“My husband and I have been here multiple times over the last 5 years and tonight was so disappointing. The steak was the dryest piece of meat you could have imagined and the remaining entrees our table ordered were extremely underwhelming for the price. The "rack" of elk was two extremely small pieces for an astronomical price. A $400 meal that was overwhelmingly disappointing and was not a culinary experience as we've had in the past. Save your money and go elsewhere.“

“We visited on their first open weekend, so several menu items were not yet available. There were 6 of us and we all enjoyed our meals. We had fried pickles, hot crab dip, large seafood platter, shrimp and grits, grilled salmon, and seafood Alfredo. Service was good. The atmosphere is simple, but the views are gorgeous. We would definitely visit again.“

“I've been away from Topsail for a few years and was back this past weekend. We went to Daily Grind twice, and it was very good both times, as I expected from my prior visits in years past. We had dirty chai and iced mochas. I was very impressed at how quickly our orders came up, even though the line was pretty significant.I'm happy to see this business doing so well!“

“Had a crab boil for out first meal in Surf City. The instructions were easy to follow. The service at the location was excellent. They walked me through how to cook everything. I steamed it in beer and added boiled eggs to my steamer. It was a feast!“

“We have been coming to Topsoil for years and this is the one of two reliably good places to eat on the island, in my opinion. We've never been disappointed and always leave full.Ironically, never had their oysters, but their shrimp is delicious and we always, *always*, get the fries for the app.Dietary restrictions: Great with allergens to ensure no cross contamination on the menu. We've never requested modifications, though.Parking: Parking can be difficult during on season, but never any problems off season. Be careful where you park, because some spaces are reserved for specific businesses.“

“As always, it's a pleasure to be able to pull through the drive-thru and today after being waited on by an exceptionally attentive gentleman, I inquired as to what his name was... I was told that it was Savon, the owner. I didn't recognize him but he's just as kind and humble as ever. He's kept this bakery top-notch for years now and there he is hanging out the window. I asked if he wanted me to drive around as I hadn't called in my order and he replied that they'd already taken the orders of the 2 cars behind me. The Everything bagel was perfect and the bacon, egg, and cheese on the Everything was as well. You can tell that everyone is digging their job and tasks because of their smiles! “Wow! Came here after lunch for something sweets. I don't normally even like donuts but I really enjoyed this donut. Was able to park outside in the lot. We went inside and the worker was very kind. He gave us a run down on the menu and what was popular. The donuts are made right on the spot so it was so warm and just a great consistency. They are cake donuts that you can add glaze and toppings to so you can make it your own. My one donut was ~$2.50. I ordered the mint donut and loved it. It kinda looked like shrek. So warm and tasty! I would definitely come back! Was able to sit outside on the bench and enjoy my donut!“

“Stopped for dinner last min and the atmosphere was great our server was amazing…the food on the other hand was overpriced we thought and I don’t recommend getting the crap cakes as the ones I got had no lump crab and were small and dry. Our server noticed I was not eating them and right away asked If I would like something different which was very nice. I’m here to say I do recommend the shrimp and grits they were delicious with a hint of spiceWe also got the crab shrimp linguine that was good and the fried shrimp was delicious. I wouldn’t recommend the lobster bisque as It was very runny and no pieces of lobster, but the crab dip we got as a appetizer also deliciousBut on all it was a great experience“

“We love going to coastal every time we visit Topsail. They have a large variety of beer and cider. The service is friendly and quick. They always play sports and good music. But the food is by far the reason we go. Everything we have had has been super and top notch for what's offered on the island. We love the hot honey shrimp, wings, jalepeno nachos, burgers, wraps, tots, fries and more. We love the tastiness of the food. It's amazing and 100% worth a trip when visiting Topsail. You can also get your food to go and sit anywhere in town.“

“I was in Surf City for 5 days with the fam, and I tried to get a hot dog from this place every day I was there. The guy behind the counter was cool, and he always asked how I was doing. The hot dog was consistently delicious. I am from WV, so the Carolina Dog was pretty much my jam. Chili and slaw were always on point. The bun was steamed and wrapped in foil and consistently satisfying. I ate there 4 times, and was never disappointed. The service was speedy, and I would eat there every week if they were in my neighborhood.“

The food *Mouth Watering!!* The service *Debbie was Super Sweet!!* We started with Mahi bites ? and then had the grilled Mahi with crab cakes with cheese grits, Yummers! And last and BEST of all was the Key Lime Pie!! You HAVE TO save room for this!!! We WILL be going back at least one more time this trip!! Highly recommend!!!“

“I had a great experience, I ordered steak and eggs and it was delicious. My server was Kaylee and she was very nice and on top of things even while slammed. I will request her section next time. “So good I had to eat here twice during our recent trip to Surf City! First time I had the Italian sub and the second time I had the reuben sandwich. Both were excellent! Service is very friendly and fast. They do have plenty of parking and have a small seating area downstairs and more seating upstairs. They have a pretty large menu of sandwiches and breakfast. If you're craving a great sandwich drop in and check this spot out. I'll be back for sure.“

“I went to Cowfin because I had heard good things. They did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and on top of the service. We had buffalo wings and chicken quesadilla. The buffalo wing sauce is the best I have had in this area. I will be back for more. My friend said she enjoyed the chicken quesadilla.“

“The wife and I have been to Nineteen for brunch on several occasions. Every time has been a great experience. We have found all parts of the brunch menu incredibly yummy! Service has been responsive and wait times very minimal. Cost is very friendly to the wallet. Warmer weather brings opportunity to eat on the outdoor deck and views of the golf course. If your looking for a great dining experience for brunch, let the mimosas fly and do not hesitate to go to Nineteen.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking spaces are not extremely close to the front door, but a nice inclined sidewalk with no steps is great for accessibility.“

“Icecream was yum and merch was cool. There wasn’t a place for me to fill my reusable water bottle! Which is always ridiculous in this wasteful world, but especially on a coastal town where plastic is killing our sea turtles. I asked if I could fill my water somewhere and was told I could be given a plastic cup to fill mine. That defeats the entire purpose…“
