“Little gem in a run down town. Traveling from Charlotte to Pinehurst and stopped in for a quick dinner off of the great Google reviews. Did not disappoint. We give 5 stars. We were originally concerned because the adjacent neighborhood is run down, but this place did not disappoint! Great staff. Fresh food and too many choices to decide. Will definitely be back on another time of traveling through.“

“This place is Awesome. If your Vegan; Vegetarian or an Omnivore like me. Everything is Fresh and made with care. The sandwiches are my favorite, but the Salads and Soups are great. The focacia bread is addictive and the desserts are the best. You won't be disappointed. “Almost like stepping into a time capsule/machine as you enter this Ma and Pa style Restaurant. From the "back in the day" style floors, the vintage decor and even the seating as well. Have a choice to sit in a booth or chairs at tables you may have to put a couple of playing cards under a leg to stabilize it. "Like the good Old Days". Even the food gives you the same old feeling. "A meal for two" size meals filled with flavorful home cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner! Delicious daily specials and BREAKFAST IS SERVED ALL DAY!!!! Allen's Restaurant is my family's first choice when we go out!!!“

“Food was overcooked, but service was fast, and the food was hot. Okra and fries were kind of soggy, except the extra order of okra that was in a separate container. It was fresh, hot, and delicious, and crunchy. Maybe they should start separating the okra and fries, so they won't be soggy.“

“Really good home cooked food. I had the Salisbury Steak with gravy, Mashed potatoes and Corn. All were really good food. This is the essence of a Mom and Pop type place where they cook all day, and consistently put out good product. The burgers are really good, the Hot Dogs are really good. The fries were crispy without being overdone. The atmosphere was small town, blue collar, which fits the food perfectly. It was like having dinner at home, only someone else cooked it for you. If you find yourself in Wadesboro, I highly recommend a visit!“
