“I love Back Yard Brew. I recently stopped there for a Meetup book club. To be honest with you, the book club was underwhelming but fortunately the coffee was not. The courtyard is designed with maximum eclecticism in mind, so it's the polar opposite of a Starbucks or Peets or heaven forbid a Dunkin Donuts. I recommend the Turkish coffee if you like cardamom scented thick ground coffee. Otherwise order a Yemen or Mexican pour over. Grab brags before you leave for your home brewing needs and definitely check out the restroom before you leave!“
“Absolutely love this place! Doesn't matter the time of day, it's the perfect spot. I've been there for coffee, the empanadas, drinks upstairs, they have it all. It's a great spot to bring some work or to just socialize and they are nestled right in the heart of Plaza Midwood. They also have great outdoor patio spaces!“
“This place is a vibe and a half, and I'm so happy it exists in CLT! We learned about Archive when taking a tour of "The Vault" Black art collectors special exhibition at the Mint Museum. Our tour guide mentioned that one of the collectors in the show owns this coffee shop, and that the bathroom is covered in vintage magazines, just like one of the walls of the exhibition! The very next morning, we came by to check it out. From the music playing to the books, records, art, and memorabilia in the space, Archive is so comfortable, welcoming, and interesting. It's the type of place where you want to enjoy a nice beverage and have deep conversations. To drink, we tried an iced dirty chai and an iced foxy brown (both with oat milk). The foxy brown was unique and delightful, with notes of caramel and brown butter. We nibbled on a cinnamon crumb muffin, which they offered to warm for us. Delish and paired perfectly with our bevvies. Archive is amazing!!“
“I can’t believe how good this place was. The vibe, the welcoming and smiling staff, the food … all totally on point. The coffees- we tried hot and cold- were each THE BEST we’ve had in Charlotte…no contest. No paper cups here if you eat in… coffee only as it should be served: in real mugs on saucers with decorative art in the foam that holds while you drink it. The bahn mi sandwich was light and tasty like it should be- loved the bulgogi one. The bread was beyond anything I’ve found locally. I can’t say enough to express my delight with this place… a hidden gem in Matthews that you NEED to experience!!?“
“I’m honestly surprised this place wasn’t as packed as other places in charlotte because it’s a true gem! The donuts are unique and delicious. The brioche donuts aren’t overly sweet but they are just perfect. And the people were kind, patient and you could tell they took pride in the place and product, and they should it’s unique and delicious. 10/10 the best donuts in charlotte run don’t walk! The brown butter, the chocolate honeycomb, the raspberry glazed were all stellar. Can’t wait to try other flavors as well!“
“I had to take my mother on a road trip for surgery and we got there a bit early. I looked up and saw the title on the building and at a quick Google glance thought: "coffee shop with donuts and stuff" which actually was perfect in that simplicity. I walked in and was blown away by the array of colors and culinary treats. This meager line chef was suddenly a kid in a lego shop. The display cases just have to be seen and enjoyed in person even you dont do the whole "food is art" thing. Its the same joy of an ice creme shop with all the flavors except each flavor is an entirely different item. Willy Wonka music playing in your head and all that. I had so many culinary questions and wanted to run around in their kitchen screaming "wooooooooooooow neat" but I sadly didn't have time and just didnt have out of state bail money. Surgery was soon. The few things I grabbed would take longer than this thing will let me type to review. I'll just sum it up: I will 100% make the 1 hour and some change drive through a maze of school busses and SUVS to try new things in the future. I'm still drooling at the cakes on thier website. Pink strawberry bread forever.“
“Great beer tenders, knowledgeable and friendly. Diverse selection of beers, all done very well. Deepest condolences to Dan's family, friends, and the CLT beer community. Speaking as a beer industry worker visiting from out of town, please support these folks. They do a great job.“
“Peruvian Coffee is delicious and delivers a smooth satisfying sip. I tried the Dulce Du Leche in an Iced Coffee. It was delicious. I also tried the empanads. Those were unique and meaty. My favorite was the cheese. We also had a light and fluffy waffle that was amazing.“
“First time here Patrick the manager was amazing he noticed me looking at the menu for a while and came and asked if it was my first time here then he helped me narrow what I wanted down to the Ultimate Nachos which were amazing and he even bought them out to me. The atmosphere is great and I’ll definitely be back!!!!“
