“This coffee shop was an unexpected pleasure. The coffee was delicious, but the atmosphere was what was such a pleasant surprise. It has plenty of comfortable seating and a chill vibe. The owner, Albert, was welcoming and friendly. I will visit this little gem again!“

“I hope we run to the reviews for good reports as fast as we do when we are upset or critical. I was at this Mcdonald's today and a customer made a request at the window that their french fries be fresh, and I overheard the manager Kee Kee reinforce the staff "when a customer ask for fresh stuff, we give them fresh stuff. We have to honor the customers." She worked fast while speaking to her team firmly but with honor. I appreciated seeing that today. No, I don't know anyone that works there personally and I am in no way affiliated with McDonald's. Only a genuine customer.“

“This place is sooo good! Definitely a go-to breakfast or study spot when I'm in the area. The food is delicious and the coffee is too. One of the few places in all of NC I've been that has really great empanadas. Cuban girl approved! The people are also really nice and the service is fast even when busy. Great place to study without it being too noisy and while the parking fills up quickly there's lots of street parking around too!“

“I can’t believe how good this place was. The vibe, the welcoming and smiling staff, the food … all totally on point. The coffees- we tried hot and cold- were each THE BEST we’ve had in Charlotte…no contest. No paper cups here if you eat in… coffee only as it should be served: in real mugs on saucers with decorative art in the foam that holds while you drink it. The bahn mi sandwich was light and tasty like it should be- loved the bulgogi one. The bread was beyond anything I’ve found locally. I can’t say enough to express my delight with this place… a hidden gem in Matthews that you NEED to experience!!?“

“I go here multiple times a week and have never been disappointed. The coffee, pastries, and the staff are all wonderful. Highly recommend to anyone nearby.Vegetarian options: Not a single thing there that wouldn’t be vegetarianDietary restrictions: They offer different types of milk if you may be allergic, or lactose intolerant. There’s no meat in the shop, and I’ve only ever seen one item that contains nuts, but there could be more I haven’t noticed.Parking: At first glance it doesn’t seem like there’s a ton of parking, but there is plenty, and also plenty of exits depending on how you like to converge into traffic.Kid-friendliness: The people are incredibly kind to the kids, and there are plenty of pastries and other drinks besides coffee for any kids. I’ve seen plenty of parents in the shop, and there’s never been any issues“

“Went there on a whim for breakfast then afterwards decided to go back for lunch! Total vibe and they have a vast drinking selection from local beers to ciders and wines to match. Definitely going to recommend to friends/family and make this a normal hangout spot“

“The Panini's are awesome, bread is baked locally and you can tell the quality is excellent. The owner and young lady serving were very sweet and helpful. Some cool imported Italian products to choose from as well. Well worth the visit. Will be back.“

“Anytime I am in the vicinity of Brakeman’s, no matter if I need it or not, it’s coffee time. It’s a quaint little home that they turned into a full-fledged business. The concept is locomotives, so the interior exposed brick, hard metal accent pieces, and even names of beverages all point in the same direction. The customer service is incredible and usually has the same faces, so getting to know the staff on a first name basis is very common. The bakery they contract with is a local non-profit and puts out amazing products. They also have other food related items for purchase for convenience. Where it all matters, because upscale coffee shops are white noise these days, the beans and roast are impeccable. I’ve tried a little bit of everything on their menu and the espresso is very high level. I highly recommend the Ticket to London. Pricing is on-point and reasonable considering the quality of product and location of business. What I really enjoyed, just as much as the rest of the aforementioned aspects, was the customer demographic. You get a variety of everyone in there, but yet it doesn’t feel overcrowded, overhyped, or commercialized. It’s just a good local spot with great coffee and top shelf staff. I highly recommend. “I’ve been here a couple of times and I love it, I do wish there were menus on the wall that you can read while waiting in line (they do have smaller ones for food and seasonal items) Other than that I love coming here!! The coffee is amazing!“

