This place took me back to the diners I loved to eat at in Mt. Airy (the real Mayberry) of my childhood. The menu is simple and I enjoyed my two hotdogs and hot chips. My children enjoyed their super affordable chicken nuggets and mini corn dog meals! The best part of the meal was the ice cream sundaes that came with the kids meals. Some people say in their reciew that this place is retro decorated. Not really. It is just stuck in time. It probably hasn't had a face-lift since it opened. The walls are decorated with pictures of pastimes, which is not a back thing.The food was okay. I had the hamburger with jalapeños and pepper jack cheese. The food is not consistent from week to week. Not sure what you are getting and how you get it. The service is par. If the kids working would not stand and socialize with one another and check on their customers it would make the experience better. Out of the six servers/cashier working the noise was unacceptable. Management needs to look at the cameras and make some changes. If they have time to lean and talk they could be cleaning.
