“I haven't been to a captain d's in many years. I had an unpleasant experience at one and couldn't go back. I was so wonderfully surprised at t this place. The did was fresh tasting and hot. We had the senior plate, and that was enough for us and a good bargain. The crew was very nice and the dining room was clean and comfortable.“

“You may wait longer in this drive through than anywhere else - because your food hasn't been sitting under warming lights. They don't cook much ahead, so your order is fresh. My favorite is their monster burger and onion rings with a peach shake. This is a local treasure.“

“It was our first visit to the angus steakhouse in hickory, nc. It was the best dine in experience we have EVER encountered. It felt like a true small town steakhouse. The staff were super friendly, they came around frequently talking to each table. You can tell they truly enjoy their job and the customers. The food was quick to come out and so fresh. “Thus place was so unique the kids and adults loved it! The waitress came back 4 times to check on us we alwayse had refills and the food came out fast and hot. For four of us to eat three of which were regular adult meals and one kids meal was 60.00 very reasonable for the quality of food and portions you get. If you get a chance to go get the potatoe salad it's homemade and delicious. Thank you for the wonderful experience.“

They have the best hush puppies in the area and the portions have always been good. We have always thought it was a good value for the money all things considered until COVID. Prices have increased to the point that it's not a really a deal anymore. Unfortunately it has become a place that we will visit only on a rare occasion.“

“While I didn't get a chance to take any pictures. I was here January 6th 2024.I ordered green fried tomatoes and I must say they were delicious. Fresh crispy even the breading was crispy not soggy and it actually full of flavor.I ordered something with chicken must have not been very eventful in my mouth for me not to remember. LOL I do remember those delicious green fried tomatoes thoughVery reasonable priced nice service cozy atmosphere. “Our cousin brought us here for lunch after a morning of shopping. There were 9 of us with 4 of those being kids. I wasn't sure how this would go. We were seated outside downstairs, and there were plenty of things to keep the kids occupied while waiting on the food. The best part was that the kids' food came out first!!! That is a huge thing for parents of young children. After they finished eating, they again played while the adults finished and could easily see the kids playing. Our server was fabulous as well as the food! As an out of towner, I would definitely recommend stopping by.“

“Great little local feel good burger / dog joint with a wide variety of tasty treats. I had the 1/4 lb hotdogs combo and it was a great meal. I got it all over me. So by true southern standards, it had to be great if you judge the food quality to the mess you make on your shirt while eating it. I needed a bib.“

“We go here weekly. It's always a pleasure. The salads are the best!! They've got daily specials. If you love extra cheese, then you'll love their pizzas. We call ahead & they know who we are when we come!!! Love the rewards cards, too! Order 10 sub or pizza combos & get 1 free. It adds up.