“So, I walk in on for a bite to eat on a bright Sunday. This place has been haunting me in Google Maps for several days. I tend to avoid uptown because of parking, but this place was well worth it. I parked on the side street but later saw a parking lot across the street.I sat at the bar because it was the first thing I really noticed when I walked in. It was mildly busy that day. There were so many smiling faces, and the staff immediately assisted me when I stated it was my first time in.I ordered the vegan platter (yes, of course, I want the sausage with it) and a lavender vanilla latte with oat milk.Later, before leaving, I went to the bakery, which is located right inside and to the left and got the donut (vanilla birthday cake) and muffin (chocolate chip). The vegan and gluten-free were on the top shelf and clearly labeled in the case #winBack to the meal... I ordered and paid at the bar and was told to wait for the text that I would receive when my order was ready. I was directed to the back of the store for the food and the bakery for the coffee, but the bartender grabbed and delivered the items directly to me (so many thanks!)The food automatically came in to go containers. I appreciated that because it made it easier for me to go from the bar to a table to work (no laptops were allowed at the bar 10a-2p.I completely enjoyed everything I ate! It was flavored and cooked to perfection ??To say I'll be going back there is an understatement! You'll have to try this place! There are plenty of vegan options, and the price was VERY good for brunch!Not a full 5 stars because I asked for iced water, and the staff at the bakery counter told me to get the water from the community container. It's awesome that they offer this, but there was no ice.Also, they had me pay on a device and left the device in front of me for most of my meal. It was awkward and made me feel like I was supposed to do something more.Parking: I parked in a paid stall on the side of the building which is a shopping center. Parking was easy at this time. I'm going back to the restaurant this week and will update this if needed for the day/time.“

“This is a good spot to grab a quick casual breakfast or lunch. I had the Cindy's Turkey sandwich. Sounds like blah but it's not at all. The mix of flavors and textures was really good- try the bollilo bread that they make in- house. Also the staff was super friendly- the type who remember you and what you usually order. “This was probably the best meal I have ever received from a restaurant delivery (DoorDash)! The Steak Au Poive was perfectly cooked and just phenomenal. I usually am not a huge fan of mushrooms, but the mushrooms included with the steak were divine, as was the broccolini. My wife decided to have a dinner of a few appetizers. The White Bean Dip, Crab Dip, and Fingerling Potatoes were all excellent.They have a convenient kids menu. Our kids both enjoyed their meals - one got the Grilled Cheese and the other got the Kids Hamburger. Both were a significant size for a kid's menu, and our 5 and 10 year old boys cleaned their plates!My only complaint is that the portion size of the Crab Dip was a bit small for the price. Nonetheless, Rosemont deserves a 5-star review. Everything was delicious and made everyone in our family happy.“

“Nice spot in the middle of little Mint Hill. Outside seating has heat and fans as needed. Because of the proximity to the road it can be a little loud but if you know that going in, it's not really a problem. We always bring our pup so we have never sat inside but it does have a nice vibe. Service is always good and food is good as well. A large selection of wine so I feel certain that you will find something you like.....Unless you don't drink wine;-)“

“Hidden gem! The on site manager is really friendly and you can tell he really cares about the quality of beverages and food served. This site has a wide variety of drinks and makes for a perfect quick stop to get refreshments. “This quiet cafe is a gem in the rough. I ordered a cappuccino and cinnamon muffin which came to about $12 with a modest tip. I'd expect to pay around $14 at the most for coffee for two. Orders are done on the front counter (no kiosk), seating is plentiful and there's even a digital fireplace for a toasty get together! This quiet cafe feels like home though home also has a cortado on the menu;) (if I had to nitpick).P.S. “Fav place to get a cheesecake for my husband's bday. The carrot cake one is one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. I pop in for pastries sometimes too. I really love their olive oil cake. The service is a little slow, but staff is very nice. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired because the line area for customers is so small and congested that everyone kind of stands on top of eachother waiting. That said, I would keep ordering cheesecakes from them even if they served them out of a dumpster. I think I'll try their macaroons next time.“

