“Nothing fancy, but dear lord it is one of the best around. Food is amazing and staff is even better. The pricing cannot be beat! An entree and two sides for $7-8, got you thinking this is some 1990s dinner pricing. And these portions are grandma portions. The kind of portion where you told grandma "I'm not hungry", but she loads up your plate anyways and you end up taking some home because there's just too much on the plate. A true gem in the area.“

“Food was pretty good. Proportions could have been a little bit more, but it was sufficient. The cook that was helping us was very friendly and helpful. He made the experience for us. Most customers seem to carry their food out, but the atmosphere inside is nice enough. Plain and modern interior. If you're in the mood for a grain bowl ? ( which many people are these days ) then you can do way worse than go to Happy and Hale. I'd say give it a shot. We tend to go a couple of times a month.Vegetarian options: Vegans and vegetarians can find plenty to eat here.“

“We stopped by here on our travels from Helen Georgia to Wilmington. My wife was craving some Thai food and this is what she found. BJ took care of us at the restaurant. When I say he took care of us, I mean he accommodated our family of 5 in ways we couldn’t even imagine. It was such a homie feel. He adapted the menu for our kids and he was attentive to every one of their needs. Even before we left, he gave us drinks for the road and made sure we were taken care of prior to our departure. He made it a point to get all of our names and wish us a safe travel. The love this man showed to us was amazing and we hope you experience the same thing when you dine here. The food was great! Everything was fresh to order and very flavorful.“

“We needed food pretty late night after a concert and Ma's hooked it up. Ot a few burgers and fries. The most delicious burger I've ever had.They're only open Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 8pm to 3am but the food is so delicious we went back the next night and tried the chicken cutlet which is also mega delicious.Parking: Only 2 or 3 spaces but since its takeout /delivery only they dont stay occupied long“
“This is the first time I remember having an arepa, & I loved it! I'll definitely be looking for more places to try them. I got the signature shredded beef arepa and added plantains, it was absolutely delicious!!!!!! No complaints, the flavors mingled perfectly! It was only $7.00, & filled me up for lunch. Super casual place, my one suggestion though is don't order it to go, because I saw a lot of customers returning because their orders were messed up. You can also park in the target garage for free!“
“I really enjoyed our food! My son and I had pizza and shared a salad. Their house made ranch was fantastic! I gave low stars for service because when we first walked in, no one spoke to us. The lady who took our order was nice enough. There were only 2 other people dining when we were there, but it was only 4:30pm.“
“Every time I go into heavenly Buffalo I have a heavenly experience. Sometimes I'm so high on wings that I'm not even sure what's real. One time I saw 2 girls dressed as sharks and another patron was having such a good time he fell out of his chair. Where else in Durham can you get a heavenly experience like that? The team led by sterling the amazing manager are always friendly and a joy to interact with. The sauces are straight up heavenly.“

“I found someplace I'm going to order from over and over again! All of the food I tried was really good! I ordered a Build Your Own Box. Chickpeas, noodles, curry potatoes, fried tofu, tomatoes, and teriyaki sauce. The smell was weird, but the flavor was amazing. I also grabbed the mac and cheese egg rolls. I recommend tossing them into your air fryer and then dipping them in your favorite cheese sauce!Mom got something called a katsu box, which she is still raving about days later!
