“I am ashamed to say I’m a Matthews native and still live here and I literally had NO clue this was a restaurant lol. But in any case now that I know, best believe me I will be back. The outside is the small town charm of Matthews, but the inside is modern big city vibes. It is absolutely beautiful in there. Service was great and food and drinks amazing. I went on a Tuesday with a huge group of Facebook Group friends and we had a ball. We got the whole dining area reserved for us and in spite of a large crowd, the two waitresses were awesome. On Tuesdays cocktails are half off so I got the margarita and it was delish.For food I got the truffle fries and short rib sliders. Both were phenomenal! I couldn’t even eat it all lol because even though small plates, I felt they both were filling. This place is great for a date night, hanging with the girls or even going solo to hang out at the bar. I can’t wait to get back! Only thing that could make this place better is some live acoustic music sometimes, it would set the ambience off even more. Spoke with the owner and he said they do cocktail classes as well, they don’t have them listed on the website but working on it, but said can email them for the info. I certainly will! lol“

“After a few days in the Queen City, we saved the best for last with a stop at Hawkers. Starving for fresh veggies, we filled up on spring rolls, shrimp summer rolls and the yummy Hawker’s Delight. (We did chow down on the Spiced Lamp skewers, which were a delight.) Our server Shannon kept the food coming hot with a big smile. Southern hospitality at its finest.“
“I’ve heard about Anju through some people that I follow on social media. They have only posted amazing picture and said great things about this place and I can confirm they’re on point with what they say. Charlotte needs a restaurant like Anju, bringing diversity, something new and executing delicious food and welcoming service! I treated myself to a solo dinner and it was exactly what I needed. David, my bartender, guided me through the menu with both food and beverages. We made great conversation and it was just a great experience overall. “Very trendy, delicious, and busy spot. Basically reservation only. We reserved outdoor seating but it was a cold day and they squeezed us in inside. Food was artfully prepared. Small portions but sooo good. We tried the fries, curry mussels, Korean bbq, drinks, cheesecake, cappuccino, and Larry's Buns. Very loud environment too, it was hard to hear ourselves talk. It's ok though, fits the vibe.“

“I come with a unique perspective since I was here for a generous work dinner, where the host literally ordered everything on the menu ($315). Since we weren't sure what we were getting, we didn't pace ourselves well and were completely stuffed such that we couldn't adequately finish. I did my service by trying a little bit of everything. While everything was tasty, space was open and flexible for both smaller and larger parties (we had a larger party upstairs), here's my ranking, starting from my faves: - deep fried pickles - scallops with corn - Mac n cheese - short ribs - pork belly - broccolini - string beans Service was just ok, not overly impressive - fried cauliflower“
“We tried out a small local spot called @buzzbeerwine in Wesley Chapel NC and it did not disappoint!It was great to be able to grab a draft beer and some food during the day and the bartender was super friendly. I loved how they even had wine bottles lining the walls and single cans in coolers as options.For food we ordered the crab dip (highly recommend) and warm pretzels with cheeseWesley Chapel was in need of a good spot to grab a beer and this will be our go to spot when we come back for the holidays!“
“We've come in here quite a few times for board games, live music, and for the food trucks and every time has been a great experience. They have coffee on tap (for us non beer drinkers that's amazzzinnggg) from Sugar Creek Brewing and it's really great. It's important to support those small local businesses!“
“Went with my daughter. I had an Old Fashioned and an arepa. Both were awesome!! Comfy ambiance with a great patio. My daughter had blonde ale and a canal and she raved and raved about the canal. I had a bite and it was fantastic. This is not your typical 'bar food'. Authentic!!!“

He even went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of and gave us recommendations to his favorite spots in town. Will absolutely request Nathan in the future. “We got here early but it became PACKED and extremely loud pretty quickly. We sat outside and it was lovely but I was surprised at how loud it got outside.The food was all incredible and I would recommend anything in there is probably going to be amazing. We got the asparagus, shrimp, whipped sheep cheese, Brussels sprouts, chicken thigh (it is only 1), patatas bravas, and chocolate cake. The cake was flourless so it was more so almost a pudding and kind of disappointing (the only thing that was not very good). The Guns & Roses sangria was very yummy too but very strong!The service was subpar. Our server barely made their way over to us and there were multiple times throughout the night that I saw other tables serving themselves from the servers station because of how little they came by. If not for the poor service I would have given them higher stars.“
“The Bohemian: A Wine Bar was an experience within itself. The lightly decorated establishment had works of art displayed for sale, mixed matched furniture, a outside seating area with shelter so you're able to enjoy the fresh air and people watch but not be crucified by the sun. The staff spoke to us immediately as soon as we walked through the door. She was pleasant and polite. Served us quickly. There were several selections of wine for purchase on the wall, but not so many on the menu provided to us. There are some meats/cheese and flatbreads that can be purchased here. Pricing wise, this establishment is a little cheaper than most places when buying a glass. The wine was served warm but wasn't too bad at all if you knew your wines. Personally, The Bohemian wasn't all my favorite out of all the wine bars within Charlotte. I can't discredit them because of my opinion. However, you can't pass it up for location convenience and the affordable for a glass of wine or two.“