“This is a really cool coffee stop, in an area that historically has been an off-limits neighborhood to most. This business is helping to lift up the city, their neighborhood and their community. They are investing in the good people of Charlotte and doing it well. Check it out! They have a small and convenient parking lot in the back“
“Awesome atmosphere and polite service. For the large garden in the back with outdoor seating, and free parking, I would enjoy coming back here on a regular basis if I could. The white chocolate raspberry latte I had was very good, as were our lavender scones. Highly recommended!“
“Beautiful place, I loved the aesthetic & the coffee was amazing! I got the salted caramel iced latte it was 10/10! I went with 2 friends & we sat in the back reserved room, it was perfect to just hang out & talk for a bit & not disturb anyone else! Will definitely return soon :)“
“I really wish I lived by this bakery. The closest one is 3 hours away from me. Luckily I was leaving the Charlotte area and had this place on my list of stops as I headed back to my hometown. I will say to keep in mind this location of Tous Les Jours is in the city and the main parking lot is VERY small and is shared by several other stores/offices. I parked a block away and walked to the establishment. Upon entry, you are immediately graced with the beautiful decor and easy access to the baked goods. Customers are encouraged to grab gloves, a tray, and tongs and select which items they would like from the wide selection. There were so many things I wanted to try but I had a long drive home and knew I'd be tempted to eat them all lol. I ended up selecting the strawberry croissant and the honey lavender macchiato with almond milk. I had no words for how divine both items were. The strawberry croissant is such a simple and well put together pastry but it really satisfied my sweet tooth without overpowering. I used to love eating cool whip with my fruit as a child and that's exactly what it reminded me of with the addition of the toasted croissant. I was delighted by how sweet and fresh the strawberries were as well. That's a pastry I will never forget. As a macchiato lover, the honey lavender macchiato was one of the best I have ever had. You could taste the essence of the lavender without it overpowering the coffee which was smooth and rich. I truly enjoyed my overall experience at Tous Les Jours from the helpful and kind service to the yummy goods/drinks. If I lived near one, I would definitely go often. I can't wait to visit again!“
“Me and my husband happened to find this lil place on our way to the mountains. We both got americanos amd they where delicious! This place is small, and has a lovely atmosphere. I love that it's so tiny it encourages conversation. We really enjoyed it.“
“I started attending the Summit Coffee Friday morning run through Charlotte Running Club! First, I want to thank the entire staff for serving us and working extremely hard to fulfill our coffee orders after the run. Second, the online app is amazing - the key is to put your coffee order in when you're starting the last mile of your run! :) Overall, very impressed with the service/atmosphere and will definitely be back.“
“Ruby Sunshine is my FAVORITE brunch spot in Charlotte!! Tasha was my waitress today and the service was so amazing!! She checked on us many times to make sure we had what we needed. I'll be back and hope I have Tasha as a waitress. Best experience today.“
“The barista Morgan was incredibly friendly and personable as I waiting to receive my drink and we had such an amazing conversation good luck to their creative ambitions in life. The drink, service, atmosphere, live music, was fantastic and I definitely will be back “
“We're back to get the lemon donuts that are only served on Saturdays. Don't get me wrong, they have other specialty donuts too. Today a caramel apple donut and a banana muffin donut were specialties too, but I stuck to my favorite. The cashier was friendly, and the donuts and coffee were hot. What more could you ask for? If you're new to REIGNING donuts, it is a walk up to a building that has a literal hole in the wall where you order, pay by card only, and collect your made to order donuts. It is quaint and deservedly popular.“
“I’ve been coming here more recently, and have really enjoyed it. It’s a great place to get some work done, and the drink choices are yummy. The baristas are great, but Jay has been particularly helpful! I see her frequently when I come in, and she makes me feel like a regular now. Great place!“
“I stumbled across this place on Thursday, 02-15-24 while picking up dinner at another establishment. I was impressed by the gelato & truffle flavors; some were regular while others were eccentric. The young lady serving me was pleasant and offered me samples of gelato. I tried the caramel whiskey and was instantly in love. I bought a small cup with a scoop of caramel whiskey and cookie butter. While deciding on flavors, she informed me that each flavor came in either dark or milk chocolate. I choose a dark chocolate amaretto and a milk chocolate salted caramel. This was a good splurge and I'm looking forward to returning.“
