“Eating at Pop's is a place that makes you want to go back very often!! The food is out of this world good!! The staff is very friendly and is another reason to enjoy your dining experience. So do yourself a favor and plan a night out in Catawba, NC. With two other places, the junction and the cedar stump, within walking distance (only a block away) that have live music on Friday and Saturday nights, a destination you won't regret!! “This is easily the best food I've had in the Newton area. I tried the "officer Burger" which is a burger topped with AWOL Cajun seasoning (their own blend?) Bacon House made pimento cheese and a honey sauce. This burger played so well together! The sweetness from the honey cuts what richness the pimento cheese has to offer in the best way possible! Cajun seasoning is not overwhelming or too spicy either! All that goodness is between a nice soft brioche bun, what could be better!? An absolute must try! The fries were giving off some serious "rally" vibes, unfortunately my fries were room temperature. But my waitress was sure to ask if I'd like them re cooked. Overall I'd not only suggest this place, but I'll be going back myself! Their menu is packed full of delicious looking items. And while I was there I found out that a portion of the profits go to help veterans!!Kid-friendliness: My 5 year old got the burger and fries and absolutely loved it! Great portion sizes too!“

“Gail was wonderful. She was friendly and always made sure we had what we needed. There's three pool tables. Even though I didn't order any food, the price is reasonable. Three dollars a bottle of beer is pretty cheap. Also, have tap beer where they rotate out to different brand depending on the days. Overall, we had a great time.“

“Came here on a Wednesday for wing night special. I had part teriyaki and part buffalo wings. Service was good and the wings were delicious. Also they had a DJ and we played music bingo. My son won a hat and a 10.00 gift card. Most likely will go back!Parking: Very little street parking. We parked in the back in a dark lot and came in the back door. Back door you walk by the grease trap and the stuff you usually don’t see at a restaurant. I felt it was not ideal.Kid-friendliness: Kids seemed very welcome here. Had food for kids as well.“

“Love this spot! In non Covid times they have great bands and cheap drinks! Theirs pool tables and snacks and pool leagues and karaoke as well. Their hours have changed and Covid is trying to consume them but go grab a cheap Bev on the weekends and let's keep this wonderful place alive!“

“Stopped in for a late lunch today. And man was the whole experience great! First of all the decor is cool with motorcycles etc. Niw let’s talk about the menu…. So many options! We opted for the buffalo chicken sandwich. I got the chicken with the honey chipotle sauce and he got the garlic Parmesan sauce! And wow, both were delicious! The food was well presented and the flavor was on point! They have a great beer selection especially for the price! Daily food specials and drink specials. The atmosphere is fun, with a lot of locals. We had a great time talking with the locals at the bar. Our bar tender Mai was absolutely fabulous! She was friendly and very efficient! She was constantly checking on us and we never went without a drink! Restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms. Highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back when we are passing thru again!“
