“I am not often in Greenville, but when I found out that the Abrams in town was now closed, I discovered this place from Yelp. It's a predictably good local-owned joint with southern diner ambience. Staff is friendly. I was surprised how busy this place still was after 10am. The staff was great, and although I did have to wait a little for a table and a waitress, it wasn't long at all. I decided to try the fried bologna breakfast plate. It was great. Eggs were cooked perfectly. The bologna was thick and plenty. My coffee cup was kept filled constantly. In fact, even though it took a while to get my order, I had coffee on my table within seconds of sitting down. I also got a cheese biscuit as a side and it was yummy and melty. I only have two critiques. One is seating. I'm a big guy, which is nobody's fault but mine. Much of the seating is older booths, and not very comfortable for someone of my size. The only other issue was since I'm a big grits fan, I was disappointed that these here were very watered down. You could drink them if you had a straw. I will be back here again though. Overall I left full and happy!“
“My southern husband adores fried food and I was glad to find this place. The shared kitchen is open for fish Fridays only and we share the fish and shrimp platter, both of which are good, for $11 with two sides. The fries and green beans are nothing special, the okra, mac/cheese, cole slaw, and potato salad are all good. The potatoes aren't particularly good. The guy at the window is very nice. Apparently there's seating inside but we've only done take away.“

“My first time dining here and definitely not my last. Some coworkers and I visited here on a Thursday for lunch and the lunch special consisted of hamburger steak, chicken pastry or fried chicken. I chose to get the hamburger steak and fried chicken (two meat lunch special) with cabbage and mashed potatoes. The bread that our waitress brought to us upon sitting down is worth mentioning because they were so good! A mixture of mini garlic breads with hush puppies was the bread basket I didn’t know I needed. Our waitress was very attentive, quick and got our orders correct so our service was good as well. When our food arrived and I dug in for my first bite I instantly fell in love. Everything on my plate was seasoned well and I did not have to grab the salt and pepper shaker. Southern comfort food at its best! My coworkers enjoyed their meals as well. They spoke highly about the fried okra, yams, and grilled chicken breast. We all cleaned our plates. I wish I would’ve gotten a piece of cake because I’ve heard how delicious they are but they sure did look good. I’ll make sure to get a slice on my next visit. I also want to try other menu options so I cannot wait to go back. I highly recommend this restaurant and I think most other people would agree.“

“Staff were not very friendly. I had to ask several times to get our drinks. I also had to ask several times to get napkins Food was not up to the standard that one expects from Cracker Barrel. They were out of several entrees we requested. The coffee tasted stale. The Country store was the only highlight of this trip. The Country store is nice especially if you want speciality sodas you can't get easily at other stores such as Big Red, Moxie, Nehi Peach etc.“

My cousin and I had the same thing ribs and shrimp. The sauce was finger licking good. The strawberry lemonade yeah we each got one to go. 4/23/2024“