“It is so hard to walk into this place and not instantly be in a better mood than before you entered! I love to see everyone just thriving! Everyone was so pleasant and welcoming. We ordered a mocha latte and a smoothie and both were amazing! I can’t wait to visit again! ?“
“Love this little shop! Can’t believe I didn’t know it was not only right beside my office…..but they open at 9am!!! I’ve always wanted morning boba instead of morning coffee and now I can and not only that, but the boba and milk teas are also actually really good!! And very fairly priced!! They also have cute plushies and snacks for sale! Will be coming here lots!Dietary restrictions: Have alternative milk options! (Almond and oat) for only $0.50 extra!“
“This was such a great experience! When you walk in, the space is so open, and they have lots of seating inside and out. I luckily went on a day it was warmer, so I already knew I wanted to sit outside.I order the Cheesy-Toastie, Crispy Potatoes, and House Spritz. The spritz was so refreshing and smooth! I loved every second of it and recommended it to the woman next to me. My cheesy toastie was perfectly toasted, and this cheese perfectly melted. Every bite melted in my mouth. The crispy potatoes and the aioli were the perfect pairing for the day. Can’t wait to bring my friends back!Parking: There’s a lot with more parking in the back, next to the buildingKid-friendliness: Has larger tables inside for kids to sit with family“
“Come here for the REAL coffee shop experience. Great place to socialize, study, have a delicious coffee, or to even sit outside to enjoy the sunlight. The staff is super welcoming. The environment is a conducive place for quality study time, social time, or even a game night! I am very thankful for this coffee shop and just hope it continues to stick around long enough to become a Charlotte landmark.“
“This is the absolute best coffee I’ve ever tasted!! It’s smooth and rich with great flavors. Even the Decaf is wonderful. I tend to crave coffee at night but have never found a decaf coffee that isn’t bitter and nasty. This decaf has all the flavor and richness of regular coffee. I cannot express how great tasting this coffee is. I don’t drink alcohol so coffee is my comfort and this is the best I’ve ever had!!!“
“LOVE SALUD! Absolute FAVORITE coffee bar in Charlotte. Staff is amazing especially DELPHINE. From the small candid conversations to remember the small things like (giving me hot honey before I even ask because I always forget). They have the best customer service in Charlotte HANDS DOWN. Thank you so much!“
“I've been doing Courts and Coffee for the past month, and it is my new favorite thing. Randi is very nice and welcoming and really great about matching you up with people at your skill level. She does all the organizing and I get to just show up and play! I'm new and still learning and even when I play with/against more experience people they have been so nice and encouraging. If you're open and willing to learn from others, you will enjoy yourself. And socializing in between games and the included coffee is a nice bonus!“
“Drinks were out quickly! The thai tea was a perfect sweetness and the tea flavor was amazing! The strawberry tornado was fresh, and the yakult separated into two parts, not sure if that's supposed to happen! Boba was sweet, soft, and chewy!“
“Yummy made to order deliciousness. They were pretty busy and short staffed like most places these days, but customer service was still on point. They had DoorDash orders coming in as well and lady behind the counter running the register (I assume manager) wanted to make sure the staff got caught up before she took my order so I would have fresh and hot donuts. I definitely appreciated that. I got the maple bacon, and they did not disappoint. So warm and flavorful.“
“Super cute coffee shop. The kids loved the hot chocolates and my wife really enjoyed the matcha tea latte. My chai was solid, hindsight being 20/20 I should have asked for some vanilla. Bathroom was super clean and plenty of outdoor seating available!“
“I'm a sucker for a good Greek restaurant/bakery so I had to stop in here. I ordered a ham and cheese pie, kokakia, and a cappuccino. The pie was flakey and the subtle sweetness from the powdered sugar paired well with the saltiness of the cheese and ham. The kokakia was a tasty little treat and the cappuccino hit the spot. Good atmosphere and super respectful service. I would happily come back here!“
