“An incredible creamy homemade double scoop cup of pure delight. I do not eat Ice cream often but we all highly recommend that you try Flava's at 318 W Bay ST in Southport, NC because they offer some of the best ice cream (2) generations of ice cream lovers have ever eaten. We all agree, their Butter Pecan, Chocolate, Pumpkin, and Mint Chocolate Chip are FANTASTIC! Their servers are very polite, and efficient. They even figured out how to cap our double scoop ice cream cups so the did NOT melt on our (7) mile trek back home at 8:45 PM on a Friday evening. I know to some it is just ice cream, but our experience was very smooth and creamy, yum!“

“We’re big fans of this place and visit regularly when we’re in town. In all my. years on this planet, I have never had better cookies and cream ice cream. And I’ve had a lot of cookies and cream ice cream in my life. There were tons of Oreos, and they were actually still crispy. Not soggy as is typical. When they say fresh-made, they mean it!! Chef’s kiss for John & Lil’s. Seriously.“
“I have been here multiple times because of how good this place is. The staff are interactive and funny, while the donuts are a perfect-cakey substance. The place looks so cool, and very beachy. You will not believe how much I recommend this place!!!“
“Such a cute spot with a lot of cute art & goods. We walk here at least once during our time on the island. They have delicious options but unfortunately one of the few ice cream spots on the island that don’t offer options for those with dietary restrictions. Can we get at least one Gluten free and/or vegan item even if it’s just a cookie or brownie?“
“5 stars for delicious, creamy, vegan gelato! It's hard to find places with good quality vegan ice cream treats (or any vegan options at all, for that matter) and I was really happy to have multiple choices here! I sampled peach and salted caramel, both amazing!! Ended up going with the salted caramel. Staff was friendly and quick despite it being a really busy night with the fireworks and whatnot.“
“I've been wanting to try this place and glad I finally did. I ended up getting the taro bubble tea and the red curry with shrimp. Took one sip of the bubble tea and it was fantastic! Probably the best one I've had in a LONG time. Closest being an ice cream place in San Jose that I used to go to frequently. I think this place beats it though. Got home and had the red curry. Incredible. I'll be trying everything they have to offer!“
“Had great ice cream earlier in our trip. Nice to find soft serve. Gave 4 stars as we went one more time and arrived at 9:02 on Saturday night, which according to their hours online they’re open until 10, and the man inside gestured a bit rudely that they were closed. Be aware that the hours online may not be correct.“
“Mike's bites is amazing! We always go multiple times on our trip to the island and have been going since it 1st opened!! My husband and I love the hotdogs and of course my daughter loves the Italian ice! Mike and his staff are very accommodating and always so nice! Can't wait to be back to see you guys!“
“My family and I started going to Frosty’s when we started vacationing on OKI when I was 13 years old. We loved going there every night to get ice cream. We also enjoyed getting to know the owners and even had our picture taken for their wall of customers when Gracie the Clown still did face painting. Even now when we return to the island, Frosty’s is always our favorite place to visit and the owners still remember us by showing us out old picture.“
“We have been coming to Oak Island for the 5 years. Why, I never walked into this amazing place, I don't know. From the coffee, to the donuts, cheese cake, and chocolates, this place is magical ✨️the employee are absolutely amazing. This will forever be one of my favorite spots. “Love the coffee and pastries here! We traveled over to Bald Head for the day and made two coffee runs. In the morning it was chilly, so we got hot drinks including the Funky Monkey and Grasshopper. The pastries were warm and super moist - we had the chocolate muffin and apple cinnamon scone. We drove our golf cart all the way across the island to East Beach to enjoy them and they were perfect! In the afternoon, it warmed up quite a bit so we got iced drinks including an Almond Joy and Vanilla Frap. The service was great, and we love the atmosphere inside. Definitely one of our favorite stops.“

“Not going to lie, I've never been here. I found the frequent flier card in my son's Captain Underpants Book this evening and looked this place up. They get 5 stars for only requiring 6 visits to receive a free scoop or cup, i have always had to get 10. However, if I do make it out to Oak Island, I'm going to get the mudslide, it looks great.“
“Great variety of decorative gifts and knick-knacks for basically anyone I can think of.If that isnt your thing, then let me tell you something; Their fudge is the best I've ever had My family goes to Oak Island almost every year, and every year we always make sure to get some of this place's fudge! The ice cream place next to it is pretty good too, just FYI!“
“During our week at the beach, we tried several ice cream shops and ended up at this one last. If you're looking for delicious, homemade ice cream AND an assortment of other homemade candies and fudge to choose from, then this is one I highly recommend!I had a double scoop of coffee and death by chocolate in a waffle cone. Perfection!Also, the choices of fudge flavors were vast, and the people working there were friendly and kind.Parking is a little tricky, as it's right at the pier, but we did find free 15-minute parking right out front, which was perfect for us!“
“I had to write to let you know how outstanding the service was at your store located on Oak Island, NC. We didn’t realize the store closed at 10pm, and pulled up a few minutes later. The 2 women working were so kind, and instead of turning us away, they graciously agreed to serve us with a smile. It is hard to find good service at most places during business hours.