“I came with my three kids since two had a teacher work day. Trying to make memories.IKYK. Anyways, my kids were actually being manageable but my son decided to channel his inner babe Ruth. A perfectly executed throw of his milk bottle directly into my latte. As a mom I wanted to cry. I was overwhelmed and outnumbered. Not your moms donuts was so beyond kind and helped me clean the mess( I insisted on helping because my slugger was the reason for the now spilled coffee) then they went ahead and made me a new coffee. “Do you like a smooth sweet but not too over the top coffee? Brakeman's Honey Bee Latte is for you! I am sure their other drinks are fab but this is the drink I purchased a minimum of 5 times in my weekend sun the greater Charlotte area. Even when the place was busy, the baristas kept their positive and upbeat attitudes about them. It made the experience that much better. Plus, you have cute items and decor to view if you have to wait for your coffee which doesn't happen often given how quick the baristas are.“

“I visited Le Peep to have breakfast. The service was great, quick and friendly. Coffee was served in quickly and our order was taken. In less than 10, we had out full breakfast. My Greek omelette was light, fresh and not at all salty. Our cups were refilled without a request. Breakfast was delicious. I will return to sample other items.“

I love the employees (Shye, Chloe, Abigail, Morgan and the rest!) and I absolutely love their espresso here. I've tried a lot of coffee shops in Charlotte and Central by far has the best tasting espresso for drinks and will always be my first choice!Also, to the negative reviewers who can't get cold foam etc here.....maybe try the starbucks down the street? This isn't a chain coffee shop, so maybe stick to your chains if your expectation is for small coffee shops to have the same products :)“

“3 different nationalities, Mexico, Ecuador and the USA, we went to eat at this restaurant and we loved it, the pork rinds were crunchy, and the beans had pieces of green plantain, wow delicious, the atmosphere was good, the service was a little poor, the waitress was a bit annoying and never asked us if everything was okay but the rest of us loved it, if we would come back“

Two things to improve... whole milk & almond milk are not the same, please ensure I get what I pay for and the pumpkin spice is HEAVY handed. Typically I taste test at time of transaction but I was enjoying the conversation of the cashier. Got home was not satisfied... refrigerated and tried again this morning and had to dilute with home brewed coffee. My tea for the day has been spilled... thank you for your time.“

“Went to this starbucks location since my regular one was closed. I've always tried avoiding coming to this location since it's in a very busy street and in a small shopping center. Decided to bite the bullet and stop by. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the parking lot was not busy at all, plenty of parking spots to choose from. There was no no line when I walked in. As soon as I got to the counter, I ordered my coffee and waited, maybe no more than 5 minutes, and I was on my way to work. This location is on the smaller side. There are a few tables you can sit at and lounge, but if it gets busy, I can see this location being pretty cramped. Overall, I would definitely start coming to this location. It was not as busy and complicated as I thought it would be and def. Closer to my job. Everyone was super friendly and nice and had no hassle at all.“

“Ok, So it's a rainy early morning and I was craving a medicine ball tea. I went through the drive through and got my tea and went to my busy medical office to start my day. I took a drink and noticed the tea was very watered down. I had a waiting room full of patients and I was busy all day so I couldn't leave. I got a quick break and called just to let them know. I spoke with ASH. He was so professional & compassionate. He apologized and advised me he would make it right. I told him I just wanted a different one because I wanted one so bad. I told him I only work around the corner so I will try to come a little later in the afternoon.. Next thing I know, in comes this cheerful, gentleman with my tea in hand and gift card. He smiled and said, I'm looking for Stacy. I was in shock. He told me I had called the wrong store. But he wanted to make sure that my day got better. So he delivered my tea❤️❤️❤️❤️JUST WOW! “Starbucks early in the morning is the best way to start the day. The baristas are here at 6 am. when the grocery store opens, ready to brew coffee and serve pastries. If you want some salt and caramel with your coffee, try the salted caramel cream cold brew. No sugar is needed with the caramel adding the sweetness and top off with salt. If that is too sweet for you, add a shot. Now you're ready to tackle the morning drive.“