“So, I walk in on for a bite to eat on a bright Sunday. This place has been haunting me in Google Maps for several days. I tend to avoid uptown because of parking, but this place was well worth it. I parked on the side street but later saw a parking lot across the street.I sat at the bar because it was the first thing I really noticed when I walked in. It was mildly busy that day. There were so many smiling faces, and the staff immediately assisted me when I stated it was my first time in.I ordered the vegan platter (yes, of course, I want the sausage with it) and a lavender vanilla latte with oat milk.Later, before leaving, I went to the bakery, which is located right inside and to the left and got the donut (vanilla birthday cake) and muffin (chocolate chip). The vegan and gluten-free were on the top shelf and clearly labeled in the case #winBack to the meal... I ordered and paid at the bar and was told to wait for the text that I would receive when my order was ready. I was directed to the back of the store for the food and the bakery for the coffee, but the bartender grabbed and delivered the items directly to me (so many thanks!)The food automatically came in to go containers. I appreciated that because it made it easier for me to go from the bar to a table to work (no laptops were allowed at the bar 10a-2p.I completely enjoyed everything I ate! It was flavored and cooked to perfection ??To say I'll be going back there is an understatement! You'll have to try this place! There are plenty of vegan options, and the price was VERY good for brunch! Not a full 5 stars because I asked for iced water, and the staff at the bakery counter told me to get the water from the community container. It's awesome that they offer this, but there was no ice. Also, they had me pay on a device and left the device in front of me for most of my meal. It was awkward and made me feel like I was supposed to do something more.Parking: I parked in a paid stall on the side of the building which is a shopping center. Parking was easy at this time. I'm going back to the restaurant this week and will update this if needed for the day/time.“
“This is the most charming Cafe ever. The owner is kind and engaging and the Milk Tea is superb! They now have daily fresh baked French Pastries: twice baked croissants, sweet cream cinnamon rolls, and bursting blueberry muffins to name a few. Its located 120 Brevard Court in the French Quarter Village in Uptown Charlotte, its such a welcoming experience.“
“Visited this place over the weekend for afternoon coffee. There is a parking lot across the street charged $3 for 8 hours. Not much street parking available there. This place has really great atmosphere. Our Barista was very friendly and patient. They forgot something on our order, and very quick to apologize and catered to our order. Place was packed. Overall 4/5 ?“
“Fantastic doughnuts--maybe the best in town, or at least neck and neck with Suarez. We are obsessed with the white chocolate chai, brown butter and salt, whipped lemon ricotta, cinnamon pear, and honey butter cinnamon-bun. Everything we have tried has been incredible though. I would say this is one of the few spots in CLT that could compete in a bigger, dining-competitive city and we are so lucky to have it here. Parking is rough, but they deliver, which makes it dangerously easy to over-indulge. We got a couple of boxes delivered in place of cake for a family member's birthday and they went over BIG.“
“Wonderful experience! From the manager making sure we would enjoy our meal when I called early that morning about our reservations to Sergio being an absolute gracias server. The drinks were so good, and the prime rib with mash potatoes and broccolini (the au jus put it over the top) was delicious! I highly recommend.. you will not be disappointed!“
“This store was amazing. Very welcoming baristas and very good coffee. I bought a bag to bring back to my starbucks at home for my manager to try and he said it was amazing! Even a few other baristas said it was very good too. Thank you so much for not only a good experience for coffee but making high quality products!!“
“Love this place! One of the only small business drive thru coffee shops in CLT. Their drink flavors are good and they aren't too sweet which is normally a problem at other spots. Maui Macchiato is my go to, they also have a good rewards/points program. And yummy pastries on the weekends from local bakeries!“
“I am so glad I found out about this place from my daughter! They have the best donuts and it's always so good! And the workers and owners are always so welcoming! We try to make it on once a week for a donut for lunch! <3 we love it ! Won't be going to any other donut shop!“
“Came here after eating dinner nearby. Tried the Matcha and Vanilla twist soft serve. The ice cream was good a large portion, which I suppose justifies the higher cost.Want to come back and try the refreshers. Heard it is similar to drinks in S. Korea.Cute atmosphere and friendly service!“
