Best dining experience ever in the Morehead City/Atlantic Beach area. Food was delicious: a little bit southern and next level. Our waiter, Travis S., was outstanding and made sure we lacked nothing. One of the best and memorable servers I've ever encountered. Atmosphere is fine; it was a little cold inside and might be a little loud with a large party coming in, but the experience far outweighs any of that. It's a definite destination for good food.
We have dined at Floyd's several times while visiting the area and have always had a nice experience, good food and service. But, our visit last week, 3/14, was not what we expected. The food quality was sub-par, the shrimp size was far smaller than we have experienced in the past, the fish served with the fish and chips was under cooked and soggy inside and the shrimp and grits was bland. FLOYD'S is exceptional! We sat on the lovely patio warmed by a fire. Our server was personable, prompt, informative and efficient. We all enjoyed the food and wine. I had the appetizer of Shrimp Napoleon. It was a large serving of shrimp, grits and a yummy gravy.I would highly reccommend!
