Bone in pork chop fabulous and duck breast a WOW! Both mains complemented by delicious sides and cooked to perfection. Bluejay Bistro is our go to place when at Lake Gaston.“

“Everything about this place was amazing. Ms. Johnell took our order and described everything perfectly. We had the pig wings (bbq chicken wings) and they were some of the best juicy, flavorful wings I’ve ever had. The potato salad AMAZING. The cole slaw AMAZING. The turkey stew was hearty and full of veggies and shredded turkey meat and the gravy was delicious. The turkey bbq and the pork bbq was out of this world. If you want something sweet you HAVE to try the hummingbird cake 10/10. We had banana pudding that compared to none and sweet potato pie. The price for the food makes you feel bad because it’s so affordable and you get a good amount of food with your order. I would advise you to call and order ahead as the wait can be an little long but well worth it.Over all this place is a 10/10 and the service sets it over the top I wish we could give 6 stars. Ms. Johnell was EVERYTHING.Parking: There’s a parking lot right next to the restaurant with at least 15 spots and there’s street parking right in front all for free.“

“I live 5 minutes from this restaurant since 06/10/2023 and have come to The Pointe during peak season. It were ok at that time. People complain about the price but seafood especially on a water view restaurant isn’t cheap. Not anywhere in the entire country. Please name a decent place if I’m wrong. Today 12/08/2023 at 8:45pm exactly my brother and I had ordered The Pointe Tacos and the Chimichanga Steak Wrap knowing it were 15 minutes before they were about to close the kitchen and probably had already cleaned everything, both meals were exceptionally good. I thank the chef at that exact date and time. I apologize that we came in so late but both of those meals proved that you put your effort into them. Your chef needs a raise!“

“From 4/20/24Drove from Richmond to enjoy some lunch and music.My only complaint is with prices. Now of course it depends on what you order, but $10 for a 12oz beer in a clear solo cup is high. Our lunch total was over $100. A pizza is $15, a sandwich cost varies but my wife had a sandwich that was $23.Staff was excellent. We sat at the bar and our bartender ( Hannah) was awesome . The music by Ray Martin was excellent. The atmosphere is great being right on Lake Gaston. And the locals we met there were rather friendly and offered fun conversations.Enjoyed the experience but at these prices, it will not be often.“
