“If you ever need a sub for a party, In & Out have just the sub for you. We bought an Italian three-foot sub yesterday for a group get together and it was a big hit it was cut into eighteen pieces. We even had a few pieces left over and it was Yummy!”

“Williamsburg Area Bicyclists in town for Cycle NC Coastal Ride. Had a group dinner for 30 people. They accommodated us and did a FANTASTIC job. Food was terrific and served very quickly. All the staff did a great job. Thank you!”

“We had lunch for the first time today at Mi Cancún and it was amazing! We were a group of four and shared nachos as our appetizer. The nachos were delicious! I have no idea how they keep the chips crispy with all of the toppings but they were perfectly crunchy! 🙌 I had the Chori Steak Street Tacos and they were seriously the best tacos I have had in Elizabeth City. My husband had the Fajita Steak Burrito and loved it! Our server was very attentive and checked on us frequently throughout our meal, which was greatly appreciated. I would recommend definitely Mi Cancún to anyone that has not tried it, you will not be disappointed!”

“Fresh, Fresh, Fresh! I just stopped for a late lunch and ordered the Heirloom tomato and steak salad weekly special. Everything including basil, buratta and the local heirloom tomatoes were so flavorful and the steak was perfectly cooked. The chimichurri was the perfect combination to this seasonal salad. It’s so nice to enjoy such amazing food right here in Downtown Elizabeth City where I live-Hoppin John’s is always the greatest place for southern food and hospitality!! “Had an awesome experience at this spot! Hannah was absolutely fantastic—super attentive and friendly. The theme is definitely unique, but once you hear the family history behind it, it all makes sense and adds to the charm. One of the cooks (Keenan) even came out to check on us and shared that many of the recipes come straight from the owners’ mother and grandmother, which explains why the sauces (made in-house!) tasted so fresh and authentic.”

“I got the urge to come here for the cappuccino cooler. It certainly was hot enough for it. I remember when this place was cash-only; so I'm glad to see they updated their systems. I give the cooler a solid 5 out of 10. Not that strong of a coffee flavor, but that's fine seeing as this place is known for the ice cream. Which I have had in a dish and a blizzard. The staff is nice as well.”

“Great food but the cashier at 11:45 this morning as soon as I put a line through the tip changed her attitude completely. And here’s the thing if I’m dining in I’m gonna tip very well, but if I am just literally ordering food and going I personally don’t always tip unless the service I’m provided is above and beyond but her switch and attitude because she wasn’t getting a tip that doesn’t even fully go to her was insane. I was polite to her ;had a normal customer interaction. She had brown hair had some make up on she was I want to say about 5 foot wearing a gray shirt.”

“To begin: I am Sicilian and I'm from New Jersey. In reading prior reviews, I will agree that the pasta was not cooked properly even though it was hand-made. I don't know if the pasta itself was the problem, but it was sticking together and was difficult to eat. That said, The tomato sauce was excellent. The eggplant parmesan was incredibly delicious. My husband had the lasagna, my brother had the chicken marsala and my sister-in-law had the meatballs....all delicious. We finished with the zeppole. Honestly, the best zeppole I've ever had. All in all, a wonderful meal, and next time I visit the area, I plan to return!”

“Found this great place on Google maps on our first visit to Elizabeth City. We loved it! Staff was so nice and friendly. Service was great Food was just the appropriate amount so we didn’t feel overstuffed. The iced tea was delicious as was the turkey Reuben and Caesar wrap. Prices were just right and it’s nice you get a bag of chips with the sandwiches. So glad we found this restaurant. We will definitely come back again.”

“After seeing some bad reviews I figured I see for my self. With other places in town not good at all I was very hopeful this place was good. It did not disappoint. We ordered multiple different things and they all were perfect. Placing the order over the phone was easy. Check out was done by I assume the owners child but she was super pleasant and knowledgeable.”

“Enjoyed lunch catered for 30-40 people and the food was amazing! The ribs were my favorite, very smokey and meaty.
The only disappointment was I hadn't stopped in years ago to enjoy their food. Lesson learned.”
