“My husband and I were together long before we finally tied the knot. Whenever we talked about our wedding dreams, it always included the statement, “I want Saltbox to cater the wedding”. When it came time to book our caterer, we knew walking into the tasting that this decision would be as easy as it was delicious. What became a favorite date-night spot, will now always have a forever memory in our hearts because of what Amanda and Randolph, and their entire staff, worked to deliver for us. If you’ve never had an opportunity to experience the creativity, flavor and love that goes into Saltbox’s food, then I strongly urge you to check that off your to-do list. If you’re on the wedding planning journey and searching for a catering company, this should be your first and last stop. Amanda and Randolph were extremely responsive and open to the entire vision we had for our Viking-themed wedding…an evening feast fit for a Viking King. Our goal was to build a seasonal, yet varied cuisine menu that celebrated the local seafood and nuances of Outer Banks and would leave our guests talking about this dinner for years to come. From the detail that was put into our hors d’oeuvres, through the flavorful and perfectly executed plated dinner service, ending with the most decadent spread of desserts/hot chocolate bar (best in OBX of course), we were beyond impressed with every single bite we ate that evening. Additionally, Saltbox provided the best bartenders who executed our fun “his and hers” cocktails and (2) full bars with ease and smiles. We are still receiving endless compliments about how amazing the cocktails were. From Saltbox’s attentiveness during the planning process, to a detailed site visit to review the kitchen/service needs, to a well-executed plating set-up, to each staff member’s warm and professional service style throughout the evening of our event, I would recommend again and again their catering services. The execution, timing and presentation was impeccable – but most importantly, their entire team was such a delight to have in and out of the kitchen as they truly delivered the best feast we’ve ever had. From a professional perspective, I am also a career Event Planner, working to organize events from weddings to high-end galas nationwide – this was hands down the best quality and executed event service I’ve seen in a career of 15+ years.”

“Decided to stop by for dinner this evening,walked in and were greeted and seated promptly. The food here is outstanding! The Mahi Mahi and Blackened Salmon wraps were full of flavor and the side of chips with fresh pico de gallo really compliments it well. The nachos were piled high with toppings,and the chicken wings were some of the best I’ve ever eaten. We will definitely come back whenever we come to OBX.”

“Easter breakfast was our first time at Henry's. It was by far one of the best breakfast experiences we've had. From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel like family. Christina couldn't have been more accommodating...making sure everything was to our liking, without being overbearing. And it was the little things that mattered. May sound silly to most, but having syrup on the table for your flapjacks...when ordering hot tea, they bring you a cup of hot water, a tea bag, PLUS a silver container of hot water to place your "used" tea bag in, should you desire another cup of tea. Also, creamer was right on the table. The menu even made sense...build your own omelet.....you pay for what you want! It seemed like all the Employees chipped in. I never saw anyone just standing around. We will certainly be back, and refer folks we know to Henry's. Thank you.”

“I’ve been going to Beach Road Bottle since it opened. I’m a Homebrewer and enjoy my beer, but for a change of pace I like to go to Beach Bottle because of their wide selection on tap and they have a great selection of 6 packs for take out that you will not find at other places on the beach. And if you’re hungry,Ten 0 six is right next and has great food. My wife and I go there once a week for dinner and a beer. They also have a great selection of wines to drink there and to take home.”

Dietary restrictions: There are nuts there and they have gluten. As far as dietary restrictions they don't have a lot of choices it's cheeseburgers and fries.

“I want to commend the staff and management. Tonight I sat for a while waiting for my pizza and although it had been a very long day and it seemed like I constantly was being held up trying to get home, these workers were great. They were very friendly and kept their composure like they always do when I am in there and witness the impatient and rude behavior of others. Especially a group that seemed to think that just because there was 1 table there that it meant it was a sit down restaurant that should have been at their beck and call. Clearly allot of people get pizza there every night so it is hard to keep their warmer full. Personally I prefer getting it nice and hot:) Even with the rude mutterings not so quietly thrown their way they remained friendly and were constantly working and pleasant. So yet again I commend them and I am thankful for the military service of the owner and am glad they are able to post it proudly on their window.”

Very well coordinated and quick with everything from drink refills to food service, its was impressive to watch and they were all lovely people Shoutout to Kaitlin (if I spelled it right lol) Very clean restaurant with everything from the condition of the tables and chairs to the cleanliness of the bathrooms.
