“I love this local coffee destination!! It has such personality and uniqueness! I love the specialty drinks that you can only find here AND they have gluten-free baked goods (I highly recommend the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffin). The chai latte is delish as well. I wish there were some more privacy seating for those who want to get some work done or those who want to meet a friend and chat … the seating is all in one open room, cozy feeling but open.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free baked goods ??”
“Fun ice cream shop, we came twice on our week-long trip to the area. Some hit or miss flavors - not sure if it was just a bad scoop but we had some with mix-ins that ended up just tasting like vanilla. The lavender and lemon blueberry flavors were our favorite. We loved the fun color changing spoons (this was possibly a major factor in the trip back, my husband and I are pretty easily entertained). Service was great and friendly even though we got there late.”
“Brewskies... What can I say about Brewskies.Well the one fact I can share that should speak the loudest for itself is that I am there atleast 3 days a week; and so are most other people you'll find haunting the building.I'm reminded of the old Howard sentiment- The people that love it, the people that hate it and the people that just don't care all come back for the same reason .... they can't wait to see what happens next.So go find out with the rest of em!!!•Daily Drink Specials•Open Mic MOST Monday's•Free Pool Every Thursday•Karaoke Every Friday•OPEN Pool Tournament Every Saturday•"The Backyard" - Outdoor Seating/Smoking Area with Cornhole and horseshoes (bring your own bags/shoes), Firepit, Picknick Tables, Dog Friendly, FREE Access To Local Sunshine and Breeze(Secret Locals Hack - Alishia (The Bartender) If she's working you're gonna have a hard time leaving and you WILL be back cause everything is gucchi when she's slinging brewskies)Vegetarian options: Un-likely to suit any dietary needs... deep fried hotpockets, corn dogs, chicken strips and mozzarella sticks... I don't think anything in the building goes without dead animal parts involved. We apologize in advance to our furry friends... for being so delicious.Dietary restrictions: Again, Un-likely to suit any dietary needs... deep fried hotpockets, corn dogs, chicken strips and mozzarella sticks.Parking: Even if our relatively large lot is full the fire department across the street has plenty of open, safe parking. Never heard of anyone leaving because they couldn't find a place to stick their vehicle.Kid-friendliness: "Kids" as-in 17-20 are allowed until 9pm ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR SIBLING. If you just turned 21 please don't bring 10 underage friends and expect to be allowed to run the property all night long; this is an exception made for family members or those participating in tournament activities.Wheelchair accessibility: Property is all ground level, wheelchair accessible & ADA Compliant - Outdoor Area is suitable with minimal assistance.”
“This place was cool for everyone. Lots of activities for the whole family. They operate out of an old train car. All the details of this place were well done. I like the ode to a little disc golf. I am only giving four stars because the one beer I had time for I didn’t really like. Could be my fault but that was the only sample I had.”
“Fantastic experience all around, our family of 7 loved everything we tried and the staff was friendly, efficient and fast! Will definitely be our new go-to for BBQ ”
“Ive lived and traveled all over the world. Have eaten in tons of 5 star restaurants just saying this Chicken Marsalis is by far the best comfort food Ive here in Asheville . So good, thanks for being amazing!”
“Always call in takes about 10 minutes to get a pizza. Or you can walk in. You can get all the toppings you want and double toppings the thin crust is the best and they do an excellent job there. I definitely would try $10 for a pizza with everything that you want on it. It's the same price one topping or 10”
“I'm giving 5 stars for the service because we didn't want for anything but the person did have the personality of a fencepost. The food, however, was crazy good! I had the shrimp and grits and it was one of the best breakfast dishes I've had in years. My Sister had the Southern Benny and and also raved about it. Really, really flavorful and perfectly cooked. The complimentary beignet beginner was a nice touch, too.”
“Today was our first time at Turgua. I rarely contribute to social media review, but this place is amazingly good. Uniquely inspired and very well executed brew. Spacious outback along the river make this place a must visit. We will be back often.”
“-Cashier was kind and very patient, as she had to manually type in my card details for the payment, as my card’s magnetic strip wasn’t working.-Food was great, as always! Usually get the chili cheese dog and cheese fries.???-Seems like they stay busy, although I’ve never have to wait more than a few minutes, on my food.”
“Important note: this spot is TAKEOUT ONLY. Order in advance (pay over phone) before heading that way. We were hesitant to order from here because the reviewers were off... but we had a great experience & great customer service. Loved the pizza. It wasn't greasy. We also got the garlic knots which I loved. We also got the Philly cheese which I didn't try, but it was a beefy sandwich! Would order again.”
“Fantastic food and excellent people! One of the few places near Asheville that has cheaper food that is still very fresh and reminiscent of my favorite childhood ”
“Sometimes I feel bad because I think I rate businesses too harshly, like maybe I just expect too much. Then I come to places like this and I see what a 5-star rating restaurant truly looks like.Everything was amazing. Our server was on top of things, continually filling our waters and we never ran low. Our food was delivered quick and fully correct. I ordered the crispy chicken, and, while I'm not a fan of collards (my wife loved them), it was one of the best meals I've had. The presentation was incredible and truly a 5-star dining experience. They don't have a kids menu, but since we really wanted to come here, we called ahead and they graciously said they can make something work. Our girls ordered chicken tenders and fries and they said it was the best (direct quote) chicken tenders they've ever gotten! I can't give this place higher praise than that.Richard, the owner, stopped by our table at the end of our meal and we had a great conversation about their story, their travels, and what led them to open this place that used to be a run-down gas station. This place is the definition of 'excellence' that so many restaurants promise but fail to live up to. I can't wait to come here again!Kid-friendliness: No kids menu, but they can work with you to make something work”
“Love the Meadows area. It did feel like a daycare center on Friday afternoon. Moved over to watch volleyball to avoid the hoard of kids. Beer was nice. Had some small batch IPA that was nice. Really wish they would open up the roof deck to us instead of events only.”
