“While visiting Raleigh, we decided to order from Oakwood Pizza Box, and it did not disappoint. The pizza was outstanding—perfectly blistered crust, fresh mozzarella, bright tomato sauce, and basil that tasted incredibly fresh. Every bite had that authentic, wood-fired flavor that pizza lovers look for.

The quality of the ingredients really shines through, and the balance of sauce, cheese, and crust was spot on. Even as visitors, we can see why this place has such a great reputation.

“One of my favorite spots to eat in Raleigh. If I had one word to describe amedeos I would say “consistent”. Never had a single problem with the service or food in my 2 years of dining there. We felt welcomed and cared for plus she was very attentive and anticipated our needs like bringing us refills without us asking her and she consistently checked in on us to make sure everything was to our liking. “The AM Party at La Mala was an amazing experience from start to finish! The food was fantastic, the drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric. The reggaeton music kept the energy going all day and created the perfect vibe for a great time with friends.

What truly made the experience special was the hospitality. A huge thank you to Jesse, for providing us with a complimentary VIP table. Their attention to guests and commitment to creating a memorable experience really stood out and made us feel genuinely welcomed.

I first dined here in college when I was looking for some eggplant parmesan - since that day 20 years later it’s still my favorite Italian restaurant in Raleigh! Btw their eggplant parmesan uses in house ROASTED eggplant not fried and I cannot explain how delicious it is. I’ve likely tried everything on the menu by this point and not once have I been disappointed.“

We come every Monday at 5pm but this week we were 5 minutes late and they had already given our reservation to someone else.
The owner says a reservation doesn't guarantee a specific table but if that's the case why make a reservation?
Too many young 20 year olds running the place that don't have a clue.“

Wanted to like it, but it wasn’t great. Too much dough and it was undercooked, while the sauce and crust were bland. The cheese was good, and the price was cheap enough.

Not expensive, so the value was there. But it needed more meat and cheese or less bread, and the flavor was really bland.“

“My family and I have been looking for our new favorite pizza place. We tried Johnny's for the first time last night, and we were really hoping this would be it.
The first bite of pizza was delicious..sauce, cheese, toppings...the flavor was all there. Unfortunately, the more we ate into our slices, we realized about 1/2 of the bottom of the pizza was burned. Not sure if this was due to uneven heat in the oven or lack of attention or what.

If it hadn't been burned, I would have easily rated this 5 stars.

UPDATE: Reached out to Johnny and his team & they were incredibly kind to give us another pizza to try, plus some extra goodies (the cinnamon bun/twist things are amazing!!) It was absolutely delicious, and we have been back a few times since! My family is so glad to have found this place.“
