Don't miss these Conover Mexican restaurant gems.
“The area is not the best. It’s hard to find and surrounded by traffic. The service was great, the woman working was fast and communicative. It’s also the most authentic Mexican. I’m from LA and this is the closet to home we’ve found. The sopas and tacos were great, I wish the carne had a little more flavor but overall the best around.“
“I was in Conover for the first time and took a client out to lunch at Dos Amigos. I liked the bar, and if I was in the area again, I would sit at the bar and have a margarita. For my meal, I had the carnitas, and the pork was delicious. It also comes with rice and beans. Dos Amigos is a very nice Mexican restaurant, and I would come back.“
“Lots of Mexican foods and products. Reasonably priced, A nice variety of dried and fresh spices. Very knowledgeable and friendly and very helpful. The store was clean but packed with a variety of Authentic Mexican foods not offered in other stores.. Some fresh and frozen foods, Piñatas , Tortilla press, canned goods ,Mortor and pestal for grinding your own corn. Everything you could want plus more..“
“My husband and I love coming to El Paso at least once or twice a month. ALWAYS great food! We love the atmosphere bc it's family friendly. And the chips and salsa bar is amazing! I also love the bean dip. Something different than most of the Mexican style restaurants I've been to.“
“This is my local go to restaurant. The friendly atmosphere and authentic food is what keeps me coming back time and time again! The food is delicious and the service is excellent. This is all family here and you feel like family when you are here! I would highly recommend 3 Hermanos!“
“Literally drove an hour just to eat the food here. Service is really fast considering the amount of time and effort that goes behind making this amazing food. I would drive any amount of time through any type of weather just to eat the food here.“
“I had the chorizo torta and steak tacos. Had to split that into 3 separate meals there was so much food. Very good flavors. I will be going backWheelchair accessibility: It is a food truck in a parking lot so wheel chairs would have no issues at all“
“We stopped on the way to Asheville. With a table for 7 we all enjoyed our food...the service was great and the outside covered area was beautiful. We even browsed the little store and found itmes for home. Highly recommend! Oh and price was extremely reasonable!Parking: Just a small.lot ... we parked in the wrong place! Lol“
“We are visiting family in Hickory while on vacation and wanted some good Mexican food. Rancho Viejo did not disappoint. The food was amazing and came out sizzling hot. The food tasted delicious and the portions so generous. Our server Chema was so polite and attentive to us throughout the meal. We definitely recommend eating here and we will come back when we visit again.“
“Went here for a dinner with co workers. Had a very good experience. Food was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and took very good care of us. I had a California burrito and a blackberry margarita. It was very good. I highly recommend “
“Chicken fajitas were fine. Chile rellano consisted of a large plate crammed with food; everything was mashed together. Actually, quite unappetizing though the taste was OK. Margarita was quite good. Salsa was not spicy at all; it required ordering habanero dip to add a tiny amount to the initial dip (for $2). Service was fine except for al long wait for the check.“
“We used to visit regularly. Food was good, and very good service….Unfortunately the food quality and taste has gone downhill lately. Service is still above average.Update. Revisited this restaurant yesterday. Seems to back to what it was. Much better now..“
“This is not your regular Mexican restaurant. They primarily have seafood. The food was great and the portions are very large. The dry ceviche (instead of salsa and chips) was good, but all the salsas were too spicy for us. I'd definitely come back, as they have a good variety of dishes to try.“
“A very nice place, and the staff very friendly and fast service, I don't have photos, we ordered takeout and everything was very delicious and if I will eat at la cosí uta again I loved their food….Wheelchair accessibility: Well, you have access to the area for all types of people, inside the restaurant they have a lot of space between tables“
“I have been coming to Tacos el Tio Chetos for a very long time. The waitresses have always been very good, but the one that has been with them for years is awesome. She keeps up with the full dining room and I have watched her take deliveries and bring me my drink at the same time. I am well known there now since I eat there often. It is the best Mexican food in the area by far, and the most authentic! The food is inconsistent in its preparation, but always has been very delicious. Just like I cook! Try the Norteno and the ACP, but their weekend special of Barbacoa is outstanding!“
“We have been to El Paso many times and every time it’s awesome! We have been in small groups and big groups and have always had excellent service and excellent food. I love the fiesta burrito and the white cheese sauce is amazing. We always start out with guacamole regional. It’s a must have for everyone. We have many friends that visit us and they always want to make one of our dinners at El Paso. Thanks for your constant attention to detail and delicious food!“
“This restaurant has an upscale vibe compared to the El Paso kind of Mexican restaurant. It was beautifully decorated and the service was great. The managers made our short wait enjoyable. Families were there having a wonderful time. Food was great. I didn't like the churros they were fried way too hard. Couldn't even eat them. But I took them to go. Would have been recooked had I ate them there no doubt. The managers and staff were there to make sure my experience was one of enjoyment.“

“We got lost and ended up here and it was the happiest accident of my life. Amazing authentic food and service with a smile. We had no idea we were there past closing and they still served us the extra tamales we ordered. We made sure to tip extra after finding that out and we definitely will be back during regular business hours.“
“I had the Dos Amigos Cheese steak plate which was delicious. My husband had #11. He said it was good but the meat was a little salty. The atmosphere is really nice inside shiny wooden tables, etc., and the bathrooms are beautiful & clean. Service was really good too. We will be going back.“
“Eat here at least once a week. My only suggestion would be to use different take out containers for bean dip. I checked my bag before leaving, thankfully. The bean dip was oozing in the bottom of bag. The container was turned sideways. I emptied the bag and cleaned it up. The hostess gave me a new bag.“
“Easily my favorite resteraunt around. No contest. They make the best food, hands down, for miles around. “My boyfriend and I recently discovered Casa Azul, and we were thoroughly impressed! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was fantastic. The beautiful interior makes it a great place for a casual yet enjoyable dining experience, perfect for couples or even a group gathering. The customer service truly shined--our waitress was an absolute gem. She was incredibly attentive, keeping our drinks refilled and chips flowing throughout the meal (the salsa was seriously addictive, by the way!) Our orders arrived perfectly cooked and without any issues or need to send back.Speaking of the food, the portions were quite generous! Everything we tried was bursting with flavor, and the price point felt very reasonable considering the plate sizes and quality of the food. We even left with leftovers to enjoy later, which is always a plus. While the drinks were slightly on the pricier side, they were definitely worth the splurge; they were well-crafted and perfectly complemented the food.Overall, our lunch experience at Casa Azul today was fantastic! We loved everything--the tasty and plentiful food, the refreshing drinks, the outstanding customer service from our awesome waitress, and the fun and inviting atmosphere. We will definitely be back to explore more of the menu and experience Casa Azul's hospitality again soon!“