“Another outstanding culinary experience! Thank you for fitting us in yesterday on our way home from SAFF (Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair) we brought our dear friends who were celebrating their anniversary. We had some small plates then scallops, burgers, and schnitzel. Just fabulous. Thank you for a perfect end to a wonderful day spent with great friends. Happy to share such a dining gem.”
“This place is genuinely one of my favorite places to eat in Asheville. The fries are authentic and superb, the chicken and fish are absolute perfection. The vibes are immaculate and the restaurant interior is very much reminiscent of a Belgian frituur. Highly recommend.”
“The food was very tasty and the drinks were strong and not over priced. I loved the open and clean atmosphere. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I was happy all around.”
“I was born and raised and Florida and moved to nc about 3 years ago. I'm half Cuban and i have been trying to find a Cuban place here that is close to what i grew up eating in Orlando and Miami. Look no further guys. This place is the real deal! Real Cuban owner. Authentic Cuban food and wonderful atmosphere. I absolutely LOVE it and it reminds me of the Cuban food i ate growing up. Please please give this place a try. 10/10 would always recommend”
“My new favorite Asheville brewery! Gorgeous space, tons of outdoor seating in front and back (along the creek) and SUPER delicious food. Really friendly staff and on overall upbeat vibe”
“Went inside for the first time today and it was fantastic. The service was fantastic and the food was so good and affordable. They have lunch specials, which is perfect for me and my kids. We will definitely be returning again soon.”
“We had a great time celebrating my husband’s birthday tonight with our favorite wing flavors. Amber was so sweet and helpful! Always asking us if we needed anything. Love coming here!!”
“Wow! Coming from Miami, I can attest to the authenticity of this Cuban food spot. Delicious and delightful!! So glad we found this authentic gem! Definitely coming back for my local Cuban fix.”
“We had a wonderful experience at Fahrenheit Pizza. We brought some family with us from out of town. We had pizza, garlic knots and even tried their cannolis! The food was all very delicious, especially the pizza. And the staff were all very kind and inviting, especially Conrad. (He was the one that sold us on the cannolis) As a pizza snob, this place has inched its way into my top 3 pizza places in Asheville. Cheers!”
“Visited Asheville for a few days and I ate at this location twice. Once to dine in and the other was carry out.The service and engagement from the staff was great! It seemed like a place that gave permission for their staff to be themselves, while focusing on the customers experience. We felt comfortable and at home.We got there before a line formed. It seems to come in waves. We were there mid week around 6:30p. Nevertheless, we ordered our food, got seated and the food began to come out as it was ready. The good was very good. I tried the chicken and waffles to play it safe initially. The waffles, eaten immediately while hot was the best way to go for me. Very tasty. The chicken was also pretty good and flavorful. Well seasoned. Not just that seasoning on the outside but not on the inside foolery. I could’ve done with a little less breading but still good. I went with the chicken fingers type pieces to last on top the waffles. The sides. Maaaaaaaaan!!!!Loved the sweet potato, corn casserole and Mac & cheese. Loved em! Ordered them twice.Enjoy the spot! It’s worth the visit. .”
“My go-to is the ice cream sandwiches! The balance of the cookies and the ice cream is perfect and you can take it to go as well without mess! I love the mission and I love the ice cream! Everyone is so nice and welcoming here. I will always be a customer!”
“Stopped here on a road trip and didn’t want to leave. Chuck, the owner, is a delight and an insanely talented artist. We had a nice chat while he prepared our lattes (which were some of the best we’d ever had), and what a delight! I’d be a regular if I didn’t live on the wrong coast.”
“Recommended by Scott at Weinhaus/Asheville- and we loved it! The entire staff was so gracious and attentive. The moule frites and steak frites were perfectly cooked and predented correctly. We cannot compare this to a better one, because we haven't found better than this. I loved watching the pétanque league play. We'll share our lucky find with our friends; when we move here later this year this place is our top destination.”
“Been dining with Terisa and her family since they opened. The quality of the food is always superb -- especially the many dish and dipping sauces. Service is always very friendly and attentive. Best House Margarita in town! Impressive sports bar. Even the chairs are works of art -- hand painted wood carvings and metal imprints of primitive scenes throughout. We've frequented all the local TexMex venues for 30 years. Orale's Bar & Grill is the stand-out best in Asheville.”
“Chaunie’s is absolutely the best place to go for coffee! I’m a daily regular that can’t get enough of the coffees and tacos. My personal favorites are the cold brew with salted caramel and house made oat milk, hot mocha, caramel lattes, and tacos. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Such a wonderful sandwich shop in Fairview. Relatively new ownership and they make the best sandwiches in town! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They make each sandwich with love and dedication. If you want subway tier food and service then this is not the place for you. They even started opening for breakfast recently. Warning: the cinnamon buns are very addictive. If you live in Fairview then you know how great this place is. If you live in Asheville, Arden, Gerton or any of the surrounding areas, it's well worth the drive out here. You will not be let down! (Oh and the prices are great as well.)”
