“The Flame is an icon of a steakhouse in this town. I grew up here but left over 4 decades ago for a career that took me to the NY suburbs for decades. The Flame still has the ambience and great food that Pokey created so long ago. My only gripes are that they aren't open every night, just a few days each weekend, and they do not offer the splendid salad bar they once did. They have a strong competitor out in Tramway that has better hours, but still does not have the charm of The Flame.“
“What an awesome restaurant. We had the prime rib special served on Tuesdays. It was so tender and succulent, and every thing was prepared to perfection. What a great hidden gem, you must try this great restaurant. We want to give special accolades to our waiter, Cassidy. He was so attentive, explained everything so thoroughly, and served us very efficiently. He isbthe BEST! We loved our experience, and will be back, and you need to experience this wonderful restaurant! Great food, service, and ambiance!Vegetarian options: Our sides were wonderfully delicious plus the mushroom and grilled onions. The vegetables were fresh and the sweet potato was so delicious. Everything was fresh and tasty, and prepared perfectly.“
