“Delicious food! I took my adults (offspring - can't bring myself to refer to them as children) here for a special dinner. Everyone was so happy with their meal. My son had the bento and enjoyed it all, daughter and hubby had the chef choice sushi flights and really enjoyed everything. I select pieces of sushi, sashimi and rolls that I wanted to try! Every bite was delicious, so good in fact that I added two pieces of the tuna belly sashimi to my hubby's take out order (final four game, you know priorities). Hot tea and miso soup to start, they have a nice selection of Japanese beers. Here's the thing, my kids both have shellfish allergies and additionally my daughter has egg and nut allergies too. Every thing came to the table perfectly, they adjusted their flight and bento accordingly. It's hard to eat out and trust no cross contamination but they've eaten there before without issue. This is huge for me. Great sushi, good service experience and care in food handling! It's a win, win, win!”

“This location opened earlier this year and is hidden enough you won’t be waiting 60 minutes for brunch on Sunday. The food was delicious; I ordered the Breakfast sandwich served w potatoes. Next time I’ll likely ask for the new potatoes to be well done since I prefer them crispier. My friend ordered the Chickichanga minus chorizo, also with new potatoes. The highlight of our a Sunday brunch was the service by Jill! She was a breath of fresh air; friendly, prompt service, attentive, and genuine. I’ll be back, and be sure to ask for Jill by name!”

“This was a great place. Definitely the German beer garden feel. We had a cheese platter and I ordered the schwein schnitzel with the red cabbage side. Really nice. Haven’t had a schnitzel in forever and this was worth it. Portion sizes were good - quality and quantity. I also got the Paulaner beer. Perfect compliment, rich beer. I recommend this place.”

“This place was the first place we went to for drinks. It had a speakeasy vibe to it with the low lighting. Their menu had a few drinks to choose from so we ordered the Marg, PCN, Cold Days In the Sun, and Feelin' Emotions. The drinks came out fairly quickly. The Marg was not bad, the Cold Days In the Sun was good and the Feelin' Emotions was tasty. It definitely was something I could see others try out too. The amount was not too much so it was good. Good place for drinks if you're in the area.”

“We just had a company event here on Saturday. The Clouds team was amazing as well as the food! They had great customer service and they were so accommodating and flexible. I've been working with Lexy Peterson to plan it. She and her GM were so easy and wonderful to work with! We had to make several changes, including last minute ones. It was a relief when they had no issues with accommodating our changes. I'm so thankful for the success of this event there! I know our company will be back for future events!”

“I always struggle to find restaurants that use adequate amounts of spice and flavor. Mateo, however, certainly didn't miss the mark, and every dish was extremely flavorful and decadent. I'm a vegetarian, and there were plenty of options for me, with the fried cauliflower special being my absolute favorite and unlike anything I expected from a cauliflower dish. I also had a beet dish with got cheese that was wonderful. You can't go wrong with their pan con tomate which is an excellent start to the meal. It's a shame I'm not from Durham, because I'd love to come back.”

“I had seen on Instagram someone making birria tacos. It looked so good I had to try it. I looked up the closest place that sold them. Taco Ardiente was closest to me. The service was pleasant they have a great food grade. The food will not disappoint. Its was so good and flavorful. I will definitely be going back. I loved it! I actually did not see the birria taco on the menu, but they do have it. It had a good crunch and comes with a sauce that you dip in. My son ordered the same. He loved it. My husband ordered just two steak tacos. He said it was delicious. ?”

The owners are very kind, fast responsive, super responsible, easy to understand, very generous and does absolutely amazingly tasty cakes ! The owner verified our pick up and had it ready in time! We ordered 2 tier Chocolate and strawberry birthday cake with decorations and it was delicious! It seems like a good balance between soft to eat and steady enough to transport cake! We eat it for 4 days and it was still good. Price wasn’t cheap but not the most expensive one either. One thing we know for next time is not to order fresh fruit filling because it is not fresh after one day, better jam filling instead or none. Thank you Sunflower bakery!”

“Without a doubt, Pincho Loco has some of the most delicious, flavor-packed ice cream and treats you’ll find not only in the city, but in the entire region! My go to is their Italian ice or their ice cream cake slice. Everything is delicious, fresh, and creamy (if it’s supposed to be), plus the prices are great for what you get. They have exceptional service as well. There are ice cream shops literally everywhere, but they rarely go beyond “eh, it’s good ice cream.” This place sets and tops the bar, then raises it some more! I try to make a stop any time I’m in Durham.”

“Everlou is my favorite downtown coffee shop for two reasons: the dogs and the staff. First, it's one of the few coffee shops that allow dogs inside the store. This has been seriously crucial when my power has gone out and I needed to get work done (and also want my dogs to be cool.) Also, they give away pup cups which my dogs love. Second, the staff goes above and beyond to get to know their customers. They remember your face and even when it gets busy I never feel rushed. Oh yeah, and the coffee is great too! The space inside is small and can get crowded so just know you may need to bring a long charging cord.”

“Everything! Atmosphere, food, drinks, service were all fantastic. It’s hard to believe that is the same space we spent so much time in from 2005 until Tyler’s closed - it looks beautiful! The fountain outside also gives it that perfect New Orleans feel. We were there to celebrate the 27th anniversary of meeting at Pat O’Brien’s , and our server comped us a dessert! The raviolis were overcooked to the point they were browned on top and parts of the pasta tough. As we were on a tight schedule I did not send the meal back. I was given a dish of extra sauce so I believe they knew the dish wasn’t up to par. The service, as always, was impeccable. I will go back but, after several great hits, today was a miss.”

The ambiance was very modern and sophisticated while also a bit eclectic with animal models all over the walls and ceiling. We ordered raw oysters and a plate of crackers to start. I ordered the Rigatoni alla vodka which was delicious with a generous amount of seafood. We ended the meal with an ice cream sandwich with caramel popcorn which was very refreshing. Everything was delicious! The service was very good. The place is a little noisy, so don’t go expecting to have long quiet conversations. Make use of the call ahead seating as the waitlist can be long. Definitely going back!”

“I had the bulgogi chicken sandwich and that was the best thing ever happened to me in a while. The right amount of sauce and just juice chicken! The way they made their fries was also great! The wings were very mediocre, however. The vibe was great so I was very surprised that the place was not busy at all on a Friday evening.”
