“Sultan’s Kite is always fantastic! Great option to grab something and go, and the staff is always nice. Excellent bang for your buck in terms of price, and speed. Unless it’s packed, I’m usually in and out with my giant Greek Salad with Gyro Meat or Chicken Shawarma in under 10 minutes for under $10.“
“So my husband and I were driving around trying to decide what to eat when my husband said he had heard some good things about a modest Mediterranean place in a strip mall that has honestly seen it’s better days. So unable to come up with a better option we said why not. When we pulled up to the restaurant there was neary another person or car in sight which usually isn't a good sign. As we entered my doubts only increased when seeing the steam table filled with a myriad of dishes that were difficult for us to readily recognize but then we were heartily welcomed by the delightful owner who served as our culinary tour guide. As others have commented, before long she was forcing samples upon us of all the fare she had to offer and it seemed like each dish she handed us tasted even better than the last one we tried. It soon created an ordering dilemma that ultimately forced us to essentially beg her to let us each assemble a sampler platter three separate entrees. While neither my husband or I could say the names of most of the things we ate nor identify most of the ingredients in the dishes we consumed, I can honestly say that our experience was among the most delightful and unexpected dining excursions either of us has had anywhere, much less in Lincoln. While I am not typically an adventurous eater and tend to stick with cuisine choices that are more traditionally Americana, I want anyone out there, who like me, is reluctant to try something so far removed from the norm, to do themselves a favor, and give this place a chance to impress you the way we were. I dare say you won't be disappointed and perhaps just maybe we'll run into one another because we will definitely be back eagerly and often.“
“We went pretty late at night when most restaurants have already closed. We ordered the beef lamb mix with white rice and potato wedges and white sauce. Overall pretty delicious. Though the person working spoke so low I had to ask them to repeat themselves multiple times. Also after we ordered a few questionable people entered and made the atmosphere bleak.“
“This was my first visit to this hidden food gem! The gentleman working there was very friendly. The establishment was very clean. Nice array of food on the menu. The doctored up fries were outstanding. Tabouli salad was delicious! Prices are very reasonable. Healthy food compared to other fast food places. I will definitely return on the near future!“
“I’ve been eating gyros and fries here for years. Always great quality. Decided to take my wife and she loved the other options they have. Decided to finally leave a review due to them returning $500 that my wife dropped when ordering. They checked their security cameras and returned it before we even noticed. Good food and honesty keeps me coming back.“
“The only place you can get the best gyros in town! ? They previously had a location downtown but later moved location! Regardless of where they're at I'm glad to have found the same place that still sells the best gyros in town. The service is consistent and so kind! He's simply the best at what he does ?“
“I've never been to Afghanistan, but do have the good fortune to work with Afghani colleagues who are generous with the food they bring to the office. Bright flavors, nuanced grilled meats. Just right level of spice and heat. This restaurant provides that rare experience to taste food from a deep and complex cultural tradition and a personal perspective. I would recommend this place to anyone. The venue is small and has a fast food table arrangement but does also have a carpeted raised area where there is an option to sit and dine. As for me, takeout food was fantastic. The proprietor was articulate, informative and friendly.“
“The food is good and pretty consistent. The restaurant is clean. However, it feels like they don't want to sell Family Meals. Last time we went inside to order a family meal and the guy said it is too big and won't let us order it. We tried it again with drive thru the other day, and they insisted we have to come inside to place the order. Other than that, it is not bad.“
“I personally love to sit at the window and people watch over an extraordinary and not to mention CLEAN (halal is the correct word, I believe) food!! I've met Omar 2x and he is a delightful, intelligent and handsome young man! I will visit this place again and again!! **Edited as it should have been a 5 STAR REVIEW!!**Dietary restrictions: I do have dietary restrictions... Too many to list... And they have no problem customizing your menu!Parking: Depending on how busy it is downtown...parking could be a challenge on the street but if you can walk a few blocks-its worth it!Kid-friendliness: Idk if it's "kid friendly" however they don't frown on or evil eye children being children. Now.... running around like tasmanian devils may illicit different results.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap spots are available in front of the restaurant and along the street!“
