“My wife and I have been here multiple times before. Out go to order is : fried calamari, raw oysters, and 2 po boys. The raw oysters come out ice cold and fresh no fishy smell, the calamari is very well cooked and delicious, The po boys come on an amazingly baked bun and the sauce just ads so much dimension to the sea food. They never disappoint if you sit outside the service might not be the best though. I’ve honestly never actually had any problems here, 100% would recommend to anyone.“

“I discovered The Garage thanks to an app that points out places where RVers can stay overnight. So I arrived in the early evening, spent a few hours with a beer or two on their free wifi and then moved the Sprinter van around to the side. It was a quiet night. The Garage is, yes, a former repair shop complete with rolling doors that were open on this pleasant evening. It was not at all busy inside so I was able to drink a delicious local beer with my laptop. And since I'm not driving, I had a second one. “Tonight was our 2nd visit here and both our visits have been great! This is a busy place but service is exceptional. Tonight, Chris, apologized they could not be as attentive as usual because they were busier than usual for a Sunday night…. However, we considered the service tonight better/more attentive than at traditional restaurants. Customer service seems harder and harder to come by, but you will find it plentiful here. Side note- the burgers are absolutely delicious.“

“BTM is our regular, go-to spot in New Bern. It is the most accepting bar for everyone to go. The patrons are all one family. The staff is welcoming, fun, and caring. They make a sure you have a good time. This place is a gem and an establishment for the town. It is also a place to grab an affordable drink. We are regulars and will always be loyal patrons of the bar. Can’t say enough about how much we love this place.“
“We have been coming here for years, and I don't live in the area anymore, but when we come back, we always stop in! The pool tables are great and fairly priced. They offer small snacks and, of course, a full bar. I have yet to find a pool hall/bar that we like more!“

“We had a party of seven for birthday celebrations and we had reservations at 5:30 and got in right away and got served right away. The food was very delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The workers were very pleasant and helpful when we requested something extra. Had a great time being there and enjoyed the meal thoroughly.Parking: They are always very busy but we always have been able to find a spot to park.“
“I'm giving the restaurant a five star review, mostly because I'm a nice person. We used to go here all the time. Then, they opened a second section (good for them, business is booming), and we stopped going. We had to wait for a table, were ignored by the waitstaff, and the restaurant was very loud due to a lack of soundproofing. I wish the owners the best of luck. The food is good. But the wait for it has become too long for my liking. It used to be a go-to place. Maybe when I return again, it will be better, perhaps this is just growing pains.“

New leadership was implemented a few months ago and they are doing an outstanding job by offering weekly specials, keeping the menu manageable for their size and their staff. The quality of the selections we've enjoyed is outstanding. The staff is friendly, attentive and the service gets better every time we visit. A great neighborhood restaurant that's working very hard to earn the community support and respect.“
