“

“I was with my 80 year old mom looking for a place to eat without going off our route. We found this place. It was a busy Tuesday with the Captain singing and interacting with the patrons. We just had burgers which were just so-so but watching my mom have a blast was priceless. She can't wait to go back!“

“You want to talk about cake?!?! Banana pudding cake?!?! Carrot cake!!! Dear Lort!!! If I lived there I would 300lbs and broke!!! I could eat there every day!!! Cocktails were amazing also!!! Staff was helpful with drink suggestions and attentive to the table needs! Must go!!!“
“Popped in here on a cold February night on the island. Immediately the owner spotted us and gave a warm welcome. Throughout the night his attention to guests took center stage. Recognizing almost everyone he was quick to say hi, wave a hand and stop by the table to chat. He definitely made a mark on our visit! At his recommendation we ordered the expresso martini and smoky old fashioned. Both were delicious and followed by more. There was no food service being off season, but we were invited to order from a neighboring restaurant. Soon the owner was serving popcorn hot off the popper to the patrons. Great treat to accompany cocktails. This place has a great local vibe, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the locals will keep Bar 1957 around for a long time. I’ll be there for sure!“

“Superb food and service. Most places should take notes on service here. When we went, it was very crowded, but that was because of a birthday party and they couldn't utilize outside due to rain. Pricing was fair for the area. Dining inside requires you to navigate steps. Fantastic place, really.“

“Good menu choices, good tasting, and served quite fast. Red snapper was tasty but it was on the dry side. Most in our party did not like/eat the clam chowder due to its gray color. We hail from New England and expected the same broth color and New England traditional recipe here in the South.“

“First, I had moved the salad around before the picture. It was much prettier when it came out. Secondly, the salad was delicious (Citrus Tuna). The wings were crispy because the bartender recommended to get them naked and get the sauce on the side. Well, that's great and all but he should have told us he was charging us $4 for the little cup of sauce on the side and $12.99 for 6 wings. Imho-expensive for what you got but it's the beach. There is lots of outdoor seating which is good but, it faces a parking lot.The bartender, Dave?, was friendly.I saw someone's grilled scallops which looked great (large, not those tiny ones)They had awesome looking desserts and huge , fun cocktail menu, but didn't have either.More reasonable than Kathryn's and Caribsea as well as children and dog friendly. Ice cream, candy store next door.“

“Our server was friendly and attentive. My fried, beef chimichangas were yummy. The fresh guacamole was made right at our table. He listed all the ingredients and asked how hot we wanted it, so you can get it made to your liking. Others at my table had chicken quesadillas and beef tacos. Every one was happy with their food. The strawberry and peach margaritas were really good, too.“

“Did not try any food (do they offer it?) as we were there for drinking. Great, attentive bartenders and a super friendly outdoor space. We were there for New Year's Eve and they had ice sculptures, a 360 camera and shuttle buses on call that would bring you there and home. Be sure to tip your driver!!!“
