“OK, had to write this review because of the coffee! The BK in Lenoir sells diluted coffee (as does the McDonalds), so I would buy my coffee next door at the Wendy's.This morning, however, we decided to use a breakfast coupon that included sandwiches, fries and a large cup of coffee. I already had a tea from home, and never opened the coffee to put in the cream and sugar figuring it was likely the diluted stuff they pass out in Lenoir.When I got to my destination outside of Charlotte, I left the coffee in the truck and went about my business completing several tasks before running out of tea. I decided to try the coffee.It was still somewhat warm, but I had a microwaver, so 'no sweat.' I opened the container and it was BLACK COFFEE! It took three creamers and as many sugars and would make Starbucks proud!I had my wife take a taste - because I was surprised. She was as well. It's out of the way most times, but it's going to be my Southbound breakfast stop as long as they have serious coffee!I gave the service and 'atmosphere' fewer stars 'cause I think they were short handed and a bit abrupt and the atmosphere was a drive-up lane - how many stars can you give a drive-up lane?“
“Amazing little hole in the wall diner. Great food and selection of items. I always get the livermush, egg, and cheese with the livermush cooked crispy. And it's ALWAYS cooked to perfection. The employees are super friendly and helpful. They have limited hours and are only open for breakfast and lunch, so keep that in mind when you're wanting to order from here. The parking lot is small so just keep that in mind when coming here to eat. They don't have indoor dining, but they have a table or 2 outside to sit at and eat. This is a must try restaurant when you're in Hickory. Make sure to get napkins when you pick up your order because sometimes the sandwiches can get a little messy, but those are the best kinds to eat. Prices are outrageous like other places. I give this place a 10/10!!“

“The food was very good, not 20 bucks good. The salad bar was bare to begin with, got better after I was finished though. Service was great. Jace done a very good job keeping check on us. They were slow, but he seemed friendly enough. I didn't once run out of drink.“
“We have eaten here many times and always great food and service. Today my husband and I had the classic burger with onion rings. It was delicious! One of the best burgers we have ever had. Service and atmosphere were excellent. This restaurant has become our favorite in Valdese, and we will be back. We highly recommend it.“
“If you have never been here, please check this place out! The food is excellent. If you want something similar to a home cooked meal, this is the place to go. The staff are super friendly, one of the staff members gave my son two quarters for the candy machine. That small gesture made his entire day. Little things like that keep customers coming back. “It was pouring rain on our visit so the awning was a definite help. There's a large menu with lots of choices. We got a hot fudge brownie Sunday I'm not sure if that's what they call it but it was so good. Also in my family we got a regular vanilla cone which was devoured and a Oreo brownie sundae and that was also a big hit. Would highly recommend and we'll be visiting again.“
“While I didn't get a chance to take any pictures. I was here January 6th 2024.I ordered green fried tomatoes and I must say they were delicious. Fresh crispy even the breading was crispy not soggy and it actually full of flavor.I ordered something with chicken must have not been very eventful in my mouth for me not to remember. This place does get a little busy on the weekends so plan ahead and call in if you don't plan on sitting in a great part of our big small area keep doing great!“

“Heard this place was under new management so I thought I’d check them out. Lori took very good care of me. She was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant in general.