“I have visited this place with some time to kill and I had the mango mason jar. I love the fruit in the mason jar and also the decorated fruit. This is a great drink. Definitely get it and also the guy at the front on the register was very nice to me that we go to the spot if you like Boba or tea it was very pretty inside as well which I really enjoyed. I love when a store feels very comforting and pretty.Parking: open parking“
“Mitty's is wonderful from the peaceful atmosphere to the kind employees. Amanda is wonderful., she just knew how to calm my 4 year old right down. Helped my mother and brother with they're amazing line of CBD products. Judge has a beautiful spirit and truly gifted in massage and body work. The energy is perfect for me and m ugh family. A must. Love this place.“
“Great local coffee spot. I think they have the best lattes in town. You should definitely check it out if you like coffee and want to support a local business!Parking: Depending on when you go, the parking could be fine or difficult. They're in a corner of the shopping center and if any other business is busy, it can cut into the parking pretty quickly“
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Suffolk Punch Brewery is an absolute gem! My recent visit left me in awe of their culinary and brewing prowess. The Suffolk Punch Brewing South Park burger was a flavor explosion - the Irish Oaks Grass Fed Beef paired perfectly with the fresh Bibb Lettuce, Tomato, Shaved Onion, and those unforgettable Drunken Pickles. And let's not forget about the ooey-gooey goodness of the cheddar cheese and SPG sauce, all nestled in a delightful local bun from QCP Co. Perfection on a plate! And as for their brews, the Work Horse pale ale citra was a revelation. It was hoppy, crisp, and refreshing - the ideal companion for a Thursday evening. And speaking of Thursdays, their $3 Thursday deal is an absolute steal! From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted with warmth and hospitality. Suffolk Punch Brewery has definitely earned a permanent spot on my list of favorite spots in town. Can't wait for my next visit!"“
“I had come already 2 times to Milk Cha Cha and it’s been great!!! I loved their boba tea. You can select the level of sugar of your drink and they also have a lot of options to choose from. I tried the strawberry and ube swirl. Their employees are nice. Will definitely be back soon.“
“I’ve been wanting to try Cypress Drinkery in Charlotte, North Carolina for so long and finally got there. It was better than I imagined. Just a chill local bar with a bottle shop. The bartender was amazing. She was very friendly and had fast service. The prices were reasonable and loved the space too. Will definitely go back.“
“Best coffee in the area! So glad a Summit opened in Ballantyne, because there are so few local coffee shops around unless you want to drive 20+ minutes to Southend. The staff are so sweet every single time I go in, and the seasonal coffee menus are absolutely amazing! I crave their Everything Danish literally all the time “
“If you need a quick cup of coffee or tea, this might not be the best place to stop. Took 7-8 minutes to get my cup of herbal tea. They seemed understaffed yesterday. Otherwise, if you are looking for a place to hang out, this might be an ideal place.“
“As a vegetarian this is by far my favorite breakfast place in Charlotte. Great people, quaint little area, and incredible food. From their breakfast sandwiches with egg, cheese, hash brown, and vegan sausage on their house Bolilo or the vegan buffalo chix sandwich with house ranch, as well as the great smoothies and coffee....this place rocks.Vegetarians/Vegans in Charlotte, NC who have not had a chance to step in and have a bite in the cozy atmosphere with the great owner/staff are missing out big-time!Vegetarian options: Plentiful, and delicious!Dietary restrictions: Very catering to all needs, as all items seem quite customizable with many substitutes available across the board!Parking: Plentiful, and easy!Wheelchair accessibility: Oof, this is the one and only place where I am uncertain as someone who does not use a wheelchair...the interior seating areas are rather cramped, and I barely can walk between tables (e.g. to/from the condiment area or from the ordering area to tables/bar by the window) without turning sideways. There are outside tables, though, for folk in wheelchairs. I imagine (given how kind, accommodating owners are) that space could be made inside or a table moved to the interior front entrance area!“
“I love this place. They do the little things well—always friendly staff, clean and spacious dining area, and fun drinks. We’ve been a couple times, but decided to come and try the Spring seasonals. My Strawberry cold foam Matcha Latte was exceptional, and my gf loved her raspberry white mocha as well. There are lots of places to sit and charge if needed, which makes it even better. Just wish they were open Sundays to take more of our money!!!“
