“Demetries and Sam have a fantastic restaurant where the food was so fantastic and healthy as we were traveling north on 95. My husband had the chicken stir fry and I had the shrimp stir fry. So delicious and very friendly people. Go there and enjoy!”

“Ima be straight up with you. If you can’t make it to this particular Hardees In Gaston NC, it’s best you go home and cook. I have yet to find another Hardees that can match this one. I get food from here, it’s how it’s suppose to be. I go to other Hardee’s and the food is cold and taste like it was cooked before I arrived. I’m typing this review right now from a Hardees in Rocky Mount NC wishing I was In Gaston where my meal would have been correct. I tell them I want hot fries and they cook them Hot with no hesitation. I can’t explain why they can always get it right and EVERY other Hardee’s is garbage.”

“Went to your location in Gaston on 46. Probably the cleanest subway I've seen, the staff were absolutely perfect quick and super friendly and the sandwich was insanely good...it's been more than two decades since I've been to a subway this good. “Great diner. Clean environment, friendly staff. Jessica was attentive without being obnoxious. Everyone greeted upon entering. "Home cooking" menu items from a bologna sandwich to hamburger steak and gravy and everything in between. Fried gizzard, livers, chicken. Sandwiches, salads. My guy ordered hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, and fried okra. Me, fried flounder sandwich, cheesy potatoes, onion rings. Homemade dressings, come on! Excellent ranch for dipping. Everything was excellent. My grandma would approve. Pineapple cake to finish. Large enough to share. Yum. Unsweetened iced tea is excellent. They leave a pitcher to refill your own. Best stop if you're traveling I-95!”

“The food leaves a lot to be desired, I know it's a bowling alley/arcade and bar, but it's also in NC, some southern flavors would be easy to incorporate. That said, I'm surprised I didn't know about this place before this year. The bartenders were great, lots of TV's for sports watching and the bowling alley/arcade is awesome. The decor is also tons of fun and their outdoor space/stage is great. Will definitely be back!”

That was PLENTY of food for the two of us, and we took home about half the cornbread.The fried chicken skin isn't just skin, it has thigh meat on it also, so it's almost like flat chicken nuggets. And the sauce they come with is sort of a sweet chili garlic sauce. Stop reading this and order it!The cornbread... Oh my. It was like your grandma made, but probably better (sorry nana), and comes in a little cast iron pan! It's easily enough for 3-4 people to have a nice slice, or for 2 people to get nasty. ?I normally never order brisket in a restaurant, since it tends to be kinda dry, but not here! It was super juicy and not over seasoned, either.We subbed the mac and cheese for the waffle sweet potato fries and that was absolutely the right call. Those things are SICK. So fluffy and light. Not heavy or starchy like some I've had. Did I mention they come with caramel sauce?!The fried cabbage was a surprise. It was a little spicy, which was awesome. It also had bacon in it, which is never wrong. ?It's pretty rare for every single element of a meal to be outstanding, but that was the case here. Even the prices were beyond reasonable.I don't leave reviews often, unless a place is really great, or truly horrible. V's is one of the great ones! I just wish I lived closer. “Best hotdogs around !!Stopped by today and got a couple of hotdogs and BBQ sandwich, also Navy beans and sweet tea. I like to get mine lightly dressed to cut down on the sogginess and to bring out the hotdog taste. The Navy beans come with either rolls or a side of hush puppies, who doesn't like hush puppies, they were great. The jumbo sweet tea is homemade to perfection. Service is quick and accurate, the staff is friendly and helpful,and the prices can't be beat. You can tell that whomever is back there cooking the food loves what they do, you can taste it in every bite. I plan on going back soon to try one of the blue plate specials and the delicious looking pie.”

“The young woman who took my order tonight was very nice and friendly. The pizza was delicious and my husband really enjoyed his buffalo wings. “Excellent food, service and price. Only about 1 1/2 miles off 95. We got in and out in 45 minutes and back on the road. Prices are like years ago. Great lunch specials. Good portions. I had a Chile relleno, taco. Beans and quac salad for $8.50. my husband had a steak fajita burrito with very generous portion of steak and Mexican. Rice for $8.50. There were other good options for $6.99. It's not the fanciest looking inside or out but if you want a quick, good. Affordable meal this place is a good choice.”

“Their burgers are very good, and I love their chilli hot dogs covered with onions. It is one of the few places in this area that has raspberry tea in their fountain drinks. Raspberry tea is in all the food places in CA, but as you drive east, the further you go, the less raspberry tea you can find being served. Very clean place and the employees were all nice. There is a drive through and also plenty of parking spots. Right on hwy 158 and lots of other places to eat all the way down this stretch of hwy through Roanoke Rapids, NC.”
