“We ate dinner there on a Monday, 9/25/23 while on our 50th anniversary vacation. We chose the outdoor seating. My wife got the vegetarian tacos with a side of sweet potato tots. I got the fried shrimp tacos with a chef’s side of maple balsamic glazed Brussels sprouts. The food was fantastic and a big thanks to our server, Eliza C., who was super! “Their beers were just okay, everyone in our group thought the lager and blonde tasted the exact same. However, the scenery was gorgeous since it's right on the river so that made it worth it. A plus is they're dog friendly with dog bowls!“

“Menu here is so vast a space telescope couldn't take it all in. I honestly can't think of. an establishment with variety like you'll find here. Order at the counter, then server promptly brings it to your self selected table. The walls are nearly full of historic photographs and memrobeal that I hope to take a closer look at, WHEN I go back.“

“We arrived at around 10:00 on a Sunday morning. As a larger party, we were expecting to have to wait. So the 20 minutes wasn't bad considering. The only negative is our party had to be seated at 2 different tables. However, they were close enough we could all talk. The view is beautiful. The service is speedy, and our food was out pretty quickly.“

“The best Thai restaurant I’ve ever dined at. They don’t have you traditional Thai dishes like pad Thai or pad se ew. Their speciality is Thai food from northern Thailand where their head chef, Chef KANLAYA “GUN” is from.Everything we had was delicious beyond compare. The presentation was beautiful for all the dishes. Each dish was well balanced and seasoned to perfection.All the staff were friendly, kind, and professional. I really could not have asked for more. “HARD TO FIND lol huge sign on the side of building but entrance is a small door past where you’d expect. We walked into a pizza place and tried to order beer. OOPS. Service is better here than the other innovation location but it may of just been the time of day we came.They have a big selection, cool vibes with darts and do half pours!!“

“Easily the busiest place in Sylva. You wouldn't expect to find a fairly popular brewery here but it's located right off main. Offering food and live music too. Took the bartender forever to even pay attention to us though. Sat right at the bar and watched him help 3 or 5 people before us. So I guess if you have nothing else to do in Sylva then you just come here because it's the most active place in town. “This is my second time being at Balsam, I adore this place! The staff is so incredible, I ordered the “The BrewMaster’s burger” and the Raspberry cider, a side of fries and beer cheese. I mentioned that I’m allergic to Blue Cheese and I think two or three people communicated that (in all fairness it probably isn’t the best thing for me to order since the highlight is Blue Cheese). I was extremely impressed that they took my food allergy seriously, even though it’s foolish of me to order something with a component of a severe allergy. The fries were perfection, the beer cheese was delicious, and didn’t have a funky after taste, the burger was extremely good (though it was missing the star of the show, Blue Cheese). The onions and mushrooms were sautéed perfectly. Overall the experience after being on the road for hours was warm and welcoming, food was one point and the service makes you feel at home. ♥️ Thank you, Balsam♥️“

“There were six of us, we all got Tomahawks and we also got a Large Seafood Tower. It was wonderful. There was a Manager ( In training i think.. i drank a-lot ) she was awesome and very personable and even gave me some tips on my Miami trip coming up. 10/10“

“Totally excellent food. I got the double cheeseburger with bacon and jalapenos with barbecue sauce, can't remember the name of it on the menu, and a double order of fries. Only $24, would have spent that at McDonald's or Burger King or Hardee's and not got as good a burger or fries.“

“Beautiful experience for 8 with excellent service . A suggestion more than a complaint . Menu “dollar” pancakes are anything but dollar size . And there's a sense these pancakes coming from the buffet steaming line and aren't exactly hot or warm . And tough on bottom . Thanks“

Great place to have breakfast every morning if you're within 25ish minutes.Dietary restrictions: My wife has a gluten allergy, and frankly this is one of the most conscious restaurants with a simple, yet full and comprehensive gluten free menu. Most of their menu items are gluten free.“

“I got the chicken nachos which was really good they was different from the nachos I’m used to from other Mexican restaurants (they didn’t put cheese dip over the nachos it was more like shredded Mexican cheese) however it was really good! We also got the queso dip as an appetizer which was one of the best cheese dips I’ve had.“

“Probably my favorite place to eat in Sylva besides Josh's Backstreet Takeout. Love their Caesar wraps and grilled chicken sandwich, and weekly wing flavor specials that are always A++ (got the pineapple wings on a whim this week and was surprised at how good they were). Good quality wing in and of itself which is a must for a place that serves wings. Only a few times did I get a super small portion or had part of my order missing or wrong. They are nice, just double check your order before you leave if ordering takeout!“
