4.8 stars, French, and in Lincoln? Could it really be any good? But how can you not love a French restaurant the serves real Hungarian Goulash? So we tried it. For lunch.
What a surprise! The outside, not so much to look at. We almost turned around and went somewhere else. But we were hungry so we went in. Nice decor, friendly real French owner.
Goulash was not on the lunch menu! Horrors! But not a problem; the owner and chef made it for me anyway. Hot freshly made rolls just out from the oven. Delicious!
The food alone was well worth the drive from Omaha! The best goulash I've had in years. Butter tender meat, tasty broth. Just wonderful! A little French hidden gem in Lincoln! A total but wonderful surprise!
They open at 5:30 for dinner. Best to make an online reservation because they have no phone and relatively few tables which are spread out and not crowded together. When I asked the owner, he said he wants people to feel comfortable, relax, and spend as much time as they wanted without feeling crowded or rushed. I wish more restaurants had the same philisophy!
Have tickets to a show at Lied's? Coming from Omaha? Make a dinner reservation here first! We did for an upcoming performance! And save room for dessert!

Me and my boyfriend had our first date at Momo back in ‘21 and we are moving to Houston on Wednesday. So it only felt right to finish up our NE chapter where it began. The food was INCREDIBLE. We even sent compliments to the chef. My boyfriend is a huge foodie with a background in culinary and rates his pork ribeye one of the best meals he’s EVER had. I will always be so happy and appreciative of our trips to Momo. Thank you for helping close our chapter here. Gracie is AMAZING! 10/10 customer service and humanity.”

Bathrooms clean. ordered Crunchy NE roll, California roll, Shumai, and Crab Rangoon. everything came out in less than 5 min...still not sure if we just got super fresh food fast or someone else's wrong order they managed to resell. Both rolls were enjoyable. Shumai was greasy. Obviously frozen, fried ahead of time bc it came out too quick to be fresh and wasn't hot enough. Crab Rangoons were good. Went for round 2 of food and asked what cut of meat they used for Steak teriyaki. I was told Angus...yeah, that's the type of cow but what cut of meat? "Don't know. Maybe sirloin." This is coming from the lady who introduced herself as the shift manager. Went with chicken teriyaki and "Sicilian Pizza Rolls". I mean...any Japanese Cuisine / Sushi restaurant with Scicilian Pizza Rolls must have these on the menu for a good reason, right? Someone must've been high as a kite because they took pizza bagel bites dipped in tempura and fried them. Intriguing, but not a smart menu item here. They use all the same steamed rice for sushi as they did for our side. overcooked and unseasoned. Teriyaki chicken came as cut up chicken breast with teriyaki sauce on the side with steamed rice and a big pile of sauteed vegetables. Both our server and shift manager were very friendly but uneducated about the food they're serving. I had to repeat everything we ordered for the waiter at least once if not twice slowly. No prices on the main menu for individual plates so not sure how much you're going to pay unless you ask them to show you their handheld order-taker.”

We love cooking but when we want to go out to eat, this is pretty much the only place we go. Because it’s consistently outstanding. We tend to be disappointed by other restaurants and Piedmont has amazing consistent waitors and hosts that we recognize and that recognize us and amazing consistent chefs. The menu is a lot of fun. We always get the spinach gouda dip and I order the filet and my husband gets the ribeye or the duck !”

We also had had “the stache”, which is a hot link, with pulled pork, coleslaw, & bbq sauce on it. It was very good, but our favorite was the pulled pork & collard greens. The signs, artwork, and general decor were fun - especially to me!”

She really seemed to like her job and did it very well! We liked her so much we returned later on that evening too. I hope management reads this and makes sure to take care of Wren because she is one of the reasons we will be back on our next trip to Lincoln.”

The food, as always, was outstanding (they by far make the best cheeseburger in Lincoln...hand-formed beef patties with just the right amount of juiciness)....when we left, FOUR different employees acknowledged us. The worker sweeping the floor told us to have a great evening, and he thanked us for coming, the person working in the kitchen thanked us and told us to have a nice evening, the guy wiping tables thanked us and told us to come back, and the person at the order counter said goodbye and thanked us for coming. WOW! Good food and great service! You just don't find that kind of employee kindness and attention anymore, so Don and Millies now has a permanent customer with us!”

Bathrooms clean. ordered Crunchy NE roll, California roll, Shumai, and Crab Rangoon. everything came out in less than 5 min...still not sure if we just got super fresh food fast or someone else's wrong order they managed to resell. Both rolls were enjoyable. Shumai was greasy. Obviously frozen, fried ahead of time bc it came out too quick to be fresh and wasn't hot enough. Crab Rangoons were good. Went for round 2 of food and asked what cut of meat they used for Steak teriyaki. I was told Angus...yeah, that's the type of cow but what cut of meat? "Don't know. Maybe sirloin." This is coming from the lady who introduced herself as the shift manager. Went with chicken teriyaki and "Sicilian Pizza Rolls". I mean...any Japanese Cuisine / Sushi restaurant with Scicilian Pizza Rolls must have these on the menu for a good reason, right? Someone must've been high as a kite because they took pizza bagel bites dipped in tempura and fried them. Intriguing, but not a smart menu item here. They use all the same steamed rice for sushi as they did for our side. overcooked and unseasoned. Teriyaki chicken came as cut up chicken breast with teriyaki sauce on the side with steamed rice and a big pile of sauteed vegetables. Both our server and shift manager were very friendly but uneducated about the food they're serving. I had to repeat everything we ordered for the waiter at least once if not twice slowly. No prices on the main menu for individual plates so not sure how much you're going to pay unless you ask them to show you their handheld order-taker.”
